Chapter 98- The Night Call
ARIANA'S POV
“ See you tomorrow Hardin," I said as he closed the car door for me before moving back, he gave me a simple nod before the driver started the car and drove off.
I noticed that something was bothering him but I didn't want to pry so I didn't ask him, although I was tempted to.
I rested my back on the car seat to get comfortable as I enjoyed the car ride home.
I just can't help but groan when I remember that Sasha was staying at our house. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like my friends staying over, it's just that Sasha can be a lot.
The driver drove into the gate and I braced myself for the long night I knew I was going to have. Sasha was going to tell me about her trip from the moment she stepped into the airport to present and she's going to talk about every city she visited and everything she did, both things I didn't want to hear, whether I liked it or not.
I stepped out of the car as I took my bag and walked into the house and the first voice I heard was none other than Sasha's.
“ You can't believe it, we had a photo session all night and I only slept for an hour and yet I still looked beautiful, you see my beauty is natural and nothing can take it away," she said as she laughed, I wonder who she was disturbing,
I walked further into the house to see that she was leaning on the kitchen counter talking to the maids.
“ Sasha," I called to get her attention as she turned to me and her eyes lit up.
“ Ariana!" She called like a child before running to me and then she hugged me shaking me from side to side and I couldn't help but laugh,
“ Sasha easy you're going to make my brain fall out," I said before she pulled away to look at me,
“ I'm still wondering why you're not modeling, take a look at you," she said and I couldn't help but smile,
Yeah, leave Sasha to flatter the life out of you.
“ How was your flight?" I asked although I didn't want to, not because I didn't care but because she was going to give me an entire tale.
“ It was terrible, don't worry I'll tell you everything that happened," she said, and there goes my sleep, just like that. She suddenly started looking behind me like she was expecting someone.
“ Where's that handsome man you sent to come pick me up, what's his name again?" She asked as she made a thinking gesture,
“ Hardin," I said,
“ Yeah, Hardin, where's he?" She asked,
“ He's my assistant and he doesn't live here," I said as she opened her mouth blinking as she looked at me,
“ You say what? You have to see that piece of art everyday?!" She asked like she couldn't believe her ears,
“ Damn, I could definitely do that man, he's so fine, thick arms, beautiful eyes, his voice, you know my world stop when he spoke, how do you cope with hearing him speak everyday and fuck, he's tall and big, I wonder what else is big," she said as she wiggled her brows,
“ Can you stop talking about my assistant like that and besides I just got back from work I need to shower," I said as I turned and started walking to my room,
“ Why are you following me Sasha?” I asked as I stopped and turned to her,
" What? We have some catching up to do,” she said as she walked past me going to my room.
" I want to shower,” I said and she turned to me and looked me up and down,
" So? You're a girl and I'm a girl, do you want me to sing a song with it?” She asked and I just sighed as I walked to my room door and opened it as she walked in first and then I walked in after her closing the door behind me.
“ How have you really been coping?" She suddenly asked every trace of a joke gone from her voice,
“ What are you talking about?" I asked,
“ Come on friend, I'm not living in a rock, I know that your grandpa has been missing since his birthday and I know he still hasn't been found," she said as she held my hand and walked me to my bed and we both sat down.
“ By the way congratulations on being the new CEO of the Miller's Cooperation," she said as she hugged me, patting my back.
“ Thank you," I said with a small smile,
" So tell me, how are things going? I know a lot of fuckers don't like the idea of a pretty ass woman sitting on the ruling chair, this is why I told you to be a model, you wouldn't have to face all this issues,” she said seriously,
" Modeling is not my thing Sasha and I've been doing very well as the CEO, managing things that are happening at home and work, although it's been hectic but I've been doing just fine," I said and she nodded,
“ Don't worry, your grandfather would be found very soon,” she said as she squeezed my hand,
" Okay now, go take a shower, you stink,” she said as she pushed away from me and I couldn't help but laugh,
We both knew that that was a lie.
I stood up as I made my way to my bathroom. I took off my clothes as I got under the shower and then when I was done I walked out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around my body and one of my head as I walked out.
“ If you're trying to seduce me it's not gonna work, I'm for the guys," Sasha said as she saw me, I just rolled my eyes as I walked to my closet.
I got dressed in sweats as I walked out of my closet,
“ Have you had something to eat?" I asked Sasha,
“ Yeah, I had salad," she said,
Models.
" Let's go, I have to get something to eat,” I said but she shook her head,
" Go, I have something doing,” she said as she busied herself with her phone,
" Oh, okay,” I said before I walked out of the room and headed to the kitchen.
The maids served me and I ate alone and I couldn't say I didn't like it.
By the time I was done with eating and returned to my room, Sasha was already asleep in my bed.
Just great.
I climbed on the other side of the bed as I drew the blanket up her body before covering myself too but before I could close my eyes, my phone started ringing.
Can I ever get rest?
I picked up the call and when I saw who the caller was I felt my heart drop.
