Chapter 82 Taking Advantage of Me When I'm Drunk
Colin saw Jessica laughing again and lost it.
He knew Jessica well. If she didn't like a guy, she'd always have this cold, indifferent look. But with a guy she liked, she'd be all smiles.
'Do they really have a history?' Colin's eyes burned with anger. "How dare you humiliate me? Do you even know what happens when you humiliate me?"
As he finished, eight bodyguards quickly surrounded Fergus.
Jessica stopped laughing and frowned. "Colin, what are you doing? This isn't Golden Valley City, don't be reckless!"
She knew Fergus was a formidable fighter, but taking on eight opponents at once was a different story.
But as soon as she said it, she regretted it. Was she actually worried about Fergus?
Colin snapped, "So what if it's not Golden Valley City? I can deal with Fergus anytime, anywhere!"
He looked at Fergus with disdain. "Not many people can make me this mad. You're one of them, and the consequences are serious. Now, kneel and apologize! Or I'll make you crawl under my legs in front of Jessica!"
Fergus was speechless.
He glanced at the bodyguards. "Using numbers to scare me?"
Colin sneered, "Yeah, using numbers. What are you gonna do about it?"
Strength was everything. If you had it, you could do whatever you wanted.
"I was wrong," Fergus blurted out.
Jessica was stunned. Fergus had never apologized to her, but now he was apologizing to Colin?
Colin smirked. Looked like Fergus was just a coward. Once he knelt, Jessica wouldn't like him anymore, right?
Fergus continued, "I thought you were just arrogant, but you're actually stupid. You forgot I can order the workers to what I want?"
Colin felt uneasy. "What do you mean?"
It wasn't that he forgot; he just never took Fergus seriously.
Fergus snapped his fingers.
Hundreds of workers rushed over, holding tools, surrounding the place. It looked like if Fergus gave the word, they'd turn Colin into part of the construction site.
"Still wanna use numbers to scare me? Let's see how you like it."
Colin's forehead was sweaty, his face pale with fear.
The eight bodyguards were shaking. No matter how good they were, they couldn't take on hundreds of people.
Colin tried to stay strong. "Don't be reckless! I'm here to sign a drug supply contract with the Ironclad Defense Ministry. I'm their partner. If you harm me, they won't let you off!"
He was bluffing; he was actually here to compete.
Fergus shook his head. "Judging by your smarts, I can guess the quality of your family's drugs. Go home and stop embarrassing yourself. I like using people's own methods against them. Kneel and crawl under my legs!"
He didn't want to waste more time on Colin. It was getting late, and he had a show to catch.
Colin was so mad he almost spat blood, cursing in his head, 'This guy really doesn't know his place. His clothes aren't even worth a thousand bucks, yet he dares to oppose me just because he can command some workers! If this were Golden Valley City, I'd make him cry for his parents.'
He snarled, "Fine, go ahead. Do you dare to let me make a call? If you do, I'll not only kneel but lie down too! Dare you?"
He couldn't kneel. That would be too humiliating if word got out. His only option was to call for backup.
Everyone thought his only protection in Tarynville was his bodyguards. Big mistake. The real muscle was his family's medical advisor, Aaron. Aaron could save him from this mess!
Fergus chuckled, "Are you gonna call Aaron?"
Colin's family owned InfiniCure Biotech, and Aaron worked for it. He must be calling Aaron.
Colin was taken aback, then sneered, "You know Aaron? Since you've heard of him, you should apologize right now."
"Why all the talk?" Fergus cut in, "Get Aaron here, I'm waiting!"
He had just let Colin off the hook. He planned to deal with him tonight, but now was even better.
"Arrogant!" Colin angrily dialed Aaron. "Aaron, I'm surrounded at Plot 140. Get over here!"
Aaron's voice was weak, "Mr. Lawson, I can't come right now. I just had a friendly spar and got a bit injured. I'm not up to it."
Aaron wasn't just a bit injured; he had broken a few ribs and even walking was painful.
Colin started to panic. If Aaron didn't come, how would he get out of this?
He anxiously said, "Aaron, I'm not just calling you for me. There's a guy here who knows you and specifically asked for you. He's extremely arrogant!"
"Who?" Aaron asked.
"Fergus!" Colin blurted out.
Aaron was stunned. 'Was Fergus doing this on purpose? Did Fergus deliberately find Colin to make me come?'
He absolutely couldn't go. If he went, he might not make it back!
Gritting his teeth, he said, "I was beaten by Fergus. If I'm not mistaken, Fergus is deliberately provoking and wants to beat me again. Mr. Lawson, we can't fall for it!"
He didn't want to spill the beans, but a few bodyguards had also been beaten. Colin would find out sooner or later.
Colin was also stunned. But if Aaron didn't fall for it, how would Colin leave?
He rolled his eyes and looked at Jessica, forcing a smile that was uglier than crying, "Jessica, we were classmates for four years. Can you ask your boyfriend to show some mercy? I wish you both happiness!"
Fergus was a bit embarrassed. Colin really knew when to yield.
Jessica thought for a moment and said, "Go, and don't bother me again. Otherwise, Fergus will beat you every time he sees you!"
Colin left dejectedly.
Fergus was just helping out and didn't plan to do anything more. Since Jessica let Colin go, he let him go too.
Fergus pulled his hand away. The show was over, and there was no reason for Jessica to hold him anymore. He then asked, "Why are you here, wearing a hard hat? Are you working?"
All the specific matters were handled by Sarah, so Fergus really didn't know.
Jessica saw Fergus' actions, and her face quickly darkened.
With a dark face, she said, "Fergus, don't play dumb with me. Even though I got the contract, I reserve the right to sue you! Especially your feigned ignorance now, it disgusts me!"
After saying that, she turned and left.
Fergus was left bewildered. 'How could Jessica change her face so fast? I just helped her solve a problem, and now she's scolding me. Ungrateful?'
Angrily, he said, "Stop right there! Don't you know what gratitude is?"
Jessica suddenly turned around, her eyes filled with tears, and couldn't help but feel wronged. "Gratitude for what? Gratitude for giving me the contract? Or gratitude for you taking advantage of me when I was drunk?"
