Chapter 73 I Forgot, None of You Have Wives

"Who? Tell me, who reported my company!" Daniel's excitement made him stand up.

That was his entire fortune!

"It was me," Benoit responded with a faint smile.

Daniel's face froze for a moment, and when he regained his senses, he couldn't help but glare at Benoit and said, "So, you're messing with me, aren't you?"

"Neither you nor I have any grievances or animosity towards each other, so why did you report my company? Rumor has it that you are not one to meddle in other people's affairs."

"That's right, I only concern myself with my wife's matters." Benoit casually crossed one leg, enjoying Daniel's frustrated and uncomfortable state. "It seems Lilith really didn't tell you the truth. I took down your company because of her."

"Lilith bullied my wife, and to teach her a lesson, I took down your company, making her wasted investment of ten million dollars." Benoit chuckled.

Daniel was taken aback. "Impossible! My aunt is known for her righteousness. She didn't ask me for that million. You won't trick me!"

Benoit chuckled lightly. "That's because she knows you can't repay the debt with your ability. Instead of that, she decided to have a loyal dog deal with me. After all, it's not easy for Coast City to find someone to deal with me."

Daniel hesitated, his expression uncertain.

Benoit played the recording of his conversation with Lilith directly to Daniel.

After listening, Daniel slammed his fist on the table.

"That cunning woman! So she knew everything all along! She used me, pushed me to offend you, and got me imprisoned!"

Daniel was seething with anger, gritting his teeth, his eyes filled with resentment. "Lilith, you lack righteousness, and I lack justice!"

With that, Daniel gave Benoit the password to a safe and said, "Go and get it. Inside, there are recordings of Lilith investing and receiving dividends in my company."

"Thank you," Benoit smiled faintly.

Manley pushed him away, leaving Daniel alone, consumed by rage.

As soon as they left the detention center, Manley spoke up.

"Mr. Clancy, I'll go get the incriminating evidence now!"

"No rush. I have plenty of small pieces of evidence of Lilith's crimes. But out of respect for my younger brother, I haven't handed them over yet."

Manley was shocked. "Then did you come to the detention center for something else?"

"No," Benoit casually replied, "I was bored staying in the office, so I wanted to find someone to bring some excitement."

Manley: ...

"Don't you think it's amusing to see Daniel go crazy after learning the truth?"

Manley: ...

"The feeling of knowing the truth, being unable to seek revenge, knowing that you were manipulated and having to sit in prison, don't you think it's entertaining?"

Manley: ...

So, it turns out that you're the one with the black heart!

"Take me to Paradise Club."

"Yes," Manley raised an eyebrow, wondering who Benoit wanted to provoke this time.

They arrived at the private floor of Paradise Club.

Simms and Shipley were already inside.

Benoit stood up, walked in, and turned around to instruct Manley, "Go get the notebook that Daniel mentioned."

"Alright," Manley agreed, closing the door to the private room and leaving.

As Benoit sat down, Simms raised an eyebrow with a slight scar and glanced at him.

"I heard that you stood up over in the West District?"

"Hmm." Benoit responded softly, not hiding anything.

Shipley was a bit explosive, "So you're telling me that you haven't exposed the mastermind behind the car accident, yet you're standing up? What if that person finds out and goes into hiding even deeper? Wouldn't it be harder to handle?"

As Benoit thought about the accident that nearly took his life, a shadow crossed his eyes.

That person was hiding very deeply, and no matter how he investigated, he found no clues.

Originally feigning partial disability, he was forced out of the board of directors in order to force the person behind the scenes to show themselves.

"Hey, could it be your sister-in-law? Your sister-in-law has always wanted to drive you out of the board of directors and let your second brother take over."

Before Shipley finished speaking, Simms interrupted him.

"It's unlikely. Lilith isn't the type to make such a careless move."

Benoit nodded, "If it's not Lilith, then I fear it may be the remnants of the Feiying Hall from years ago."

That was also Simms and Shipley's concern.

It was through the joint efforts of their families that the Feiying Hall was eliminated years ago.

If those lawless remnants still existed, it would surely pose a hidden threat.

"You could think of this, so why did you still stand up in the West District?" Shipley angrily patted his leg.

Benoit calmly responded, "There was no other choice given the circumstances at the time. Someone was picking on my wife. If it were you, I doubt you would have considered much either."

With that, Benoit sipped his coffee quietly. "Oh, sorry, I forgot. Neither of you have wives."

Simms was speechless.

Shipley was also speechless.
