Chapter 104 Too Much Nonsense

In a super creepy vibe, Fergus's shout was like a lightning bolt out of nowhere!

Everyone jumped.

It wasn't 'cause they were scared of Fergus, but 'cause they didn't see it coming. The thing was, this was a showdown between two Grand Masters. Compared to them, Fergus was just a nobody. How did he even dare to bid?

Jennifer, up on stage, was floored.

Master Dusk and Master Thunder were floored too.

Everyone in the room looked at Fergus like he was some kind of alien.

Out of nowhere, Mr. Fisher stood up, fuming, and yelled, "How dare you! This is a battle between two Grand Masters, and you think you can join in? You little piece of trash, apologize to the Grand Masters right now, or I won't be nice about it!"

Others started shouting too.

"Who do you think you are? Let me tell you, even if you're Ms. Gray's partner, the Grand Masters can make you disappear without a trace. Don't dig your own grave!"

"Fergus, you better apologize now. If you keep this up, even if the Grand Masters don't do anything, I'll make you regret it!"

With all the yelling, Master Dusk and Master Thunder were pissed too. Who did Fergus think he was to butt in?

Jennifer's eyes were full of open disdain. He was really asking for it. They'd almost forgotten about Fergus, and here he was, handing himself over.

Amidst all the cursing, Fergus raised his hand and waved it off, saying coolly, "You all look like a bunch of losers, sucking up even harder than before. I really wanna know, do your families know you're being such losers out here? This is an auction. Whoever's got the cash gets the prize. I'm offering two billion dollars. Anyone wanna compete, go ahead. If you don't have the money, zip it!"

If he wasn't worried about causing more trouble, Fergus would've slapped each of them himself.

Now everyone was about to blow a fuse. They'd seen arrogance before, but never like this!

But, they really didn't have the money.

Jennifer couldn't take it and said, "Fergus, are you sure you wanna offer two billion dollars? Let me tell you, if you can't come up with the money, Treasure Pavilion will charge you with disrupting the order, and that's a big deal here!"

How could a jerk like him be showing off?

Fergus replied coolly, "If I say it, I can back it up. Just say it's a deal, and I'll pay!"

Jennifer was speechless 'cause she didn't dare to say it was a deal. This Night Pearl was something the two Grand Masters wanted. She could only slowly look at the Grand Masters.

Master Thunder sneered and mocked, "Interesting. Master Dusk, what's this about? Are you setting up a fall guy?"

Sitting next to Fergus was Paul, his apprentice. They should be tight.

Master Dusk frowned, just as confused, and said coldly, "Paul, what kind of friends do you have? Why's he causing trouble here?"

Paul? Everyone turned to look at Paul. Many had heard Master Dusk had an apprentice named Paul. They hadn't thought about it until now. They started whispering.

"So Fergus and Paul are friends. No wonder he's so cocky!"

"So what if he's friends with Paul? Master Dusk has said that Paul can't save him!"

"Exactly!"

Under everyone's gaze, Paul stood up, breaking down, tears in his eyes, choking out, "Master Dusk, he's not my friend. He always hits me. Look at my face, he even wants to kill me!"

Paul's face was already swollen.

The crowd was in an uproar. "What?"

What had Fergus done!

"What?" Master Dusk was furious, glaring at Fergus. "How dare you hit my apprentice?"

His voice was like thunder, booming in everyone's ears. Paul was his most prized student, with the potential to become a Grand Master in twenty years. And someone dared to hit Paul!

Master Thunder secretly raised his guard. Just from that shout, it seemed like Master Dusk had gotten a lot stronger since last year.

Fergus shook his head, looking exasperated. "I don't get why you all talk so much. The fight's already over, so what's the point of asking if I dare?"

People outside weren't like those in prison. In prison, there was no unnecessary talk; if someone didn't like you, they just hit you. Sometimes, they didn't even need a reason; they just hit.

But here, they always had to talk nonsense first.

"Kid, you're asking for it!" Master Dusk's aura suddenly flared up, and he looked ready to pounce.

"Master Dusk!" Jennifer shouted, her face pale with fear, and she reminded him with a trembling voice, "This is Treasure Pavilion. Don't break the rules!"

If their reputation got trashed, business would be tough to handle.

Master Dusk stopped abruptly, his breathing heavy with anger, filled with killing intent, but he didn't move.

Fergus had planned to cripple Master Dusk if he dared to come at him, but unfortunately, he didn't. He urged, "If I remember right, time's up. Shouldn't the Night Pearl be mine?"

Auctions had rules; they couldn't wait forever for someone to bid, or a single auction could drag on for days.

Hearing this, Jennifer glared at him viciously. It was truly disgusting. She thought, 'I just won't say it's a deal. What can you do about it?'

She looked ahead and asked, "Do the two Grand Masters wish to continue bidding?"

Both of their mouths twitched simultaneously. Two billion dollars was a huge sum for any enterprise, and this price far exceeded the value of the Night Pearl. There was no need to bid higher.

At this moment, someone walked out from the No. 1 box on the left side.

A woman in a gown walked out, swaying her hips, and said with a smile, "Mr. Yost is really wealthy, which makes me admire you very much. As the saying goes, spending money is to make women smile. Mr. Yost, could you buy the Night Pearl and give it to me?"

Her voice was super seductive, making everyone eager to hear more.

However, no one in the room dared to be tempted.

"Aria!"

"Why is she here?"

If seeing the two Grand Masters made everyone shocked, seeing Aria left them only with fear!

In Mountain State, Aria's reputation was well-known. She was once the woman of a kingpin. On their wedding day, she killed the kingpin and poisoned the eighteen leaders at the banquet, taking over all the underground forces in one night!

It was said that no one targeted by Aria could live for more than an hour; she was more poisonous than a viper.

"Aria? It's not cool to threaten others for the Night Pearl!" Another voice came out.

A young man walked out from the No. 1 box on the right side, one hand behind his back, the other holding a fan, smiling lightly, "Your real opponent is not him; it's me."

Seeing this young man, everyone's hearts trembled again.

Eric Allen, nicknamed the Little Emperor of Mountain State.

The Allen Family was originally an obscure small family, but three years ago, the eldest daughter of the Allen Family married the second son of the Garcia Family from Capital City. The Garcia Family was one of the seven major families in the country, ranking even above the Gray Family!

Since then, they had soared to great heights.

Seeing Eric, Aria's gaze became deeper. "So it's the Little Emperor. I was wondering who it was. Are you, a dignified man, going to compete with me?"

Eric fanned himself and smiled lightly, "I have that intention."

Aria sneered, "I'm afraid you won't be able to take it. I am determined to get this Night Pearl today!"

Eric countered. "What a coincidence, so am I!"

Their gazes clashed!

"Damn it!" Fergus cursed, standing up and looking at the two of them, annoyed, "Can you two say a little less? I just wonder are you going to raise the bid or not? Why so much nonsense!"
