Chapter 173- The Crash
ARIANA'S POV
I climbed down from my bed as I quickly rushed to my closet to get dressed. I picked the first thing my hand touched but for some reason I stopped as I contemplated my decision. I couldn't just blindly go out at such an hour to meet with someone I didn't trust. That woman could be planning something and I might be falling right into her trap.
I threw the clothes I was holding as I returned back to bed. I'd deal with her another time but not tonight.
I would show her that she didn't have the right to send such a message to me.
‘ Hardin is mine, stay away from him, let's talk, meet me at Olive bridge.’ I couldn't help but scoff as I thought about the message.
She's fucking stupid and I would have called myself stupid if I had walked out of this room to go meet her.
I got under my comforter as I drew it to my chin waiting for sleep to come take me.
But time went by and I found myself still staring at the ceiling unable to sleep. What was wrong with me? I shouldn't let something like that bother me.

I woke up next morning with a stretch as I walked to my bathroom to do my business. When I was done I brushed my teeth before I walked under the shower to have my shower. I couldn't help but sigh as I closed my eyes. It felt like the water was washing away all my stress as I felt some kind of relief on my body.
When I was done showering, I stepped out of the shower as I dried my body before I wrapped a fluffy towel around my body and one on my hair.
I walked into my closet to get ready for work. I looked through my clothes deciding to get ready with a blue two piece suit and white heels. I got dressed, letting my blonde hair fall in waves behind me as I sprayed my perfume.
When I was done I gave myself a once over look as I took a white bag before stepping out of the closet. I took my phone from the bedside table as I walked out of my room.
“ Good morning Grandpa," I greeted as I kissed my grandpa on the cheek before pulling a chair and sitting down.
“ Where's everyone?" I asked because Sasha wasn't at the dinning nor was my Mom.
“ Maybe they're tired,” my grandpa said with a shrug.
“ Hey, good morning," Sasha said as she walked to my grandpa and kissed his cheeks.
“ I'm sorry I won't be able to stay for breakfast, I'm running late for my shoot," she said as she waved at me already making her way to the door and I couldn't help but laugh.
My grandpa and I ate in a comfortable silence and he finished first as he stood up and went to his study while I kept eating my food hoping that my Mom would come.
I finished eating and there still wasn't any sign of my mom so I walked to her room. I stopped in front of the door and knocked but didn't get any response.
“ Mom," I called from outside before slowly pushing the door open.
“ Mom, are you okay?" I asked as I walked to her bed to see that she was still sleeping.
I rested my hand on her head to feel her temperature and it was normal. Maybe grandpa was right and she was just tired. I adjusted the blanket on her body before slowly getting up and quietly walking out of her room as I closed the door behind me.
“ Agnes," I called for my mom's maid and she came running.
“ Make sure you check up on my Mom when she wakes up, call the doctor if there's any need." I said.
“ Yes ma'am," she said and I nodded before walking out of the house.
I was surprised to find Hardin waiting outside for me.
“ Good morning Mrs Miller," he said as he opened the car door for me and I managed a smile before I got into the car.
He turned over to the driver's side and got into the car and then without saying another word he started the car and drove out of the mansion.
The car ride was filled with tension as none of us said a word.
“ About what you saw…”
" I don't think there's a need for you to explain yourself to me,” I said, cutting him short and he didn't seem to like it.
“I'm still going to say what I want to anyways," he said and I kept quiet as I waited for what he was going to say.
“ I was lost in the moment, I just couldn't control myself when she looked so weak and vulnerable, I fell for it which is my fault. I know we agreed on having a relationship and what you saw must have given you some type of doubt, I'm clean and you have nothing to worry about.” He said.
That was it? That was all he was going to say?
“ That's alright, it's a good night you care about my health," but not my heart.
I smiled at him hiding what I was really feeling inside as I turned to the window so he wouldn't see the hurt in my eyes.
I don't think he knows this but he's into that woman and he's just in denial. He's forcing himself to be over her because that's the logical thing to do but his heart is doing something else to him.
I sighed and I could feel Hardin's eyes on me but I didn't say anything.
We were still on the road driving to work when a car suddenly crashed into us from behind and I gasped as I braced myself before I could hit my head.
“ Shit! Are you okay Miss Miller?" Hardin asked as he swirled the car to a stop turning to me in worry.
“ Miss Miller?" He called but my eyes weren't on him anymore, but they were on the person in the car in front of us.
