Chapter 67 Manley: Find out about Queenie and Leo

"Woof!" General called out, loosening his grip and then biting again.

"Woof!" And he repeated this cycle.

"Don't move. If you move, General will directly crush your bones," said an enchanting man named Mark Nord, who had dyed blonde hair and delicate facial features.

Holding a cigar between his fair fingers, he sniffed it beneath his nostrils as if savoring some earthly delight. With a crisp click, the lights in the room turned on.

Mark calmly switched off three night vision cameras, removed their memory, put it in his pocket, and then smiled warmly at Sarah, who was crying pitifully. "Oh, poor little thing, you're crying so miserably. Brother will call the police for you!"

Terrified, Sarah, with the bedsheet tightly covering her chest, managed to react and said, "Can't call the police, can't call the police! I won't go to the police station."

"That won't do!" Mark chuckled, revealing a set of dazzling white teeth. "There is video evidence here of this guy assaulting you. This is proof of his guilt. Brother here is a good citizen, so I must report it to the police."

Soon, the police arrived and swiftly took control of Daniel. However, General still refused to let go. Mark whistled, and only then did General release his grip, allowing the police to take Daniel away.

When the female officer wanted to take Sarah away, Mark approached her and considerately picked up a tissue to wipe her face, lowering his voice to speak into her ear.

"Benoit asked me to pass on two messages to you. The first one is that Daniel must go to jail. If he doesn't, then it will be you who suffers." Sarah's body trembled as she looked at the man in front of her, who was more beautiful than a woman, despite her swollen face from being beaten.

But as he curled his lips to reveal a sinister smile, it made him even more terrifying than a messenger from hell.

At this moment, what was there left for her to not understand? Benoit gave her the room key card! It was clearly meant to harm her! She was beaten by this terrifying man and almost violated. She had never experienced something like this before.

How could Benoit do this? She was a girl! Sarah's tears fell uncontrollably as she looked at Mark, unwillingly saying, "Why! What's wrong with me! Queenie..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Mark interrupted her, saying, "Benoit asked me to pass on...”

The voice fell, and Sarah shivered all over, her body went limp as she was taken away by the police.

At that moment, she seemed to truly realize the terrifying nature of Benoit.

This man was definitely not someone she could afford to provoke.

As Sarah was taken away and with the video evidence against Daniel, he was successfully convicted.

Meanwhile, Mary, who had been on the phone with Lilith, attempting to establish an alliance, was suddenly silenced by someone covering her mouth. She was pulled aside, and a spray bottle was taken out of her bag and sprayed in her face.

"What are you doing?" Mary struggled, but soon her hands and feet were restrained by the person in black, leaving her helpless as they sprayed the entire bottle onto her face, until it was empty.

The spray bottle was thrown onto the ground.

The person left, saying "Benoit wants you to stay away from his people."

Mary's body went limp, and she could only grit her teeth and drag herself back to her apartment. She filled a large bathtub with ice-cold water and climbed in.

In the midst of the winter season, lying in this pool of ice-cold water, Mary's eyes were filled with resentment.

"I will not let this go so easily!"

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Benoit was listening to Manley's report.

"Benoit, Daniel, Sarah, and Mary have all been taken care of," Manley reported.

"Hmm," Benoit nodded nonchalantly, "Also take care of Sarah's sister. She played a role in this matter as well."

Manley paused for a moment, hesitating before speaking, "How should we handle her?"

"Transfer her to a regular elementary school. I can't have a dangerous factor near Queenie," Benoit replied.

"Alright," Manley responded, but he showed hesitation on his face.

"Spit it out, is there something else?" Benoit's sharp gaze fell on Manley.

Manley pondered for a moment before speaking, "I found records of Queenie consulting a psychologist. This matter...is related to Leo."

"What exactly happened?" Benoit fixed his sharp gaze on Manley.

Manley furrowed his brows, seemingly contemplating how to express it.

"This Leo is not a good person. Taking advantage of his wealthy and influential family, he has bullied several girls."

Benoit's gaze sharpened even more, interrupting Manley, "I don't want to hear about other women's affairs. I only want to hear about Queenie's."

Manley swallowed, "I haven't found the exact details yet. But I discovered that one time, Queenie left a hotel in a disoriented state with Leo. Her second brother picked her up. It seems like he even made an agreement with the Blair family... that Queenie will never come to the West District."

"Never come to the West District?" Benoit furrowed his brows, "What a waste! Making such a pact with someone?"

"After that incident, Queenie started seeing a psychologist. The psychologist might have more information."

"Due to confidentiality rules, we were unable to investigate."

Manley lowered his head, slightly afraid of angering Benoit.

From Sarah's accusation to uncovering Queenie's counseling, it is not hard to guess what happened in between.

And these events undoubtedly touched a nerve with Benoit.

Subconsciously, Manley took a few steps back.

The air became quiet for a moment, and Manley caught a glimpse of the veins in Benoit's hand gripping the wheelchair, barely visible.

For a moment, he thought Benoit would stand up and rush to the Blair family to tear Leo apart.

But in the next instant, those veins gradually relaxed, and Benoit responded softly, "Hmm, I understand."

Manley was surprised.

Was he calm?

Staring at Benoit's back as he pushed the wheelchair into the ward, Manley's expression became serious.

Benoit really loved Queenie deeply.

He loved her enough to accept everything about her, including her past.

He loved her so much that he was no longer himself...

Benoit pushed the wheelchair into the ward, came to the bedside, and tenderly brushed Queenie's forehead, who was sound asleep.

After a while, Queenie woke up, opened her eyes, and was startled by the unfamiliar surroundings.

"Don't be afraid, you're in the hospital."

Seeing Benoit by her side, Queenie's heart finally relaxed.

"Get up and have some oatmeal when you wake up. It will help with your stomach." After pausing, Benoit added, "Your competition is scheduled for tomorrow, so rest well today."

"Alright."

Queenie got up, washed up, and walked to the dining table to have breakfast.

Ding~ ding~ ding, a few notification sounds came from Queenie's phone.

She received a WhatsApp message from Ella.

“Ms. Lorente, there is something I have been thinking about for a long time and decided to tell you.”

“Sarah heard from your sister about what Leo did to you in the past and specially went to inform your husband.”

“Ms. Lorente, I'm truly sorry. I couldn't control my sister! I hope this doesn't affect your relationship with your husband.”

“Also, I heard that your husband went to West District with you for a business trip yesterday. But Sarah has a more open personality... Did your husband come back to the room last night?”

“Ms. Lorente, I mean no harm. I'm just worried that Sarah might ruin your marital relationship. If that really is the case, I am partially to blame.”

Queenie glanced at the WhatsApp message from her sister Sarah, coldly smiled, and decisively replied.

“Ella, don't spread false rumors. I was not violated by Leo.”

“As for our marital relationship, there's no need for Ella to worry, my husband was by my side the whole night yesterday.”

“However, there is one thing Ella got right.”

"Sarah's situation, you cannot escape blame."

After sending the WhatsApp message, Queenie no longer paid attention to her.

She just couldn't believe it, Ella didn't know anything about Sarah's situation!

If she really intended to remind Ella, why didn't she do it last night? Why wait until early morning to tell her all this!

Putting down her phone, Queenie glanced at Benoit and asked, "Did Sarah come to see you?"

"Yes," Benoit responded without evading.

Queenie's heart skipped a beat, "Then you have nothing to ask me?"
