Chapter 56 Surrounding the Office Building

This wasn't Westside Manor.

The gate in front of them had bold letters; Red Pharmaceuticals!

Since Sophia and Tyler's wedding was at 8 PM, it was too early to go now.

"Are we here to... promote a collaboration?" Fergus asked in surprise.

"Yes!" Violet beamed with happiness. "Uncle Samuel said armed forces are short of medical supplies, and Red Pharmaceuticals is the largest pharmaceutical company in the state. It's perfect for us to collaborate with them."

"I'll handle the negotiations, but you'll sign the contract."

Violet had originally planned to leave all the work to Fergus. After all, he was the friend of Radiant Overlord Ryan. However, her father called yesterday, saying that if she could achieve something, she wouldn't have to marry her fiance.

She couldn't wait any longer; she had to take action herself!

Fergus looked at her.

He felt a bit sorry for her. If she could secure the collaboration, she could escape the arranged marriage. That moment should be her happiest, but her fate was full of hardships!

Even though there was a cross, fate was unpredictable...

It seemed he should quickly prepare the materials to change her fate and help her live happily and prosper.

He nodded and said, "Alright."

The two walked straight into the office building, led into an office by a staff member. After about a minute, Marlin Norris, the chairman of Red Pharmaceuticals, walked in.

He clasped his hands together and smiled, "Ms. Gray, I apologize, I was just in the workshop... Fergus? You're not dead!"

He was halfway through his sentence when he exclaimed in shock.

He knew what happened last night at Twilight Ridge Estate. He was furious; not only was Oliver humiliated, but he also lost five million. If it weren't for Scarlett's intervention, Marlin would have personally sent someone to deal with Fergus!

Marlin thought, 'Fergus is just Violet's subordinate, how dare he hurt my son? Is he tired of living?'

Violet was about to greet him with a smile, but she froze when she heard this and asked, "You know each other?"

Fergus was also surprised. "You know me?"

He didn't seem to remember meeting him.

"Hmph!"

Marlin snorted coldly and sneered, "How could I not know? You hurt Oliver badly. Fergus, you hurt my son last night, and today you come to Red Pharmaceuticals."

"I have to say, you really have guts!"

After saying that, Marlin no longer showed his previous respect, sitting in the chair with his legs crossed.

Violet was confused. She didn't know what happened last night, and Sarah didn't mention it.

Seeing her confusion, Fergus briefly explained.

Marlinsuddenly said, "The process doesn't matter; I only care about the result. The fact is, he hit my son. Ms. Gray, if you want the agency rights of Red Pharmaceuticals, you can have it!"

"The condition is that Fergus kneels down and kowtows to me three times."

"Otherwise, no deal!"

Marlin pondered, 'My collaboration with Mr. Zimmerman is still a secret, anyway. Otherwise, Violet wouldn't have come to negotiate. I could threaten them with this. Even if Fergus kowtowed, I would still refuse to collaborate out of spite.'

He wanted to play Fergus to death!

Violet's heart trembled. Whether they could collaborate or not was related to her future happiness, but making Fergus kneel was absolutely impossible!

She smiled and said, "Mr. Norris, there's a saying that no fight, no friendship. Fergus and your son were just impulsive. How about this, let's have lunch together and bury the hatchet?"

Practically, Marlin would never dare to offend Violet, but it was different now. He had John backing him, and John had made it clear that he was here for Violet!

He shook his head. "Ms. Gray, I really want to, but there's no room for negotiation on this matter. If he kneels, we collaborate. If he doesn't..."

"Mr. Zimmerman also likes Red Pharmaceuticals' products and is looking for a deal. If he doesn't kneel, I'll collaborate with him instead!"

"Fergus, if I were you, I wouldn't trouble Ms. Gray. Kneel down immediately!"

After saying that, he looked at Fergus mockingly.

Violet couldn't help but frown, about to tell Fergus not to kneel.

At this moment, Fergus suddenly said, "You've already collaborated with John. You're saying all this on purpose!"

She quickly looked at him in surprise.

Marlin's face changed, but he couldn't admit it. He sneered, "Nonsense!"

"Ms. Gray, your subordinate is disloyal. Our collaboration would bring you great benefits, and the only thing I want is him kneeling and apologizing."

"For his pitiful pride, he refuses to kneel."

"I can only say, you've got the wrong guy!"

Violet didn't respond, looking at Fergus and asking nervously, "Has he really collaborated with John?"

She knew John had a purpose for coming here. Now it seemed she was the target!

If John and Marlin collaborated, it would be a disaster for her.

"Probably."

Fergus wasn't entirely sure either. "John was also there last night, and Oliver was waiting for John there. If they weren't connected, how could they appear together?"

Violet frowned even more and mused, 'It makes sense!'

"Do you think you're Sherlock Holmes, always figure things out?"

Marlin casually lit a cigarette, smirking, "Ms. Gray, frankly, I haven't collaborated with Mr. Zimmerman yet. But if he doesn't kneel, who knows?"

"It's up to you!"

After saying that, he took a puff, showing a relaxed and mocking expression. He was confident that he had them cornered.

Violet looked at his expression again. Although she couldn't let Fergus kneel, she still wanted to verify the collaboration and tried to figure out the truth from his expression.

Fergus smiled faintly, "Violet, it's simple to find out if they've collaborated."

As he spoke, he walked straight toward Marlin and casually said, "You should know the whole story from last night. It was clearly Oliver's fault, and I was already lenient by not crippling him. Now, I'll give you a chance. Have you collaborated with John or not?"

Marlin saw him approaching and became even more disdainful. He sneered, "Who do you think you are to give me a chance? You're just Ms. Gray's dog..."

Before he could finish, Fergus rushed up and slapped him.

He calmly asked, "Have you collaborated or not?"

"You dare hit me?!"

Marlin was stunned, half of his face numb. He was filled with disbelief and rage.

"Fergus!" Violet was also shocked. She didn't expect him to suddenly get physical.

Fergus turned and smiled, "If you don't discipline your son, it's only natural for me to hit him. Moreover, I only did it lightly."

Marlin was furious, quickly standing up and cursing, "I..."

Slap!

Fergus slapped him again, knocking him back into his seat. He calmly said, "If you don't speak, I'll keep hitting you. Let's see which is tougher; your stubbornness, or your face!"

"You..." Marlin's nose was bleeding. He looked at Violet, snarling, "Ms. Gray, don't you want to collaborate? Won't you do something?"

He realized he couldn't beat Fergus and didn't want to suffer more, so he turned to Violet.

Violet thought for a moment before sternly saying, "Mr. Norris, please show some respect. Fergus is my partner, and his actions fully represent me!"

At this moment, she had to support him, even if it meant losing this opportunity.

Marlin's eyes widened in anger, "Fine, fine, fine. Since Ms. Gray unconditionally supports him, don't blame my rudeness!"

"Secretary, get all the factory workers out here!"

The secretary, who had been waiting outside, quickly contacted the workshop workers upon hearing Marlin's shout. In less than a minute, over a thousand workers emerged from the workshop, densely packed like a tide.

They quickly surrounded the office building!
