Chapter 111 Queenie's Infertility Confession

A second text message from Pollard followed promptly.

"Queenie, don't worry. After talking to Barbara, I consulted a doctor right away. The doctor said that there is a high possibility for you to conceive naturally."

Staring at the words on the message, Queenie felt a coldness spread inch by inch in her chest.

Her boyfriend of three years!

The man who had risked his life to save her!

How could he say something so selfish and irresponsible at this moment!

In essence, he just wanted to come back, have sex with her, and see if they could conceive. If they could, they would get married; if not, he wouldn’t suffer any losses.

Queenie replied, "Pollard, you idiot, all those years of education were wasted on you!"

After sending the message, she collapsed on the bed and started crying.

If her boyfriend of three years could behave this way, how could she expect anything from a hastily married husband?

Two polite knocks sounded on the door.

"It's me."

Followed by a deep voice from a man.

Queenie wiped away her tears and stood up. "Come in."

Only then did Benoit push the wheelchair in. He looked at her coldly, but his expression changed when his gaze met her bloodshot eyes. However, he continued with a stern face, "I have something to ask you."

Queenie's heart skipped a beat, and a helpless smile appeared on her lips.

Was it finally time?

She took a deep breath and spoke slowly, "Um, I also have something to tell you."

Unable to wait for Queenie to explain, Benoit asked directly, "What would you have done if I hadn't showed up on time?"

His tone was getting increasingly agitated, indicating that he was losing control of his emotions.

Queenie froze, then lowered her head and hesitated to speak.

"You were going to crash into a wall... is that right?" Benoit tightly gripped the wheelchair armrest, his voice almost squeezing through his clenched teeth.

When she saw that scene just as he reached the alley, her heart had almost stopped beating!

At that moment, if it weren't for Manley holding his shoulder, he would have definitely lost control.

"Queenie." Benoit called out.

Queenie was startled.

She had never seen him this angry before.

"Did I not tell you about my attitude towards this matter? Did I not tell you that even if something really happens, I don't care! What I want is you! I want to see you alive! What I want is for you to always protect yourself! If you die, I have nothing left! Who will I spend my life with?"

Queenie stayed frozen in place, feeling as if a giant hammer had hit her head, leaving her completely bewildered.

She never expected that Benoit would be angry because she had thought of doing something suicidal.

Her tightly pursed lips trembled, and tears started to fall.

She was so overwhelmed with sadness that she couldn't breathe.

She really couldn't bear to lose Benoit. She didn't want to let go of such a good husband.

Seeing her tears flowing uncontrollably, Benoit's expression changed, and his hardened heart began to ache.

Damn it.

He cursed himself for being so useless and walked over, pushing the wheelchair.

Even before his wife could comfort him, he lowered his head.

"Alright, stop crying. If you promise not to do this again, I'll forgive you."

His tone instantly softened.

The general who witnessed this scene outside the door let out a muffled snort, as if he also looked down on this master.

Seeing him like this, Queenie felt both amused and sorrowful, causing her tears to flow even harder.

Benoit reached out and gently stroked her head. "It's alright, nothing will happen. I have arranged for people to protect you secretly."

Queenie stood there in a daze. Then she heard Benoit's gentle inquiry.

"Tell me, what happened? Why were you running around in such a panic?" Benoit confessed, "I'm angry that you had an accident and didn't come to me first. I feel like you don't trust me."

Queenie clenched her fists tightly and looked at Benoit tentatively.

"What if this matter is related to you?"

"Then you should have asked me!" Benoit replied decisively.

Queenie swallowed nervously and mustered up the courage to speak.

"I... I went for a gynecological examination, and the doctor said I might not be able to have children."
