Chapter 10 Queenie Was Stunned

Queenie's face turned red. She drank the wine shyly and pushed Benoit to the bedside.
She wanted to refuse him before.
The experience Benoit gave her last night was uncomfortable, and she even felt scared. When she bathed, she picked out loose and conservative cotton pajamas.
But she couldn't bear to refuse him because of these surprises and touches Benoit gave her tonight.
At this moment, Queenie lay nervously on the bed, feeling extremely stupid in her cartoon-printed pajamas.
She wondered how a mature man of Benoit's age could bear to sleep with her.
The mattress suddenly sank. Queenie sensed something was wrong and looked at Benoit.
"Your legs."
Benoit was speechless.
He made a mistake.
He was so excited that he went to bed by himself!
After Queenie's words, Benoit pretended to struggle to support the mattress with his hands and explained.
"I cannot feel my calves. With my arms supporting me, I can go to bed, get out of bed and sit in the wheelchair. I can take care of myself."
When Queenie heard these words, she was a little embarrassed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. I was too shocked just now."
"It's okay. You should know everything about my physical condition. It's my fault. I didn't communicate with you."
Queenie didn't expect Benoit to say that. Her heart warmed up, and a dark shadow cast over her eyes.
Benoit knelt on her waist, put her hands aside, and continued.
"I cannot feel my calves. But everything is fine up the knee. You knew that last night."
Queenie bit her lip. Her little face turned red instantly.
Benoit smiled lowly, leaned down, and kissed her.
It was a gentle and lingering kiss.
He did it like eating a favorite snack when he was young. He was reluctant to eat it in one bite and tasted it slowly.
Queenie's body became a little limp from this kiss. After drinking, her whole body was immersed in such tenderness. She made a shy sound.
She felt ashamed, quickly put her hand against Benoit's chest, turned her face away, and said, "Go and turn off the light."
"Can we keep the lights off?" Benoit seemed to communicate with her earnestly. The light was not good last night, and he still felt slightly regretful.
"I want to see you."
"No." Queenie shook her head. She was so ashamed that she wanted to bury her face in the sheets.
Benoit felt slightly regretful but still turned off the bedside lamp.
He was not in a hurry. There would be opportunities.
After turning off the light, Benoit kissed Queenie's lips again and whispered, "Honey, close your eyes."
There were also some electronic candles on the ground.
There was still some faint light.
He didn't want his wife to notice the difference.
Queenie obediently closed her eyes.
She felt this time, Benoit seemed to have learned the essentials. He was no longer brutal but became gentle and hot.
When Queenie opened her eyes the next day, she met Benoit's obsessive gaze.
Benoit got up earlier than her, sat in the wheelchair before the bed, and stared at her for an unknown time.
Queenie looked away, a little embarrassed. Suddenly she thought of something and was in a panic.
She grabbed her phone and looked at the time. "Oh no, it is too late! The alarm clock didn't ring!"
"Don't worry. The breakfast is ready. Manley is waiting for you downstairs in the car, and you won't be late. I turned off the alarm clock. I want you to sleep more."
Queenie felt moved and asked in surprise, "You prepared the breakfast?"
"No." Benoit laughed. "Every morning, the maid in Clancy Villa will come to prepare breakfast and return to the Clancy Villa. Queenie, if you like it, I can learn to make it for you."
"No, no." Queenie hurriedly got up to wash up.
Benoit's legs were inconvenient. How could she ask him to cook?
She had set the alarm clock an hour earlier to make breakfast for him. But she didn't expect him to wake up and turn off the alarm clock earlier than her.
After washing up, Queenie pushed Benoit to the dining table. They sat there have breakfast together.
Queenie noticed the heart-shaped diamond ring on her right finger when picking up the spoon.
The ring was put on by Benoit last night.
In the end, she had no strength at all.
When Benoit put it on, she was tired. But she remembered he vigorously kissed her hand, kissed the diamond ring, and said sweet words.
Thinking of that scene, Queenie turned red again instantly.
Sensing Queenie's strangeness, Benoit asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing. This ring is too expensive. It might not be suitable to wear it to school. I want to keep it at home."
She was afraid Benoit would have wild thoughts. Hence, Queenie took the initiative to explain. She had always been low-key and didn't like publicity to attract attention.
"This diamond is worthless," Benoit replied lightly. After a pause, he looked at Queenie sincerely. "I send it to you. Wives always have it. Hence, I give it to you as much as I can. I'll buy you one without a diamond if you think it's unsuitable."
Queenie felt moved and quickly shook her head. "No need. I can wear this ring. I originally thought this ring should be costly, and I didn't want to wear it for class for fear of having a bad influence on the students. Maybe I'm overthinking. I'll wear it."
"Great." The corners of Benoit's mouth curled up secretly.
The ring was his mark to show he was her husband!
How could she take it off?
He wished he could tell the whole world that Queenie was his legal wife!
He wanted to tell those men who covet her to get rid of their thoughts!
After they finished their breakfast, Benoit used the excuse to go to the company and sent Queenie to school to work.
On the way, Queenie asked Manley to stop the car. She went to the supermarket to buy a few boxes of candies and rushed into the car to explain to Benoit.
"I want to bring some candies to my colleagues to congratulate my wedding."
When she decided to wear the ring to school, she made a decision.
Since she married and had ultimately let go of the past. She should not hide her marriage news.
She was Benoit's wife.
She must recognize this reality to live a good life!
Seeing she was willing to disclose their relationship, Benoit smiled happily.
When she arrived at the school office, her colleagues surrounded her enthusiastically.
"Queenie, congratulations!"
"Congratulations!"
Her colleagues' congratulations made Queenie a little confused.
"You all know I got married?"
These colleagues laughed and said, "It's announced online!"
"What? Online?" Queenie was even more confused. "How could the news of my marriage be announced online?"
As she said, she opened the gift bag in her hand, took out the chocolate, smiled embarrassedly, and said, "I just got married yesterday. Today, I invite all of you to wedding candies."
These colleagues were all stunned.
Did they talk about the same thing?
At this time, Macy Willot, who was usually close to Queenie, rushed over and screamed.
"Queenie, are you married? Did you get the marriage license yesterday?"
Before Queenie could answer, Macy stared brightly at the pink heart-shaped diamond ring on Queenie's hand again.
"Wow, this diamond ring is too beautiful! I never thought Pollard would give you such a heart-shaped pink diamond!"
Hearing these words, Queenie was a little embarrassed.
