Chapter 57: The dignified Mr. Clancy actually becomes "the other woman"
Benoit had set his WhatsApp name as ‘the other woman’!
Queenie couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Benoit, however, spoke seriously, "I've thought it over and I think it's better to keep the two identities separate. Different identities require different conversations. For example..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Queenie's phone received a message notification.
She instinctively glanced at it and saw that Benoit had sent her a message on the original WhatsApp: ‘Queenie, the dress you're wearing today looks beautiful.’
Queenie's cheeks instantly turned red.
She scanned the QR code of "the other woman" and added Benoit's newly registered WhatsApp, feeling a hint of excitement as if she was having an affair.
Using her husband's WhatsApp to flirt with her and the other woman's WhatsApp to pursue her, Queenie had never known that Benoit was so skillful at this!
After adding WhatsApp, Queenie decided to follow suit and replied to Benoit's message: ‘Nice to meet you for the first time. Your actions reveal your unfaithful and despicable nature. You will lose points for this.’
Benoit: ‘The love I have for Queenie is evident to all. Even if I were unfaithful, it would only be with Miss Lorente.’
Queenie's cheeks blushed even more.
With a red face, she couldn't help but ask, "What do we do now? We've already had dinner."
Benoit pondered for a moment and said, "How about we make plans for next time?"
Queenie was taken aback for a moment but then politely nodded, "Alright, let's plan for next time."
As they left the restaurant, Queenie thought Benoit would accompany her, but he only called a car for her.
Queenie thought to herself, Benoit really pretended as if this was a blind date.
However, not long after, he sent her a message on her husband's WhatsApp: ‘I was planning to take you home, but...something has come up with the dog. I need to go pick him up. Wait up for me, and when I get home later tonight, you will get to meet our dog.’
Queenie replied with an ’Okay’ and felt a hidden sense of anticipation.
She had always wanted to have a furry, affectionate dog.
Unexpectedly, this wish came true when she married Benoit.
The car stopped at the entrance of the residential area. Queenie's stomach was a bit full, so she decided to take a walk around the vicinity of the neighborhood, thinking she could enter through the back gate, which would also help with digestion.
However, after walking a short distance on a sloping road, she began to regret it.
The path was quite quiet, and it was dark all the way. She wasn't sure if it was just her nerves, but she felt like she was being followed.
Queenie turned around and indeed saw the figure of not just one man, but three men!
Her heart trembled, but she tried to stay calm.
She had already walked two-thirds of the way, and there was a security guard at the back gate of the residential area. She could call for help. If she turned back now and angered the three men, it would be difficult to reach the intersection. So, she continued walking.
She pretended to be calm and called Benoit.
As soon as the call connected, she deliberately spoke loudly, "Ah? Honey, are you coming to pick me up? No need, I'm just a few steps away from the back gate. What? You're already on your way?"
The three men behind Queenie exchanged glances and silently cursed.
One of the men had borrowed money from a loan shark, and Lilith's nephew, Daniel Taylor, had promised to cancel the debt if he could abduct Queenie.
"Loan shark? Consider it cleared." He made up his mind and said to the two brothers, "Go! Immediately get her into the car! Otherwise, there won't be another chance!"
The three of them rushed forward, and Queenie grabbed her bag and smashed it towards the approaching man's face, shouting, "What are you doing?"
"What are we doing? Someone wants to mess with you, so they hired us brothers to tie you up." The leader of the men touched the face that was hit by the bag, spat out some phlegm, and then rushed forward, grabbing Queenie by her hair.
"You damn woman, you were just playing tricks on us, weren't you? Where is your husband?"
"He's right here. Let go of her."
It was a cold and dark night, with a piercing cold wind, but the three lackeys found that the man's voice behind them was even colder than the wind!
The leader of the lackeys was so scared that he let go of Queenie's hair.
Queenie quickly ran behind Benoit.
The lackeys turned around and looked at the man behind them, unable to help but laugh.
A cripple?
Is this it?
