Chapter 50: She didn't want to cause trouble, but that didn't mean she was afraid of trouble!

Queenie could keenly feel the change in Benoit, and she was too scared to move, muttering softly, "Of course, relationships can't be like this.”

In the next scene, Benoit was feeling very uncomfortable and let out a muffled groan, saying, ”Being in a relationship is so boring!”'

Queenie remained silent. After a while, Benoit tried to defend himself again, saying, “But we are husband and wife!”

Queenie turned her head slightly and looked at him, saying, “But you just said we have to start from scratch, right? That means starting from zero. Right now, we're still in the getting-to-know-each-other stage. Benoit, asking a girl to spend the night with you right after meeting is being a scumbag.”

Benoit let out another sound of discontent, saying, “Then let's start dating from tomorrow. Tonight, doesn't count. And, Queenie, aren't you worried that I might faint again tonight? Someone needs to take care of me.”

Queenie thought his point made sense and agreed. After a short silence, she boldly suggested, ”Alright, let's start sleeping in separate rooms from tomorrow. You can sleep in the guest room. That way, you can also listen to dean Martinez and take good care of your body.”

” Sleeping in separate rooms?” Benoit's voice became louder. “Queenie, my body is fine! I'm perfectly fine! Don't listen to that old man's nonsense. Sleeping in separate rooms means you want to kill me.”

” But there's no meaning in us dating again if we still sleep together,” Queenie argued.

Benoit remained silent for a while, feeling like he had taken several steps back. “Then, Queenie, can I apply a few times a week?”

A few times a week?

Queenie's face turned as red as a cooked crayfish.
Who asks such direct questions?

From Benoit's perspective, he could only see a pair of blush-red ears, framed by short fine hairs, making her look incredibly cute. Unable to resist, he gently nibbled on Queenie's warm earlobe. Queenie reacted strongly, shivering involuntarily.

Benoit seemed satisfied with her reaction and chuckled softly, “Queenie, you still haven't told me how many times you want to return to your room each week.”

” Ah? You were referring to that?” Queenie blurted out without thinking. After saying it out loud, she wished she could bite off her own tongue.

Benoit paused for a moment, then burst into laughter, “What did you think, Queenie? If you need it, a few times a week, I can accommodate.” Benoit's hearty laughter echoed in her ears, and Queenie felt waves of heat washing over her face.

She covered her ears and said, somewhat angrily, 'Stop talking! Since we're dating, I haven't agreed to this. You...you can't come into my room.”

Benoit thought his little wife was exceptionally cute. With flushed cheeks and a coquettish look, she made him want to devour her in one gulp. He seemed to have discovered a new source of amusement, a fresh and lively Queenie, so he held her tightly and planted a kiss on the back of her head, saying earnestly, “Queenie, as your husband, I will respect your wishes."

"Starting from tomorrow, I will definitely pursue you earnestly," Benoit said. Queenie's heart skipped a beat. He added, "I will strive to come home from work every day, as soon as possible."

So many things had happened throughout the day that when Queenie finally relaxed, she fell asleep quickly. Once her breathing became steady, Benoit quietly took out his phone and sent a message to Manley.

He wrote, ‘Puncture all four wheels of Joseph Martinez's car.’ Pausing for a moment, he felt unsatisfied and added, ‘Puncture the wheels of every car he has in his garages at his house, as well." Manley replied with silence.

The next day, Queenie quickly ate breakfast in the hospital ward and hurried off to school. She was wearing the light purple woolen coat that Benoit had just given her, paired with a white scarf. She looked graceful and youthful.

As soon as she entered the teaching building, she froze. May Wilson was wearing the same coat and was being praised by a group of teachers.
"Oh, Ms. Wilson, this coat really suits your personality!"
"The fabric of this coat is really good, it must be expensive."
"This color complements your skin tone so well."

Queenie listened to these praises and instinctively tried to discreetly leave, not wanting everyone to notice that she was wearing the same outfit as May. But just her luck, as soon as she turned around, Sarah's sister called out to her.

"Oh, Ms. Lorente, what a coincidence! You and Ms. Wilson are wearing the same outfit today," Sarah's sister said. Queenie's body tensed slightly, and she could naturally sense that this remark was purposely provoking her. She didn't want to cause trouble and usually kept a low profile, avoiding small troubles where she could. But that didn't mean she was afraid of a confrontation.

"Yes, it is quite a coincidence," Queenie replied with a warm smile, then turned and confidently walked towards Ella.

"Ella, your observation skills are truly remarkable. You hardly seem like someone who repeats and miscalculates grades." Sarah's sister's face suddenly darkened.

The last time she miscalculated the entire English class's total score and mistakenly thought she had surpassed Queenie's class, she bragged about it in the office. However, shortly after, the administration notified her that she had made a counting error and her total score was in fact lower than Queenie’s class. This uncomfortable incident was brought up again, causing Sarah's sister to feel a bit embarrassed.

But she wasn't one to back down easily too. She quickly continued to provoke, "So, everyone, let's see who looks better in this outfit, Ms. Wilson or Queenie?"

With that statement, Queenie was metaphorically put on the spot. Several teachers wore awkward expressions, unsure of how to respond.

May and Queenie, regardless of their age difference, have a noticeable difference in their appearance. When Queenie first entered the school, she was regarded as a rare beauty among the teachers in the past decade. On the other hand, May not only had ordinary looks but also had a slightly thick waist. Anyone with discerning eyes can tell who looks better when they wear the same clothes. However, considering May's identity, no one wants to take the risk of speaking the truth.

As the teachers watched each other in silence, Queenie smiled warmly at Sarah’s sister and said, "Since Ella raised the question, why don't we let her answer it for all of us?" The others quickly agreed, chiming in with statements like, "Yes!" and "Exactly, Ella, you speak."

In that moment, May also curiously looked at Ella, causing her scalp to tighten. Ella hadn't expected Queenie to pass the ball back to her, so she awkwardly responded, "Of course, both have their own merits. However, this outfit gives off an air of elegance, which only those with some age can carry off."

Her implication was that Ms. Wilson stood out more. Queenie smiled and said, "I don't agree with that, though."

Ella’s eyes widened in disbelief, thinking that Queenie must be out of her mind. Refuting her doesn't mean that May looks bad in this outfit or that Queenie looks better.

Facing the shocked gazes of the others, Queenie calmly explained, "As Ella said, clothes can convey an aura when worn by someone. But personally, I don't think Ella meant to say that Ms. Wilson exudes this aura because she's older. I believe it's Ms. Wilson's own experiences and refinement that allow her to wear it with such elegance."

After her voice fell, Ella realized something was wrong and hurriedly explained, "Ms. Wilson, I... I didn't mean to say you're older than Queenie..."

Finishing her sentence, Ella angrily slapped herself. May gave her a side glance but didn't say anything further. The others chuckled quietly and were about to disperse when two parents from a certain class approached with an odd tone.

"It's really rare to see a teacher wearing V's latest season coat in school."

These two parents were the ones who had asked May several times to have Queenie transferred back, but were rejected each time. Now, their gazes were unkindly focused on May's clothes.

Ella immediately defended May, saying, "What's so rare about that? Are teachers not allowed to wear V's coats?"

One of the parents walked towards Ella, smirking, "Sure, they can. But I'm just curious, how much is a teacher's monthly salary that they can afford a $20,000 dollar coat?"

With that statement, everyone was shocked, their eyes almost popping out. A coat worth $20,000? Even Queenie herself was taken aback.

The prestigious mother smiled and looked back and forth between Queenie and May, continuing in a sarcastic tone.

"I heard that Ms. Lorente married a decent husband and wears a pink heart-shaped diamond ring worth millions. Of course, she can afford this $20,000-dollar coat."

As the voice fell, Queenie was stunned, staring blankly at the ring on her hand.

A pink heart worth million?
