Chapter 15 His Principle
"Okay. I won't be angry this time. They asked for it themselves, but don't do it again."
How could Queenie be angry?
She even thought that the way Benoit hit Gerald's head against the wall just now was so handsome!
But she couldn't say it out, and she still needed to tell Benoit not to fight someone casually!
When Benoit heard her words, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and he just said, "Okay."
Hearing the flirting between the two, Gerald was so angry.
"No. Be careful with your hands! What are you two doing at this time? Let me go quickly. If I get hurt, you will all have to go to jail."
Queenie was taken aback when she heard "go to jail," and then quickly calmed down and said, "Then tell those bodyguards to leave. Let us go, and he will let you go."
Right now, she had to find a way to leave here safely instead of letting go hastily after hearing what this person said.
She didn't forget what this shameless person wanted to do to her because he had more people.
Gerald kept yelling at Jeremy, "Hurry up. Let your people go!"
Jeremy was a little dazed by the sudden turn of events and didn't react for a while.
The moment Gerald's head hit the wall just now, a voice came out of his mind. "It's over. It's over now."
After he realized what had happened, he dismissed the three bodyguards.
Seeing that the bodyguard opened the door, Queenie persuaded Benoit in a warm voice. "Honey, you let him go first. Let's leave here, and then we can think of other ways to deal with it later."
"No." Benoit lightly refused. "He has to apologize to you first."
As he said that, the shards of glass in Benoit's hands pushed Gerald's neck, and Gerald was so frightened that he apologized repeatedly.
"No! I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I was wrong. I apologize."
"Say you are a jackass," Benoit added.
Gerald was very angry in his heart but still scolded himself with a stiff face. "I'm a jackass, and I shouldn't have coveted you. Forgive me, and let your husband let me go."
Before Benoit let go, Shipley, who was going to meet Benoit on purpose, took a look inside and screamed in fright.
"Damn! What are you doing?"
Shipley strode into the room.
Jeremy once saw Shipley from a distance at a banquet, knowing he was from the Duke family, one of the four major families in Coast City.
And Gerald also knew Shipley. Now, when they saw him, they both respected him as if they were seeing a god.
"Hello, Mr. Duke." Jeremy greeted him proactively.
"Mr. Duke..." Gerald also greeted Shipley, but his head was still pressed against the wall with a piece of glass on his neck, looking a little embarrassed.
"What are you doing?" Shipley always joked around in private, but he would always look serious in front of outsiders.
Seeing that Shipley also spoke up for them, Jeremy quickly scolded Queenie's disabled husband.
"What are you looking at? Hurry up and let go! Mr. Duke is here. What are you going to do? He is in charge of the Duke family, one of the four major families in Coast City. Do you even know him, bumpkin?"
Shipley widened his eyes in horror when he heard the words. 'Bumpkin?
The dignified Benoit was actually called a bumpkin?
Damn, that was something one could see every day.'
Seeing Shipley's reaction, Jeremy suddenly felt uneasy and asked in a low voice, "Isn't this guy a worthless bumpkin?"
"Worthless?" Shipley swallowed hard, and his eyes widened even more!
He had been Benoit's best friend for many years, and he had never seen someone call Benoit that. This man was really not afraid of death.
But he soon figured it out.
Queenie was here today, so Benoit had to keep his persona.
Normally, these people would never have the chance to speak to him in this way.
Jeremy realized something was strange, looked at Shipley in a daze, and quickly asked, "What? Does Mr. Duke know this person?"
"Yes." Shipley nodded.
Jeremy trembled in fright, and his eyes widened a bit. "When Mr. Duke said, 'What are you doing?', were you talking to him?"
"What are you thinking? What's wrong with you?" Shipley gave him a sharp look. "Why would I speak up for you two worthless ones?"
At this moment, Gerald, who was restrained, was sweating like rain, and his heart was pounding like thunder.
What kind of ruthless character was this man who could make Shipley from the Duke family spoke out?
"Then may I ask the person who is this important figure that made Mr. Duke speak up?" Gerald couldn't help asking tentatively.
Shipley squinted his eyes for a while, remembering Manley's words that Benoit should not be exposed, so he said lightly.
"Well, I met him in business before. He used to have some money, so I treated him as my brother. Now he got into a car accident and lost power. I haven't seen this guy for a long time. So when I recognized him, I walked in excitedly."
Jeremy frowned, feeling that something was wrong.
This story sounded a bit like that guy in the Clancy family.
Before he had time to sort his thoughts, he was interrupted by the voice of Gerald.
"Since you have lost power, let me go quickly! What's wrong with you? Mr. Duke, you know him, so tell him to let me go."
Shipley coughed twice, and winked at Benoit, signaling him to deal with it later.
"Then, dude, just let him go."
Benoit didn't let go, raised an eyebrow slightly, and looked at Shipley with a sharp look. "Dude?"
The voice was as cold as frost, and Shipley almost knelt down in fright.
Shipley was so wronged that he wanted to cry, thinking that he was just helping Benoit keep his persona.
Queenie was worried that something might happen, so she quickly helped to persuade Benoit. "Honey, calm down. If something happens, the loss outweighs the gain. We are on the right side."
"Okay. If my wife says so." Benoit responded gently and threw the glass piece away as soon as he said so.
Gerald, who had just been freed, raised his hand to beat Benoit but was stunned by his horrified gaze, and his hands froze in mid-air.
He didn't notice just now, but why a person in glasses, who was so gentle and sitting in a wheelchair, had such terrifying eyes?
He had been through some serious situations. It was difficult for ordinary people to have such eyes and aura.
Seeing this, Shipley quickly pulled Gerald away and reprimanded him and Jeremy. "My guy has lost power, but he was kind to me in the past. No matter what is going on between you guys, this matter is over. That's it. No one is allowed to trouble him and his wife again. Get out!"
Gerald touched his stiff neck and wanted to say something but was interrupted by Jeremy.
"Gerald, come on. Let's find a private room for dinner. I'll open a few bottles of good wine, so let's leave this person alone. Anyway, we need to respect Mr. Duke."
Then, Jeremy held Gerald's shoulders and led him away from the room.
After the two left, the atmosphere in the room was still a little awkward.
Shipley saw that the waiter had already served the food, so he could save another meal. Then, he started to have their food.
But the atmosphere was ruined by Gerald and Jeremy. During this meal, the three of them ate very quietly.
Seeing Queenie's sad face, Shipley couldn't help comfort her. "Don't worry too much. I know Gerald! He is not the director of any agency, just the director of a little contract bureau."
Benoit didn't answer, but his expression was terrifyingly gloomy.
No matter who this person was, Benoit would not let anyone who dared to touch his people go easily!
Right now, he was thinking about how to revenge on that bastard without letting Queenie know.
It was his principle to never let his grudge stay overnight!
Shipley glanced at Benoit and knew what he was thinking immediately, so he continued to act. "This guy had helped me before. So don't worry. I will help you with this matter. These two people will not harass you in the future."
"No need to trouble Mr. Duke."
Queenie looked at Shipley and rejected him with a straight voice.
