Chapter 107 Gilda Reveals the Truth

"Yes, I've always wanted to know! Since I was little, I've dreamed of knowing whether I am truly your biological daughter, conceived in your womb for ten months!"

Queenie clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms, not allowing herself to shed a tear in front of Gilda!

Gilda's eyes glimmered with hatred as she took a few steps closer.

"Then I will tell you clearly and honestly. Yes, I hate you! When I conceived your three brothers and Monica, it all went well. But you! Only you, the bringer of misfortune! I didn't know how difficult it would be to have you. I gave birth to three sons in a row, but I still wanted a daughter. God knows how happy your dad and I were when we found out the gender. At that time, I was newly pregnant and vomited every day, even bile, but I was still happy."

Gilda continued bitterly, "Anastasia consulted an astrologer who said there was a problem with the timing of your conception. He said it was ill-fated and would bring harm to our whole family. I didn't believe it. I insisted on giving birth to you. But God knows, in the seventh month of pregnancy, we discovered that your placenta was carrying uterine fibroids. You grew up together with the fibroids."

Gilda remembered the past and took a painful breath.

Upon hearing this, Barbara retorted repeatedly. "But you can't blame Queenie for that!"

"Why shouldn't I blame her!" Gilda's voice became more serious!

"The doctor said it was her leg pressing against the tumor which affected the ultrasound's detection of the tumor's presence."

"Yes. It's because of her that the tumor was stimulated and grew uncontrollably! Throughout the pregnancy, while others suffered from morning sickness for three months, I vomited until giving birth. I couldn't even get out of bed, constantly worried about the tumor rupturing. Queenie, I hate you. Honestly, nobody can like a troublesome child like this!"

Gilda stared at Queenie intensely and said, "After waiting so long to give birth, when I finally had the chance for surgery and to have the tumor removed, I ended up hemorrhaging. My family had to deal with a problem regarding an order and had no choice but to go to the company. The whole hospital was left with just me and the driver. They issued an emergency notice, but there was no one around to sign it. Who is responsible for all of this?"

Pointing her sharp nails at Queenie, Gilda accused, "It's all because of you! You're the one who caused it! If it wasn't for your bad luck, I wouldn't have developed fibroids when I got pregnant with you! If it wasn't for you, my family wouldn't have been absent when I gave birth! They were too busy dealing with the company's bankruptcy!"

"It's you, all because of you!" Gilda shouted until she was out of breath. She took a deep breath before continuing, "Honestly, because of you, I'm afraid to have children again. So when Monica was about to come, I was considering terminating the pregnancy. I even asked your grandma to consult a fortune teller, and the fortune teller said that Monica would bring good luck."

Gilda sighed. "With doubts in my mind, I decided to keep her. But unexpectedly, the entire pregnancy went smoothly without any complications. I never threw up once, and I could even travel with you and the others. On the day of the delivery, not only did everything go fine, but a major order arrived at the company. So until now, I have felt guilty towards Monica. Because I initially thought about getting rid of her! And all of this is because of you. Queenie, do you still dare to say that it's not your fault?"

Queenie sneered, feeling a heavy tightness in her chest but unable to utter a word.

She wanted to say that it had nothing to do with her.

What did all of this have to do with her?

She didn't believe in superstitions!

But everything seemed to coincide, leaving her speechless.

Seeing that Queenie couldn't respond, Gilda took two steps closer.

"Have you ever thought about what I could do to you? What could you have done? Even the fortune teller said you would never have good luck in your lifetime! You are destined to be unlucky, to live a life of hardship and die alone! With such a fate, what more can I consider for you? Naturally, I will prioritize Monica!"

After a long while, Queenie took a deep breath and slowly spoke as if she had made a decision.
