Chapter 26- Murderous Thoughts
What the hell did this woman want again? It was already time to go home. what? Just what did she want from me? Is it until she drains my blood that she would have peace?
As soon as she told me she wanted to see me in her office, she turned away from me and closed the door.
I contemplated ignoring her and just opening the goddamn elevator and going home or walking back to see her annoying face.
I could just tell her I didn't hear her speak, yeah, like she would believe me.
In anger I turned from the elevator as I walked to my office to drop the things I was holding before I walked to her office. I didn't bother knocking, I just pushed the door open, to hell with her and her stupid attitude.
“ You sent for me Miss Miller," I said as I looked at her, she had her eyes on her computer screen and I didn't give a fuck. Who told her I wanted to see her annoying face.
“ Tomorrow is my close friend's birthday, her name is Shantel Rossa, write her a birthday note, make it sound like me…” Yeah I get that, make it sound evil.
…” Send her roses, she likes them, red roses and then chocolates, make sure the chocolates you're picking are expensive, I don't give cheap things," she said and I tried my possible best not to roll my eyes.
She didn't give cheap things but she had a cheap attitude.
“ That would be all, you can continue what you were about to do, go ahead and run," She said as she waved her hand dismissively at me.
I didn't need to be told twice, I turned away from her and walked out of her office, every time I was close to the woman I always had murderous thoughts going through my head.
I walked to my office and took my things and without wasting time I walked to the elevator thanking the heavens that that witch didn't stop me this time.
I patiently waited for the elevator to reach the ground floor.
Just as I reached the ground floor my phone started ringing and I picked it to see it was a call from my best friend.
“ Hey sweet," I said with a smile as I walked towards the company exit.
“ Are you still up for some drinks tonight or you're still having a good time with our CEO?" She asked with a laugh.
“ Don't mock me Vera, I've been through a lot this week of work, you should be thinking of babying me," I said and she chuckled and I just had a feeling that she might be shaking her head.
“ Where are we meeting?" I asked.
“ At Ronny's, we decided to have barbecue and some drinks so Ronny decided to host," She said.
“ That's fine, I'll be there," I said
“ Not like you have a choice, silly," she said and I couldn't help but laugh as the cold air hit my face.
" See you later sweet,” I said.
" Alright bye,” She said before she ended the call.
I opened my black Bugatti and got in as the warmth of the car engulfed me. To think that that woman has left me on the road twice to find my way to the office when my car was just sitting in the company's parking lot makes me wanna laugh.
That woman sure has some nerves.
I started my car as I drove off heading home after being in the presence of none other than arrogant Ariana.
When I reached home, I parked my car in my garage as I walked out of the car and closed the door.
Was it just me or the weather was somewhat cold tonight. Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I just walked away from the ice queen? It wouldn't surprise me that that was the case.
That woman was evil.
I opened my house door as I kicked my shoes off my feet and wore my house slippers.
I walked into my room straight to the bathroom as I took off my clothes and then got under the shower. I turned on the hot water this time and immediately the water touched my skin, I felt my tense muscles loosen.
A stupid thought I didn't know where it came from suddenly filled my head and I felt like throwing up, where the fuck did my mind get the thought of me pressing that arrogant witch on my shower wall. Me and that repulsive woman, never, that would be the last woman I would ever want to touch.
Did all the other blondies go on exile that I would end up with a vile creature like that woman? That's crazy.
When I was done with my shower I dried my body as I tied a towel around my waist and walked out of the bathroom to my closet.
I looked through my clothes for what to wear when my hand touched a black jeans and I picked it with a white T-shirt and black leather jacket and I went to my sneakers collection and picked a blue and black Jordan.
I applied cream on my skin and dried my hair and in no time I was ready.
I walked out of my house to my garage as I opened my car and got in before driving out, heading to Ronny's house.
I sounded my car horn when I got to the gate and the gate opened as I drove in.
I parked my car just close to Vera's before I stepped out and went to meet them at the backyard of the house where the little barbecue party was being held.
“ Look who's here,” Jess, one of our friends, was the first to notice me as the others turned to look at me.
I hugged the girls making sure to squeeze their cute cheeks as they pushed my hands away and then I shook hands with the guys.
“I miss you guys,” I said as I sat on the chair beside Vera.
You could call us the orphan gang because we are all orphans and our story was quite deep but we survived, we all came up together.
“ How is it at work? I heard the new CEO is giving you a hard time and she's sexy," Mark said I narrowed my eyes at Vera.
“ Don't look at her like that, one way or another we would have found out tonight when you get drunk," A reminder to try not to get drunk because I don't know what I'll be saying.
Ronny finally came out with a crate of drinks and I gave him a fist pump before everyone started talking, gisting about what not.
Ronny suddenly stopped talking as he turned to me.
“ I think I saw someone, Hardin," he said and immediately everyone stopped talking as they turned their attention to him.
“ Who did you see?" I asked in curiosity.
“ I don't know if I was seeing things, but I think Claudia is in Los Vegas,"
