Chapter 165 Infidelity

Benoit heard Queenie defending him and couldn't help but smile, feeling extremely good. He sipped his tea and nodded towards David.

"It feels nice to have a wife who cares, indeed."

After that, Benoit glanced at Scarlett again and said, "Queenie was wrong just now, saying that I, as an unmarried man, wouldn't understand. I am married, and our Queenie here is quite interesting."

As soon as the last word fell, Queenie's face turned red and she angrily twisted Benoit's arm.

Benoit smiled nicely and didn't feel any pain at all.

Scarlett was completely stunned!

She pinched her husband hard, "Does it hurt? Are you dreaming? Didn't you hear just now?"

"It hurts, dear." Although he wasn't afraid of pain, Scarlett was delicate, and when she pinched him, it hurt a lot as she targeted the soft flesh in his arms.

"Oh my God, it hurts, so it must be real!" Scarlett exclaimed.

David was also shocked, looking at Benoit, he asked, "What did you just say...?"

Benoit took out a small red book from his suit pocket, opened it, and placed it on the table.

"Queenie and I have a marriage certificate, legally married."

He said it with a hint of pride.

Queenie thought, who carries a marriage certificate when going out?

David and Scarlett couldn't believe it and picked up the book, watching it repeatedly.

Scarlett's mouth was wide open, "Does Pollard know about this? Oh my God! Even TV dramas don't dare to depict this! My niece-in-law becomes my sister-in-law?"

Queenie felt a bit embarrassed and explained helplessly, "Pollard still hasn't come back. I told him we broke up and that I got married, but he doesn't believe me."

Scarlett said, "Why is that silly boy still so naive?"

David's face turned serious and he looked at Benoit, saying, "What's really going on? If you don't tell, be careful, I'll hit you."

After saying that, he hesitated to look at Queenie.

"I'm sorry. I got used to talking like that at the military academy; I didn't mean it literally," David said.

Benoit held Queenie's hand, gave a reassuring squeeze, and then explained what Lilith had done.

As David listened, his expression grew as cold as ice.

Scarlett, once again astonished, covered her mouth and said, "Can't Lilith sink any lower?"

"There's more!" Benoit continued, describing Lilith's recent schemes.

David sneered, "We are truly unfortunate."

After a moment, he asked, "How many people know about this?"

"Dad knows." Benoit answered.

David nodded, "We'll address this after your brother's birthday. This matter is significant. Have you considered how it will affect our mother's heart?"

Benoit touched his nose and replied, "Isn't it just changing a daughter-in-law to a wife?"

Hearing this, David lifted his foot to stomp, but stopped when he saw Queenie.

"Our mother had a heart episode while she was at your sister's place. We need to be cautious when dealing with this. Come back!" David warned Benoit with a sharp glare.

"Okay, I understand," Benoit nodded calmly.

Queenie held onto Benoit's hand and suggested, "Let's talk to Pollard first."

Even though she was the one being manipulated, why did she now feel a twinge of guilt? Benoit understood her thoughts and nodded, "Yes, I'll accompany you."

David also agreed with a nod, "Resolving the issue with Pollard is the right thing to do."

Queenie stood up, pulling Benoit along, but she couldn't bring herself to look at Scarlett as she said, "Sister-in-law, is there an antidote for that drug?"

In a panic, she had forgotten to ask about an antidote for that drug.
