Chapter 94- The Deal
“ Say good morning princess and I'll tell you," he said and I had to close my eyes just to fight for control so I wouldn't end up lashing on him. I needed his help, I had to remind myself.
“ Good morning princess,” I said as I felt my insides squeeze in anger. He likes doing annoying things like this, way too much.
" See, that wasn't so hard,” he said with a laugh as I brought up my hand to check my wristwatch.
“ So what is the news?" I asked him,
“ We found out where they're keeping the old man,”
" You found him, where is he? Where are they keeping him? Tell me?” I asked but he just chuckled,
" Don't forget there's a catch,” he said and I groaned, this was taking too long. I had to go inside before my boss starts wondering what I'm doing.
" Tell me what you want,” I said,
" I'm still thinking about it,” he said, I swear, I'll kill this man, but right now the problem is that I couldn't kill him even if he was here because the whole underworld would wake up, well, for anyone who eventually tries to kill him.
“ Okay, you know where he is, help us get him," I said,
“ Later tonight boy, we're gonna kill some motherfuckers,” he said,
" Why not during the day, why wait till later tonight?” I asked,
" Don't push it boy, I sleep during the day, work at night, adios fella,” he said before he hung up,
“Shit!" I cursed before I realized where I was and quickly calmed myself before I walked into the company.
My boss was nowhere in sight, not like she looked like someone who was going to stand here waiting for her assistant, I took a lot of time.
I got into the elevator as I pressed the button for our floor and then I leaned on the wall patiently waiting for the elevator to reach.
When I finally reached our floor and the elevator opened, I quickly rushed towards my office as I had my eyes on my wristwatch. I took about twenty minutes talking to that man.
When I raised my eyes, I almost jumped out of my skin in shock.
“ Uhm, Miss Miller, what are you doing here?" I asked as I tried to calm the beating of my heart.
“ You do realize we have a lot of things to take care of right?" she asked,
“ Yes, I know that, Miss Miller, I just had to take a very important call,” I said,
“ If it's important it should be work related or about my family so tell me what it is?" She asked,
“ It's personal," I said. I couldn't tell her about Scar, I might get into trouble.
“ Now is not time to be focused on your exes and girlfriends, we have our hands full," she said,
" Yes ma'am,”
" Good, did you do what I asked you to?” She asked,
" Yes, I already have men following Mr Garry Miller, warned them to never let him see them,” I said as she nodded before standing up from my office chair and adjusting her jacket.
" I'll be in my office,” she said before walking out of my office,
“Pheww, that was intense,” I said to no one in particular,
Does this mean that if Scar and his men can go on a rescue mission tonight by tomorrow Mr Miller will be safe? I just hope that's the case and he wasn't fooling around with me.

ARIANA'S POV
I couldn't help but still feel anger run through me at the fact that after the promise my Mom made to me, as early as it was I found her still smoking, when did she develop the habit? She has never taken up a cigarette for any reason and then suddenly she's smoking.
I'm sure that after the last time I caught her smoking she wakes up early to smoke, which is bad for her health. Aside from hiding whatever it is Uncle Garry is doing to her she's still trying to kill herself.
After the first time I caught her smoking I wanted to do something but I changed my mind because I saw it as an invasion of privacy. Installing a camera in her room isn't something she's going to like and at the same time it seems like the best thing now.
With that in mind, I tried to clear my head because I almost took out my anger on Hardin.
I soon started my work as a knock came on the door.
“ Come in Hardin," the door opened and he walked in holding a small tray with a cup of coffee,
“ I can see you're feeling better and didn't immediately kick me out of your office," he said and I laughed as he dropped the coffee on my table,
“ I'm not always like that Hardin," I said and he looked at me like he was asking if I was sure of what I was saying.
“ Well, I'm not always like that," I defended and it suddenly became quiet and I don't know how it happened but I found myself staring into his enchanting blue eyes, I've never really realized how beautiful they were.
I quickly cautioned myself as I blinked, taking my eyes off his eyes. What is wrong with me? He's just a man, like any other man.
I cleared my throat as I turned my eyes to the computer screen.
“ Uhm, I…sorry your schedule,” he said,
“ Clear everything on my schedule today, anything that involves me leaving this office, I've got a lot of things on my mind and I can't be in any meetings, so do that for me,” I said,
" Alright, Miss Miller,” he said,
" Is there any other thing you would like for me to do for you?” He asked and I was about to say no but remembered that there's something I've been meaning to ask him, just for my own peace of mind.
“ Miss Miller,"
Fuck it.
“ What did I say the night I called you?"
