Chapter 97- Deal With The Beast
"What's going on?" I asked as I looked at the people who were hitting on my car like zombies.
“ You have a queen bee in your car," Sasha said and I turned to her in confusion,
“ A what?” I asked her,
" I thought I was hiding, I didn't expect that my fans here would be this crazy,” she said as she looked through the closed window,
" I have to say hi to them or I'm going to be labeled as rude,” she said as she pressed the button and the window slowly came down,
“ We love you Sasha! Please can I get an autograph?” one of them asked, she collected a notebook and quickly drew her autograph before passing it back to the owner and then she waved,
“ I love you guys so much," she said throwing them kisses before winding up,
“ Let's go,” she said as the green light came on and I started the car alerting the people leaning on it to pull away so I could leave but still some of them weren't ready to move.
" You really are famous,” I said as I started moving the car, starting off slow until I knew I wasn't going to kill anyone, I sped off.
Remind me not to drive this woman anywhere, I just hope there was no scratch on my car.
“ How did they even know you were inside my car?" I asked,
“ Someone must have spotted me entering the car in the airport…see what I'm saying, it's all over the Internet,” she said but I didn't bother taking my eyes off the road.
I drove into the Miller's mansion as I stopped in front of the house.
“ I miss this place," she said as she stepped out of the car,
“ I can't believe I'm really here, hey handsome man, when you have time you should really take me around town, It feels like I've forgotten the feeling of being in Las Vegas," she said as she flipped her hair.
“ I'll have to return back to the office Miss Logan," I said as the security men came to help her bring down her bags.
“ Oh, why so soon?" Because I was working when you decided to land in this goddamn country without prior notice. I thought to myself but didn't say it out loud.
“ I have things to take care of," I simply said,
“ Okay, bye handsome man thank you for picking me up," she said with a sweet smile,
“ My pleasure," I said before entering the car.
Without wasting time I started the car and the model waved at me as I drove out of the mansion.
I found myself laughing in the elevator on my way back to my office. I couldn't help but think of all the things that happened.
She was so funny and then all of a sudden my smile disappeared when my phone rang and then I saw that it was a call from Scar.
“ Hope you didn't forget we still had a deal to make?" He asked,
" No, Scar,” I said,
" I know what I want now," he said and without meaning to my heart beat increased.
“ Calm down boy, I'm not going to ask you for your kidneys," he said,
" I'm calm,” I said as I waited expectantly,
" Arrange me a meeting with Miss Ariana Stone Miller,” that was the same as asking for both kidneys,
" What?!” I asked in shock as I walked out of the elevator heading to my office,
“ Why would you want a meeting with my boss?" I asked him in total confusion, I was confused.
“ Are you going to start asking me questions or you're going to start thinking of a way to do what I want? You can tell me now, all I have to do is tell my boys to take the night off having fun instead of going on a rescue mission for a certain Miller," he said,
He knew I wouldn't be able to say no, he knew what he was doing, I knew he wasn't going to make this easy on me, he never makes anything easy on anyone.
“ Hurry up boy I've got things to do," he said,
" Okay, okay, fine I'll do what you want,” I said and he didn't even wait a second, he ended the call.
I stopped and instead of entering my office I turned to my boss's office. I stopped in front of her door as I took deep breaths before I knocked.
“ Oh, you're back Hardin, and in one piece," my boss said and I couldn't help but laugh,
“ Yeah, nobody told me she was that famous, I had people surrounding my car at the traffic light,"
“ Really?" She asked and I nodded,
“ Yeah, is there anything you want me to do for you before I go back to work?" I asked and she looked around her table before turning to me with a shake of her head,
“ Nothing Hardin but I wanna thank you for picking Sasha up, what hotel did you drop her?" She asked,
“ Uhm, I didn't drop her at a hotel," I said as she looked at me with a raised brow,
“ Then where did you drop her?" She asked,
" She asked me to drop her off at the Miller's mansion,”
" What?!” She asked in shock before shaking her head and putting it in her hands,
" Well, what can I do? I can't throw her out, she has money for a hotel. What the hell does she want in my house?” she asked nobody in particular.
“ Thank you Hardin, you can go,” she said and I nodded before walking out of her office,
I settled down on my chair as I started thinking of all the possible reasons Scar would want to meet with my boss, whatever reason it is I know it's not a good one.
Scar was a dangerous man, I only asked for his help because I didn't have a choice, he was the king of this city and knew everything going on.
But now I feel like I'm beginning to regret my decision.
I've made a deal with a beast now I have to face the consequences.
