Chapter 150- Too Many Lies
HARDIN'S POV
“ Scar, one of the underworld Lords," he said and I had to stand up from my chair with a jerk like the information shocked my butt from sitting.
Maybe it was a different Scar, a different underworld Lord.
“ What did you just say?" I asked him,
“ Scar, that's the man who has the emerald eye, there was an auction for that jewelry and he went home with it," he explained,
How the hell did the jewelry we've been looking for end up in an auction room and as if that couldn't be worse it ended up in Scar's hands?
What the hell was going on?
“ Is there any other thing you'd like me to know?" I asked,
“ There's none for now but if there's any other thing I'll let you know," he said,
“ Alright thank you," I said before I ended the call.
Scar was in possession of the emerald eye? Damn, this is complicated, I know that Scar wouldn't give that jewelry back so easily, if it's in his possession through a bidding like the investigator said it means he must have spent mad ass money to get it.
How am I going to get it back? Should I call him or ask him to meet with me?
I looked at my phone screen as I contemplated calling him. I dialed his number and it rang several times but he didn't pick up. Could it be that he already knew what I was calling him for?
I had to look for a way to speak to him one way or the other.
‘ We need to talk,’ I quickly messaged him hoping that he would reply to me or call me. Scar could be a very difficult man if he wanted to be.
I couldn't concentrate on my work knowing that the emerald eye was just right in front of me but not knowing how to get it. And another problem was that what if my boss starts to think everything is a ploy and I had everything planned all along because how do I explain to her that he was with it?
There's no quitting this job because right now I'm fucking ass tired. Why did I sign that contract again? Yes, because Mr Miller made me do it.
“ I'm in deep shit,” I groaned as I ran my fingers through my hair.
If this wasn't happening, this was happening, it was like they were all out for the poor woman.
But one thing they should all know is that they'll be brought to book one by one.

ARIANA'S POV
I groaned as I stepped out of the car stretching my hands with a yawn. My back was aching, infact my entire body was aching thanks to Hardin.
I'd have to book an appointment with the massage therapist, these bones needed relief.
I walked into the house and the first thing that happened was that I was being dragged to a corner.
I was about to rain down hell on the person that dragged me not until I turned and saw that it was Sasha.
“ Sasha?" I called but her finger immediately went to her mouth telling me to keep quiet and I turned to her in confusion.
“ There's something going on, follow me,” she said as she held my hand and we both walked out of the house.
I was confused at what was going on that she looked so serious and I was eagerly waiting to find out.
She kept dragging me until she stopped at the garden and then she looked around before finally giving her attention to me.
“ What's wrong Sasha?" I asked,
“ Your Mom, is everything okay between your uncle and her?" she asked,
" I don't know, why are you asking?” I asked, trying to act like I didn't know what she might be implying.
“ I don't know but I've noticed how your Mom acts around him, it's like she's scared of him or something, anytime he's close to her she looks scared. Like right now, he was talking to her and they both started arguing about something, are you sure there isn't something they're hiding?” she asked,
I've asked the same question yet I didn't get any answer. My Mom has refused to tell me what was going on between her and uncle Garry.
“ Wait, they're arguing right now, is that what you're saying?" I asked already making my way back into the house.
" Mom!...Where are they?” I asked as Sasha pointed towards the living room where my Mom and uncle Garry were both talking, their voices loud but the moment they saw me they stopped talking.
“ You're not going to tell me there's nothing going on here that isn't suspicious, I'm not a kid mom so I'm going to ask once, what the hell is going on here?" I asked,
" Ariana it's…”
" Don't you dare tell me It's nothing, don't you even dare… and you…” I said as I turned to uncle Garry.
“Why? Why won't you just leave my Mom alone? What is it?" I asked as he just put his hands in his pocket looking at me, this wasn't a laughing matter.
“ Why don't you ask your mother rather than asking me, you think I'm the bad guy here? What am I saying? You always think I'm the bad guy," he said,
If I didn't know him well I'd feel bad for how he was feeling but I know who he truly was and what he was capable of.
He was about to walk away but I blocked him, I was tired of his silly games. This happens every time and when I get them arguing my mom tells me everything is going.
“ You're not leaving this place without telling me what you want from my mother," I said as he looked at me with hard eyes expecting me to cower.
" Ariana, I'm tired of watching you disrespect me and accuse me of things that I didn't do,” he said in anger,
" If you weren't behaving like a thief I wouldn't accuse you, you always act like you're hiding something, you're always sneaking around, always speaking to someone strange, what do you expect me to think?!” I asked and he scoffed,
" You think I'm the one hiding something?” he said as he turned to my mother before turning to me,
" Why don't you ask your mother who she truly is?”
