Chapter 116- The Unexpected
On hearing the commotion Hardin rushed to the dining room.
“ What's wrong?" He asked as he quickly carried Sasha from the chair she was sitting on and rushed her to the sitting room couch.
He started hitting her back and then she threw up the little food she just ate before she breathed in relief he then laid her down on the couch putting pillows to make her comfortable.
“ Are you okay?” He asked her as she had her eyes half opened, half closed, her skin was still red.
“ I'm allergic to almond," she whispered,
“ Do you have anything you take in case of something like this?" I asked as I moved away for the maid to clean up the mess she made.
“ I'm sorry," she whispered to the maid,
“. It's okay ma'am," the maid said,
“ I have something in my bag it's on the bed in my room," she said,
“ Alright, I'll get it," I said as I quickly rushed to her room to get it.
I opened her room door and walked to the bed where there was a black bag. I opened a the bag and saw a small white container with tablets.
I took it out and walked out the door before closing it.
I stopped when I reached the sitting room at the sight in front of me.
Hardin has a small towel in his hand as he wiped Sasha's lips and they both were whispering to each other, I couldn't hear what they were saying.
“ I found it," I said to announce my presence as I walked to her and then I asked for a glass of water to be brought for her.
“ How many?" I asked,
“ Just one," she said,
“ Okay," I said as I took out one on the cover and handed it to her,
“ Thank you" she said as she took the tablet and then the water as she swallowed it in one gulp before handing it back to me.
“ How do you feel?" Hardin asked her as he removed the hair from her face and put it behind her ear.
“ Thank you Hardin, you're so sweet," she said with a smile,
“ I think you should get some rest, I'll call the doctor to come check you,” I said,
" Come on silly I'm not dying, it's normal I'll get better when I sleep and wake up,” she said,
“ Aside almond is there anything else you're allergic to so I can tell the maids to avoid putting it in your food?" I asked but she shook her head,
“ Just almond," she said,
" I'll go to my room now,” she said as she was about to stand up but Hardin carried her in his arms without warning.
“ Hardin!" she said in surprise as she chuckled before wrapping her arms around his neck,
What the fuck is wrong with me? He's helping her because she's sick and nothing more and even if there was how is that any of my concern.
“ Where's your room?" He asked and she pointed the way for her and he started carrying her to her room.
I just followed behind them like a stupid fool.
I helped him open the room door as he walked in with her and then he laid her on the bed then he covered her with the blanket.
“ Thank you Hardin, Ariana, thank you so much," she said and I gave a her a smile,
" You guys can go now, I'll manage,” she said,
" Alright, please if you need anything tell the maids, I'll assign a maid specially for your food so this doesn't happen again,” I said,
" You don't need to do that, just tell them I don't like almond,” she said but I shook my head,
" Not an option, I want someone to hold responsible if something like this ever happened which I'll make sure it doesn't,” I said,
" Okay, whatever you say mummy,” she said and I chuckled,
" Run along now, stop worrying about me,” she said as I hugged her and she fist pumped Hardin before we walked out of her room.
“ She scared me,” I said, as Hardin and I walked out of the house,
" She's okay now,” he said and I nodded as he opened the car door and I got in then he got in after me.
“ Did you talk to the model?" I asked,
“ Yes, we would be meeting in twenty," he said as I nodded and relaxed myself as the driver started the car drove off.
We stopped in front of a coffee shop as Hardin got out of the car and before he could turn to my door I already opened it and stepped down.
We walked into the coffee shop and I immediately spotted the model sitting on the spot close to the window as Hardin and I walked to her.
“ Hardin!" she said with a smile as soon as she locked eyes with Hardin as she stood up looking at him like he was her sun and I looked between them in confusion.
Hardin ignored her as he pulled a chair for me and I noticed her smile drop. He pulled his chair and sat down and I immediately felt surrounded by tension.
“ Thank you for agreeing to see me, I'm Ariana Miller by the,”
“ I'm Claudia, why did you want to see me?" she asked,
“ Last night there was a little misunderstanding and a wrong necklace was worn on your neck…”
" The green necklace,” she said,
" Yeah , that one,” I said and she nodded,
" So what's with it?” she asked,
" So I was told someone brought it to you, I'd like to know what the person said when they brought it, was it a man and did you see the person's face?” I asked,
" I already told Hardin what I know, I was looking in the mirror I didn't see who brought it but I think from my side eye it was a man, I didn't hear what they said because I wasn't paying attention, I didn't know it was going to turn out to be something like this,” she said,
" Oh,” I mumbled with a sigh,
" Okay, thanks, are you sure there's nothing you missed?” I asked,
" I wasn't paying attention so I don't think I missed anything but you should properly talk to the stylist…oh no, wait, he left for Paris this morning he has work there,” she said,
“Well, uhm,..."
“ Claudia," she said,
“ Thank you for your time Claudia and sorry for any inconvenience, we'll leave now," I said as Hardin stood up looking eager to leave.
“ It's okay," she said as I stood up,
“ Well, enjoy the rest of the day," I said as we were about to leave but she suddenly stopped us.
“ Wait, I think…I think…”
