Chapter 13 I Helped You Canvass

After sending out the WhatsApp message, Benoit felt that it was inappropriate, so he quickly withdrew it and changed it: [Vote for Queenie.]
He was worried that Pollard would not handle the pressure and ran back immediately.
Now the relationship between him and Queenie was still not stable.
This guy couldn't come back yet!
Until they were lost in love, Benoit wouldn't let the little one return and envy their romance.
After posting to Twitter Moments and relatives and friends, Benoit still felt that it was not enough.
He solemnly looked at Manley and said, "Immediately send an urgent memo requesting all employees of the company to vote for my wife. Everyone must vote three times a day! Not a single vote can be missed for me! In short, Queenie must win!"
Manley was rendered speechless.
So, he had been frowning about this?
"And, you need to report to me on Queenie's voting situation every hour. If we are overtaken by the second place, we will have to come up with a new plan."
Manley fell silent again by his words.
"Why don't you go soon?! Do you want to make my wife lose?"
Benoit shot a sharp glance at Manley, who flinched and quickly responded to the task at hand.
After arranging the voting matters, Benoit sent a message to Queenie.
[Darling, I helped you canvass for votes.]
Queenie: [Thank you.]
Soon, Benoit added: [Believe me. I won't let you lose.]
When Queenie received the WhatsApp message, she felt a little hot on her face.
Through the screen, she could feel Benoit's domineering aura.
Queenie didn't reply, and she didn't know how to reply, but she felt a strange feeling in her heart.
It was a feeling of being seen as very important by someone.
This was something she had never experienced.
Soon, with the help of Benoit, Queenie's votes surpassed the second place and opened up a significant lead.
By the time school was over, Queenie had surpassed the second place by 10 thousand votes.
According to Macy, this was a sure win!
Queenie was happy to see that she didn't need to canvass votes by herself. She wanted to call Benoit to thank him and ask him if he would go home for dinner. At the same time, Benoit called in.
"Queenie, can you get off work? I'm here to pick you up."
Queenie was stunned for a moment and quickly responded. "Oh, I'm off work. I'll pack up now and go down."
Walking out of the school gate, Queenie saw Benoit's car parked not far away.
Benoit lowered the car window and waved at her.
Queenie hurriedly trotted over and passed by the two male colleagues beside her without knowing it.
The male colleagues were stunned when they saw Queenie getting into a luxury car.
Another male colleague nudged his elbow and said in a sarcastic tone, "Stop staring. A luxurious car worth hundreds of thousands of dollars is not something we can afford as teachers. Beautiful women always want to marry someone wealthy. Accept this reality!"
Looking at Queenie's back as she walked away, the male colleague sneered. "I thought she was noble, but it turns out she's just like any other woman."
"Exactly!"
After Queenie got into the car, she was embarrassed to say, "Actually, you don't have to come here to pick me up from get off work."
"I have to. This is what a husband should do." Benoit smiled and pushed up his glasses on his nose, showing a gentlemanly demeanor. "How about going to Watkins Mall and having some Northern cuisine?"
"Sure." Queenie wasn't particular about food, so she nodded.
Soon, the car arrived at Watkins Mall.
After getting out of the car, Queenie pushed Benoit into the shopping mall.
At the same time, Jeremy, Queenie's brother, also followed Gerald into Watkins Mall.
Both Gerald and Jeremy were wearing masks, and they were accompanied by two female companions with good figures and sexy clothes.
"Mr. Carter, please follow me this way." Jeremy led the way like a servant.
Gerald, with a bandage on his forehead, didn't look too good and snorted, looking at the two women beside him. "What do you mean by this?"
Jeremy hurriedly leaned close to Gerald's ear and whispered, "These two have some fame in the modeling circle! They are younger than my little sister, and tonight, they will serve you well."
"Fuck!" Gerald pushed Jeremy aside and gave the two women a contemptuous glance. "Tell them to go away! They're just a bunch of shallow and tasteless bitches!"
Jeremy's expression froze. He quickly handed some tips to the two female models and sent them away.
"Mr. Carter, calm down. I'll have a drink with you tonight." Jeremy made a gesture of invitation.
Gerald walked towards a restaurant on the second floor of the mall, his face extremely gloomy. "I'm asking you, Jeremy, what's your intention now? I asked you to bring your sister to apologize to me, but you didn't do it."
"Alas, I had no choice but to do as I was told," Jeremy sighed. "It's my little sister's fault. My parents hit her so hard that her face swelled up, and she couldn't leave the house. I just want to wait until she's feeling better and then bring her to apologize to you."
Gerald gave Jeremy a disdainful look and asked, "Really?"
"Really. You don't understand my parents' attitude. We are on your side. It's all my sister's fault. She doesn't know what's good for her!"
Gerald's expression softened a little. "Jeremy, I have to tell you. I really like your sister. Ever since I saw her, every woman seemed mediocre and beneath me. They're too inferior and are not up to my standards.
"And I'm not lying to you. I truly want to marry Ms. Lorente. As a man, I want to marry someone virtuous, who can take care of the family and educate the children, and I can trust her to stay at home. And your sister happens to be a teacher, and my son likes her."
"Yes, yes. I have always told my sister that it's her good fortune to be noticed by you," Jeremy quickly agreed.
Gerald's expression softened slightly, and his mood brightened a bit as he calmed down after being flattered by Jeremy.
But suddenly, his gaze fell on Queenie, who was pushing Benoit's wheelchair nearby. She was bending down to talk and laugh with the man in the wheelchair, and her face showed no sign of trouble.
Gerald became furious. "You bastard! You've been lying to me! Your sister is perfectly fine, so why did you say she was beaten so badly that she couldn't show her face in public? Look at her. She still has time to socialize with other men!"
Jeremy's brows furrowed, and he blurted out without thinking. "Ah? Could it be that she really got married?"
"Married?" Gerald's voice rose several decibels, his chest heaving with anger. "What? Your sister would rather marry a useless man than marry me!"
Jeremy realized he had misspoken and slapped himself. "That's not what I meant. I don't know whether my sister is married or not. She was probably just fooling around with me."
Gerald squinted his eyes as he watched the two of them walking towards a restaurant, and he was convinced. "Look at the way they are. Their relationship must be more than just friends! Jeremy, let me tell you, your sister must apologize to me today!"
He pointed to the bandage on his head as he spoke, "Even if she has to kneel down in front of her disabled husband, she must apologize to me! I don't care if she gets married or not! If she does, she still has to serve me until I'm satisfied before this matter can be put to rest!"
Jeremy looked gloomy.
What Gerald said was too vulgar.
Jeremy also knew that Gerald had not been clear about his relationship with two married female subordinates before. But after all, Queenie was his sister. Even if Jeremy didn't like her, he still couldn't bring himself to do such disgusting things.
Gerald could see his hesitation, and his voice became cold. "What? You don't want the project to be approved anymore? I know that your family's company is relying on that project to turn things around. You're the third in line at home. If you bankrupt your family company, will your father still look up to you? Will you still have a stake in the company?"
Jeremy's face stiffened, and he gritted his teeth as he took out his phone to explain, "I must seek justice for you, Mr. Carter! I'll call a few bodyguards downstairs right away and make sure my sister and her disabled husband are brought under control."
Gerald sneered at him and said, "Oh, you're not going to play the loving sibling act with me?"
Jeremy said with a sullen smile, "It's my sister's fault. If she hadn't hit you on the head, would we be in this situation?"
Gerald nodded in satisfaction. Thinking about how he would be able to hold the little beauty in his arms and kiss Queenie in front of her wheelchair-bound husband later, he felt extremely excited.
Soon, several bodyguards arrived, and they hurriedly walked toward the private room of Queenie and Benoit.
The door was violently pushed open.
Glancing at the person, Queenie was startled, and her heart trembled.
