Chapter 11- A Nagging Boss
There on the screen was none other than myself as I barely looked at the documents, rather, I busied myself with the episode I didn't even waste time on. Now she was going to think I was really incompetent.
“ Well, explain yourself, give me a reason, just one reason to tell me you're not incompetent?” This is exactly what I was just saying and she had me in such a way I couldn't bring myself out. I had done other office work but not the particular one she had asked me to do.
I couldn't go back and revisit what I've already done. I finished those documents a long time ago, I took my time to make sure everything was well taken care of and now she wanted me to get them done in just one day. Was she crazy? Of course she was crazy.
And why the hell would she be watching me? What type of work environment was she trying to create for me? The one where my boss was practically breathing down my neck, I couldn't live like that.
What did she want me to do now that she knows I didn't look at the documents? Do them now? She's a dreamer.
“ Miss Miller, I already worked on those documents and your grandfather knows they're good and I took my time on them. There's nothing for you to worry about." I said, trying to see reason with her.
" That's the thing, that is something you've refused to come to terms with, I am not my grandpa, if you need me to do another introduction for you, I'll do it, I am Ariana Stone Miller, that's my name,” Whoever gave her stone as her middle name knew what they were doing. The name suits her perfectly.
“ And it doesn't matter that my grandpa thinks you've done a perfect job, I'm going to remind you that I'm not him which means that I want you to review those documents and you're going to start now,”
" You're kidding right?” I asked.
" Try me, by now you should know that I'm not the type of woman that jokes, when I say something it's because I mean it,”
There would be war any moment from now if it turns out she actually means all she's saying right now.
“ You better…” her phone started ringing, stopping whatever she wanted to say.
" Hi Mom, no, I'm doing fine, it was just a little cut, it would heal, you know I have a soft skin, it's nothing serious,” She said as she narrowed her eyes on me.
" I'll be home, Mom, let me just wrap up a few things then I'll be home," She said as her eyes went to her computer then she turned to me again.
“ I'll be home, don't worry, I love you too, see you in a few," She said before she ended the call and dropped her phone.
“ Just why the hell am I filled with incompetent people? What are those maids doing that they'll allow my Mom to watch that horrible news? Now she's worried," She said as she turned to glare at me.
“ Get out!" She snapped like I was the cause of all her life problems.
I was about to drop the files but she stopped me.
“ Take them with you, you're not done, we'll continue this discussion tomorrow," God, is this woman a wolf or something?
I didn't need her to tell me twice. I took the documents and walked out of her office.
Can't believe I survived another day of working with a witch.

ARIANA'S POV
I was exhausted after a long day at work. I told that incompetent assistant of mine to get out of my sight, it was like whenever I see him my blood just starts to boil and I find myself putting all my anger on him.
I walked out of the company as I asked my driver for my car key. I got into my car and started the car as I drove home.
The car was filled with the low tone of Ariana grande singing friends. Don't think anything, she's not my favorite because we have the same name. It just so happens that that was what was playing on the radio and it sounded nice so I didn't see a need to change it.
I reached the mansion and immediately the gate opened for me as I drove in and parked in front of the house.
I took my bag and water bottle as I stepped out of the car and entered the house.
“ Welcome Miss Miller,” One of the maids said as she quickly rushed to me and collected my bag and the jacket I was holding.
" Where is Agnes?" I asked as I walked further into the house.
“ She's in the kitchen cutting fruits for your mom," the maid said with her head down, already knowing that Agnes was in trouble.
I walked to the kitchen and there she was cutting fruits like she was actually doing her job when she wasn't.
“ Agnes," I called and her back immediately stiffened as she turned to me.
“ Hello…uhm good evening Miss Miller,” She said as she dropped the knife she was holding and looked at me with fear clear as day in her eyes. If she didn't do something wrong she wouldn't look so scared.
“ It seems the conversation I had with you last time was useless right?" I asked as I folded my hands and looked at her.
“ No ma," She said with her eyes down, something I hated when women do it.
“ Look at me when I'm talking to you," I snapped and her head immediately looked up as she started fidgeting with her shirt.
“ Then explain why you would let my mother watch the News, especially when it's something that has to do with my well being. Do you want her to have a panic attack and die? Is that what you want?!" I asked, anger boiling inside me.
" No Miss Miller,” She said as her eyes started to fill with tears as she shook her head.
“ What is wrong with you people? What is so hard that you can't get something done correctly? I pay you to take care of my Mom and that includes preventing her from seeing or doing anything that affects her health but you just care about the money, do you think if I were to pay you based on performance you would be getting a dime from me? No, I just hate lazy people but it is so unfortunate I'm surrounded by them. This is your last warning,” I said before storming out of the kitchen and heading to my mom's room.
I reached my mom's room and then without knocking I pushed the door open but immediately stopped in my tracks at the sight before me.
