Chapter 114- His Crazy Obsession
HARDIN'S POV
“ Don't even think about it," Vera warned as I stood up from my chair and she turned to me with a glare,
“ Vera why are you pretending like you didn't just see what happened now?" I asked as I looked at where Claudia just disappeared with the man who forcefully dragged her out,
“ You're so stupid and blind Hardin, I can't believe you'll fall for that stupid act, she has you just where she wants, are you dumb or something? Can't you see that she just wants your sympathy, she's trying to manipulate you and you're falling for it," she said and I blinked looking at her then I slowly sat down,
“ But what if that's not the case?” I asked,
" No buts Hardin, let's go home,” she said as she stood up and looked at me expectantly,
I stood up with a sigh as we both walked out of the cafe,
As we walked out I noticed two people talking at a distance and from a closer look the woman looked like Claudia but that wasn't what caught my attention, it was the car they were standing close to,
It looked familiar like the black truck that followed me earlier today,
“ Let's mind our business Hardin," Vera said as she practically started pushing me towards our car,
I let her drive this time, choosing not to argue.
The drive back home was quiet as Vera kept stealing glances at me.
“ If you keep looking at me like that you might get us into an accident,” I said,
" I'm really mad at you right now Hardin, you're letting that cockroach of a woman get to you and it's annoying,” she said and I chuckled,
" That's not the problem right now, what's really making me upset is that I feel like I'll be seeing her more often than I'd like," I said as I rubbed my forehead,
" Then let's kick her out,” she said sounding so serious I couldn't help but laugh,
“ Wipe those murderous thoughts from your head, you're not killing anyone," I said and she chuckled,
" Fine,” she said and I found myself laughing and soon enough she joined, like she could kill even a fly.

“ Good night Hardin, don't even bother about thinking of that woman, just go to sleep," she said and I chuckled,
" Good night Vee,” I said before I kissed her head and then I walked to my room,
I opened my room door and closed it then leaned on the door as I closed my eyes with a sigh.
I'm going to keep asking why me and I wouldn't get a single answer, this was meant to happen and I didn't have a choice but to face it.
I walked to my bathroom to have a much needed shower as I took off my clothes and walked under the shower. I didn't move, I just leaned my head on the wall as the water rained down my body.
The image of that man holding her like that found it way back into my head and without meaning to I found myself clenching my jaw in anger.
I'm not going to do this to myself, I have to remind myself that Claudia means nothing to me anymore, we weren't children anymore and I had to grow up.
It's been so many years and yet I feel like a fool, a total fool, I had a feeling that if Vera wasn't with me I would have done something to that man.
Now I get why she went with me.
I need to stop this crazy obsession I have with Claudia before it ruins me.

ARIANA'S POV
I couldn't sleep, it's just funny how someone was toying with me and they felt like I couldn't do anything about it, it was just crazy.
I couldn't accuse uncle Garry because I didn't have evidence. What proof do I have if I say he was responsible for my dad's death or had a hand in grandpa's kidnapping? What do I have to show?
I just kept glancing up at the ceiling as so many thoughts filled my head, my Mom and Aunt were with my grandpa and didn't let me stay.
They said I've been stressing too much and I had to rest so they just took the food I brought and then they kicked me out.
I got up from bed to take my water and then I noticed that my water bottle was empty, I forgot to fill it.
I took the bottle as I walked out of my bedroom heading to the kitchen to get water.
I turned on the tap as I washed the bottle and then I opened the fridge and brought out water to refill my bottle.
I jumped when I heard a sound like something falling and then I turned but didn't see anything.
Who could be awake by this time?
After filling my bottle I was about to walk back to my room when I heard the sound again.
The entire house was quiet except for that one sound, an indication that everyone was asleep then who could possibly be busy by this time?
I stopped when I heard the sound more pronounced coming from my grandpa's study.
I quickly walked to his study as I stayed outside to listen to what was happening inside and then without a second thought I pushed the door open.
“ Who are you?"
