Chapter 86 About Children
"Children?" Benoit was taken aback.
A hint of regret flashed in Benoit's eyes as he hesitantly reached out to touch Queenie's flat belly.
His expression clearly showed that he didn't warmly welcome the arrival of this little one!
Come on, they had just gotten married. Wasn't he planning to enjoy a carefree life?
Queenie pulled his large hand away, her cheeks turning red as she explained in a soft voice. "No, I'm not pregnant. I was just watching you educate Barbara Clancy and thought that you would make a great parent if we had children in the future."
The pain of her dysfunctional family had always been in her heart. That's why she longed to settle down early, have a happy and fulfilling family of her own, and have her own children to raise them into loving and confident individuals.
However, Benoit hadn't thought of this. Upon hearing that there were no children, he visibly relaxed and took out a card from his pocket, handing it to Queenie.
"Queenie, this is a globally customized black gold card, for you."
"Black gold card?" Queenie hadn't heard of this kind of card before, and she received it from Benoit's hand with confusion. She saw Benoit's personal signature on the signature line, strong and powerful, just like him.
"Yes, a black gold card. Each man can only have one in his lifetime. And this card can only be held by a wife. If it's a girlfriend, she won't be able to apply for it. The card's password is your birthday. You can use this card for future purchases without any spending limit."
As he spoke, Benoit handed another bank card to Queenie.
"This one is the company's dividend card which I'll pass on to you as well. Although I don't hold power, I still have a certain percentage of shares in the Clancy Group. Every quarter, the company will deposit the dividends into this card."
When Queenie heard it was a ‘dividend card’, she was shocked and couldn't speak for a while. It was just today that she heard Barbara Clancy say that Pollard received millions in dividends each quarter.
Benoit smiled faintly. "Probably more than that."
"And you're giving all of it to me?" Queenie's eyes were filled with disbelief.
"Yes, I’m giving it to you. Is there a problem? We are a family! Queenie, I'm handing over the economic power of our household to you now. From now on, you have the final say in our family."
Queenie couldn't help but smile, wrapping her arms around Benoit's neck and leaning in to kiss his cheek.
The feeling of being trusted was really nice. Benoit could sense her joy and continued, "We need to move houses and buy some large items for the home. Let's discuss using the money here for those expenses. If I need pocket money, I'll have to ask you for it too."
"Alright!" Queenie had originally considered refusing. After all, there was too much money involved. But when she heard that Benoit would have to ask her for pocket money, she agreed. After all, Benoit was extravagant with money!
Benoit suddenly had a bad feeling. But seeing how happy his wife was, his lips curved into a pleased smile as he leaned in closer to Queenie's soft lips, tempted to bite them.
However, in the next instant, the doorbell rang. Barbara Clancy had returned, and Queenie's phone also started ringing.
Unable to be affectionate, Benoit's expression turned dark as he went to open the door. Queenie, upon seeing an unfamiliar number, worried it might be a parent calling her, so she answered.
But as soon as she answered, she heard Pollard's voice on the other end. "Queenie, it's me. Don't hang up. I have something to tell you."
"Pollard, I've already made it clear. If you want to talk, come and have a face-to-face conversation. We'll settle the unresolved issues from our breakup. If you can't come, don't call me anymore."
Queenie suddenly felt a bit weary. Just as she was about to hang up, she accidentally pressed the speakerphone button, making Pollard's voice audible to the entire living room where Benoit, Barbara Clancy, and Queenie were all present.
"Queenie, can't you stop being mad at me? If you really think I'm not sincere enough, then I'll send you my salary card and bonus card."
