Chapter 98 Are You Stupid?

Dealing with this mess was just a waste of time; he figured he'd let Paul handle it.

Watching a dog-eat-dog situation was always entertaining.

Paul was a bit puzzled. How was he supposed to bite them?

He rolled his eyes and said, "Mr. Yost, you just knocked out my teeth; my mouth hurts, so I can't bite."

Even though Paul was scared of Fergus, it was clear these guys didn't seem to fear him. Letting them deal with Fergus would be killing two birds with one stone.

Colin didn't give a damn about Paul and squinted, "Fergus, don't test my patience. It's running thin. One last warning, this is Golden Valley City. If I want you dead, no one can save you!"

Even if Fergus was with the Gray Family, they could handle him before he reached Violet. They had to vent their anger somehow.

A few young guys around rolled up their sleeves, ready to throw down at any moment.

The crowd quickly moved aside.

Someone whispered to Fergus, "Colin is the heir to InfiniCure Biotech and has a lot of pull in Golden Valley City. A smart man knows when to back off; just apologize."

"Apologizing to Mr. Lawson isn't a big deal. Think about getting out of here."

"There are only two of you, and so many of them. Why get beat up?"

Some folks shook their heads and sighed. Nowadays, a person like that isn't seen as a hero but as a fool.

Fergus looked at Paul again and asked calmly, "Are you gonna bite or not?"

Paul had heard about their identities. They were big shots in Golden Valley City. Even though Fergus was a Grand Master, messing with these family scions wouldn't be easy!

Why did he get involved?

He braced himself and said, "Mr. Yost, my teeth really aren't good, I can't do it."

He decided to ignore it; what could Fergus do to him?

Fergus casually slapped him and said, "If you don't bite them, I'll keep hitting you until you do."

Paul was speechless.

Everyone around was stunned. They started talking immediately.

"What's he doing? Hitting his own guy?"

"This guy must be nuts, who hits their own people?"

"He must be a spoiled brat, not wanting to kneel and lose face, but also not daring to disobey Mr. Lawson, so he takes it out on his own guy. Honestly, I despise people like that the most!"

The last comment made Colin nod in agreement.

Colin put his hands in his pockets and sneered, thinking Fergus wasn't so dumb after all. He knew not to act recklessly in Golden Valley City. If they were in Tarynville, Fergus would have killed someone by now.

He must be scared!

Mockingly, Colin said, "Fergus, since you're hitting your own guy, I'll give you more time to perform. Keep hitting him. You cripple him first, and then I'll cripple you."

Another young guy also mocked, "This is the first time I've seen an idiot taking out his anger on his own guy. Hilarious."

Fergus acted like he didn't hear and slapped Paul again, making his nose bleed. "Bite or not?"

Paul clenched his fists, feeling extremely pissed. They insult Fergus, and Fergus hits him?

Fergus slapped him again, making his face swell.

Colin and his crew laughed harder, finding it more entertaining.

People around couldn't stand it and angrily snapped.

"Are you done? Addicted to violence? He's your friend!"

"He keeps hitting you, and you just take it? Fight back!"

"You're pathetic, just standing there letting him hit you. If I were you, I'd help Mr. Lawson beat him up. A man shouldn't let himself be bullied!"

"Shut up!" Paul suddenly shouted, angrily cursing, "What does it matter to you if I get hit? Do I need your concern? Are you stupid? If anyone dares to talk nonsense again, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

He didn't dare to hit Fergus, but he dared to hit the bystanders.

The crowd was stunned by Paul's outburst.

A guy angrily shouted, "You're the stupid one."

Before he could finish, Paul rushed up, grabbed the guy's collar, and slapped him repeatedly. He might be powerless in front of Fergus, but he was a beast compared to regular folks.

The crowd gasped and quickly backed away. They thought Paul was a pushover, but they never expected him to be such a good fighter.

They all started cursing Paul in their heads, thinking he deserved to be hit.

Fergus shook his head slowly, thinking the guy deserve it for being too noisy, especially since Paul himself hadn't even complained.

Colin and his crew laughed even harder, thinking it was a classic case of survival of the fittest. No one dared to hit him, so they bullied the weaker.

Colin stopped laughing and arrogantly said, "You're pretty good, understanding quick revenge. How about this, I'll give you a chance. Take down Fergus, and from now on, I'll protect you!"

Colin's buddies chimed in. "Hurry up and thank Mr. Lawson. You know, Mr. Lawson doesn't often take people under his wing!"

"Don't waste time, we still need to go to the auction, hurry up and settle this."

Fergus slapped Paul again. "Yes, I need to attend the auction, hurry up and settle this!"

This slap made Colin and the others laugh again.

But the next second, the situation flipped.

"What are you laughing at! I'll kill you. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have taken so many slaps!" Paul quickly rushed towards Colin, finally realizing that if he didn't act, Fergus could beat him to death right here.

He grabbed Colin's hair with one hand and started hitting with the other.

The crowd was completely dumbfounded. Paul actually attacked Mr. Lawson? Was he crazy or just a glutton for punishment?

"Stop, don't hit Mr. Lawson!"

"Everyone, get him!"

"Beat him!"

Several young men surrounded Paul, but they were no match for him. Paul was once the Underground Emperor of Tarynville and had trained under Master Dusk, who ranked sixth in Mountain State, for ten years!

If it weren't for Fergus, Paul would have been the Underground Emperor of Tarynville by now!

In just ten seconds, these scions were all rolling on the ground, crying out in pain.

"Stop, who dares to cause trouble in front of Treasure Pavilion!" A voice boomed from outside the crowd.

Then a group of people in Treasure Pavilion uniforms rushed over, surrounding the scene.

The crowd buzzed with excitement.

"It's Captain Jenkins, now it's going to get interesting!"

"Yeah, this is the entrance to Treasure Pavilion. No one has dared to cause trouble here for years. I heard the last person who did had their limbs broken on the spot!"

"And today is such an important day. If Treasure Pavilion doesn't handle this well, their reputation will take a hit!"

Captain Jenkins, seeing the scene, frowned and shouted, "Who started this!"

"It was him!" People pointed at Paul.

Colin, lying on the ground, screamed, "Captain Jenkins, help me deal with him. I want to cripple this fool. How dare he hit me here. Cripple him!"

Captain Jenkins then recognized the beaten-up Colin and realized the severity of the situation. InfiniCure Biotech was a big name in Golden Valley City, and Colin's father was a VIP customer of Treasure Pavilion!

The guy who got slapped also squeezed out from the crowd, crying, "Captain Jenkins, you have to back me up, I was beaten by him too!"

Captain Jenkins glared at Paul and questioned angrily, "Do you have any defense?"

Paul quickly looked at Fergus. "Mr. Yost, I did this according to your instructions, you have to speak up."

He still tried to shift the blame to Fergus.

Fergus slapped him again. "I told you to hit, so you hit. Are you stupid? If I told you to kill yourself, would you?"
