Chapter 142- I Care About You
ARIANA'S POV
I felt cold, yet hot at the same time. If I was reacting like this at merely seeing his picture, how did Harrison react at seeing him physically?
If I had doubts about what Harrison told me of how we suffered together, yet I couldn't remember, with this picture, it was a sure confirmation that we shared a past.
What was he doing outside when he was supposed to be in the four walls of prison?
I shakily picked my phone as I scrolled through it for the detective’s number.
I dialed the number and it rang for some time before he picked up.
“ What is that monster doing walking the streets of Las Vegas?" I asked as I heard the police officer sighed,
“ We didn't want to tell you he escaped prison because we were worried about the traumas but you found out, I'm sorry. We've been trying to get him but I don't know how he does it, you'd see him just before your eyes but before you call for backup he'd just vanish like he wasn't even there, I think someone is helping him," he said as I felt my breathing increased but I quickly calmed myself down.
Now was not the time to show weakness, I had a lot of people who were out there ready to bounce on any form of weakness I showed.
I told Harrison to be strong which means I also have to be strong and face my demons.
" You have to get him back in jail as soon as possible, not only for my sake, there are a lot of people's lives that are in danger with that man walking around freely.” I said,
“ I understand you ma'am, we'll do all we can to make sure he's captured and taken back to prison,” he said and I nodded but quickly realized he couldn't see me,
" Alright, please do,” I said,
" Alright, just be careful out there and avoid staying out too late and always have someone with you, if possible I'd advise you to get bodyguards,” he suggested,
" Alright, thank you,” I said,
" You're welcome, enjoy the rest of the day,” he said before I ended the call,
There was nothing to enjoy for the rest of the day or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. As long as I knew that that man wasn't in jail, I wasn't going to be alright.
A knock came on my door and I sat up straight, pushing all the negativity and bad energy out of my body.
“ Come in," I said as the door opened to reveal Hardin and doctor Charles.
I narrowed my eyes on him and he quickly removed his eyes from me like he didn't just do the opposite of what I asked him.
“ Miss Miller, good day, I heard you needed my assistant," the doctor said,
“ Please have a seat doctor Charles," I said and he nodded before he sat down,
“ Mind telling me what the problem is? Your assistant already told me about the little complication you had, but it'd be best if I heard it directly from you, you're the one who can describe how you feel better than anyone," he said,
“ Okay doctor," I said as I went ahead to explain how I felt skipping the reason why it happened,
“ It's nothing serious doctor, I just need an inhaler and I'll be fine, I told my assistant not to bother but he worries too much," I said as I turned my eyes on Hardin again and he looked everywhere except at me,
“ It's good, because health is good," the doctor said as he finished examining me.
“ With what happened, your blood pressure went up but it's not life threatening, just have enough rest and you'll be fine and don't forget to carry the inhaler just in case something like this happens again, and eat healthy," he said and I chuckled,
“ That would be all Miss Miller, do take care of yourself," he said before he turned to Hardin…" And keep being a good assistant,” he said and Hardin nodded.
" I'll take my leave now,” the doctor said,
" Thank you so much doctor,” I said and was about to stand up but Hardin stopped me,
" I'll walk the doctor to the door," he said and I nodded.
I watched as he walked the doctor to the door. The door opened and closed as they walked out.
Some minutes later the door opened and Hardin walked back inside.
“ I told you there was no need, why did you go ahead and call the doctor?" I asked,
“ I'm sorry but I had to, I was worried about you," he said and I sighed,
" Thank you Hardin,” I said and he nodded before walking out of my office.

HARDIN'S POV
I'm glad she was doing okay, that was all I wanted to know.
I got back to work as I tried to finish my piled up work. After our successful show we've just got a lot of work to deal with.
I buried myself in my work and the day went by in a blur.
I still had a lot of things to deal with even after working all day, so I had to take the unfinished work home.
I stood up with a stretch as I arranged the documents I'll be taking home with me in my bag and then I walked out of my office to my boss's office.
I knocked on her door and I heard her light voices telling me to come in, she sounded tired.
“ Miss Miller, are you ready to go?" I asked as soon as I opened the door,
" Yeah I'm ready, I'll just grab my bag,” she said as she stood up and walked to me as we both walked out of her office.
As soon as we walked out of the company, the cold air hit my face as I walked her to her car.
Just as I opened the door I heard my name and froze as I slowly turned.
“ What are you doing here?"
