Chapter 45 Mr. Hunt

"This method is great!"

Hayden and Logan unanimously agreed that regardless of whether Fergus was the culprit or not, anyone daring to mess with the land deserved to die!

If it was Fergus, even better.

They would counterattack to nip the threat in the bud.

"Thank you, Mr. Hunt!"

"Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Hunt!"

Both of them bowed simultaneously.

Mr. Hunt nodded, "Go prepare the things. I'll come to break the curse in an hour!"

After saying that, he closed his eyes and stood still as if he were a wooden stake nailed to the ground.

This freaked Hayden and Logan out, making them think Hunt was dead, or at least stiff as a corpse.

Walter laughed and said, "No need to worry, gentlemen. Mr. Hunt is in a state of spiritual wandering. Although his body is here, his spirit is elsewhere. You don't need to worry."

The two exchanged glances, excitement in their eyes. They had found a true expert this time!

Soon, the news spread like wildfire in Tarynville, which was also the result of Logan and Hayden's deliberate publicity. After all, the news about the Plot 140 being infested with poisonous insects had already spread.

Only by informing everyone know that the issue has been resolved could they guarantee the interest of potential buyers.

In just half an hour, Plot 140 was crowded with people, packed to the brim.

At Johnson Group, in the office.

"Fergus, did you do something to Plot 140?"

Sophia sat opposite him, speaking coldly.

Although her father still had doubts, she was very certain it was related to Fergus. She had felt something was off at the racetrack before, and now she was even more sure.

So, after seeing Mr. Hunt, she came here immediately.

"Yes, it was me." Fergus admitted frankly.

He had just parted ways with Violet when she came looking for him, feeling helpless.

Seeing his nonchalance, Sophia was infuriated. No man in all of Tarynville had ever dared to be so flippant in front of her!

The men chasing her could go all around Tarynville, so why was he so impatient?

She said coldly, "I didn't expect you to admit it. Fine, I'm here to give you a chance."

"Hayden and Uncle Logan have invited a geomancy master. They not only want to break your curse but also to counterattack, which could be life-threatening!"

"Now, bow and apologize to me, and I can save your life!"

After saying that, she slightly raised her chin, eagerly waiting for him to bow in front of her. She was determined to tear off his hypocritical mask.

Fergus laughed, "No need. If you have nothing else, you can leave."

"Fergus!"

Shewas a bit frantic. "No one has ever ignored me like this. You're the first!"

"I don't know if it's how you are or if you're pretending, but in any case, this is your last chance. Otherwise, you really will die!"

He glanced at her casually and said indifferently, "Are you leaving or not? If not, I will!"

"You..." she clenched her fists in anger, staring at him.

She said furiously, "You're really ungrateful. I've never taken the initiative to find anyone. Since you want death I won't stop you, but you can't leave my sight!"

Sophia thought, 'When Mr. Hunt starts the ritual and he suffers the backlash, he will definitely beg me. I'll wait here to see him begging later. Let me see if you still dare give me the cold shoulder later on, acting strong!'

Fergus sat firmly and laughed, "Hayden will cry!"

At Plot 140, people were discussing.

"I heard Fergus cursed this place. Just now, Hayden and Logan said they want to kill him!"

"Really? Does Fergus have that kind of skill?"

"I don't know if Fergus could do that, but this Mr. Hunt in front of us is definitely a master. Look at how he stands; you can't do that without some skill!"

People looked at Mr. Hunt with respect and started discussing.

Hayden and Logan were all smiles, seeing Mr. Hunt standing still, feeling more confident.

Logan laughed, "Hayden, I've been wondering if this has anything to do with Fergus?"

Hayden shook his head. "I don't think so. Curses require learning and experience. Given Fergus's age, it's impossible!"

Logan said, "I hope it is him. If it is, we can get rid of this jerk thoroughly and stop him from bothering us. He's just like a toad that doesn't bite but disgusts people."

"Kill him once and for all, preferably."

At this moment, Mr. Hunt suddenly opened his eyes.

Whoosh!

The thousands of people around gasped in shock, as if a dead man had suddenly come back to life.

Mr. Hunt flipped forward, doing several somersaults to the altar!

With his hands behind his back, he stood still!

Walter, like a little follower, appeared from the side and said seriously, "Everyone, Mr. Hunt needs absolute silence. So, no matter what you see or hear next, do not move!"

"You absolutely cannot move!"

Logan also said seriously, "Do you understand? If anyone dares to disobey, don't blame me for turning my back on you!"

Hayden also said heavily, "Mr. Hunt is a powerful master. Seeing us in trouble, he made an exception to help. Displeasing him means bothering me, and if I'm displeased, you will be in trouble, as well!"

With Hayden and Logan speaking, no one dared to oppose. They all nodded and kept silent.

"You two, leave as well!"

Mr. Hunt finally spoke, "When I act, I will not only break the curse but also harm the person who set it. You can only watch from afar, not get close!"

Hayden and Logan were stunned.

Walter glared and said, "What Mr. Hunt says goes. Just do as he says. If you don't leave, you'll be covered in blood. If Mr. Hunt is pleased, he might even capture the spirit of the man behind!"

"Then, he might give you a Caduceus of Compulsion to vent your anger!"

Hayden and Logan had never heard of such methods before. Their hearts raced with excitement as they quickly retreated to the crowd, watching with anticipation.

"Mr. Hunt, it's ready!" Walter said obsequiously.

"You get out, too!" Mr. Hunt said coldly.

Walter fell silent.

As he was leaving.

Mr. Hunt leaped high and, upon landing, slammed his palm onto the altar. The other items on the altar remained still, but a flame appeared in his hand, dancing on his fingers!

Everyone's eyes widened at the scene. They had seen exorcists and magicians, but they only talked, never actually doing anything.

Now, Mr. Hunt was lighting a fire with his fingers!

Walter, standing in the crowd, explained, "These are just small tricks. Don't be shocked; the real show is yet to come!"

After lighting the incense, Mr. Hunt continued to break the curse.

"By the power of the Aether, I command! Break this curse, banish this evil! I, vow here and now, let light prevail, darkness be gone!”

Saying this, he clasped his hands together, trembling all over as he chanted, "Rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Fear be banished, I am fearless and bold!"

In an instant, wind rose from the ground as the grass and trees swayed!
