Chapter 143 Barbara Goes to Mr. Brown's Bed

Pollard hesitated, but ultimately didn't say anything.

"Let me calm down."

After leading Lilith out of the police station, Pollard left on his own.

Lilith watched her son's retreating figure and felt her anger rising uncontrollably.

It's all because of that wretched Queenie! Her son wasn't like this before. He used to obey her every word and was very filial!

This was the first time he had spoken to her so angrily and had just left her at the entrance of the police station.

A BMW pulled up in front of Lilith, and the window rolled down to reveal Mary with heavy makeup on.

"Get in, I'll give you a ride."

Lilith was angry and urgently needed someone to vent to, so she got into the car without a second thought.

Mary took Lilith to a restaurant to have dinner. Kate discreetly followed.

Mary and Lilith entered a private room, while Kate disguised herself as a waitress and secretly placed a listening device in the room.

After the "waitress" left, Mary couldn't bear listening to Lilith's grievances any longer and spoke frankly.

"Do you remember the plan I mentioned last time? Have you thought about it? If you keep hesitating, Queenie will continue to disrespect you. Moreover, Barbara is now the only bridge between you, your husband, and your son."

Hearing this, Lilith furrowed her brows. "What do you mean?"

"From what I know, your husband is very displeased with what you did. He rushed on a business trip without addressing the issue. But I assume he'll be returning in three days, right? After all, it's his birthday. As for your son, you just saw his attitude towards you."

"Currently, the only one who can mend the relationship between you, your son, and your husband is your daughter Barbara. Only when Queenie hurts Barbara and disappoints her will Barbara stand by your side and speak for you. And as soon as Barbara is harmed, they will immediately dislike Queenie. After all, Barbara is your true family. Don't you understand this?" Mary's words subtly affected Lilith's heart.

But just the thought of scheming against her own daughter made her restless with worry. What if something goes wrong?

However, Lilith gradually inclined towards Mary from a rational standpoint. She kept telling herself that nothing would happen, that it was just sleeping pills, not something that could cause any harm.

Knowing that Lilith hadn't made up her mind yet, Mary opened a Facebook account on her phone and handed it to Lilith to look at.

Lilith was confused and asked, "What is this?"

"It's Barbara's alternative account. I managed to find it through someone," Mary replied with a faint smile.

Lilith's face lost all its cheerfulness and resembled a mother impatient to read her daughter's diary during her teenage years. She quickly began flipping through it.

This account recorded Barbara's admiration for Simms.

"On September 3rd, it was sunny. I saw Simms in school and called out to him, but he ignored me. However, considering how handsome and cool he is, I forgave him."

"On September 21st, it was cloudy. Why is Simms still so cold towards me? It's making me feel so bad! Just wait, one day, I will conquer you!"

"On October 3rd, it was sunny. It was a great day in my life. Thanks to Mr. Clancy, he helped me arrange a date with Simms. Although Mr. Clancy was there the whole time, let's consider it as our first date chaperoned by an elder."

"On December 18th, it was sunny. I was devastated when I heard about the things the Romero family did to Simms. I must have Mr. Clancy help him!"

...

Lilith read the latest Facebook post where Barbara mentioned being attracted to a seductive wine-red dress and planning to wear it to tempt Simms at her father's birthday banquet.

"This is outrageous!" Lilith slammed her phone down and looked resolutely at Mary. "Alright, let's do it your way! Tomorrow, we'll make a move in the drinks, and Queenie will push Barbara towards Mr. Brown's bed! You have to handle things on Mr. Brown's side!"
