Chapter 114 The Sincerest Attitude
The people sitting in the private room were all respected elders from prominent families in Coast City. Most of them were acquainted with Benoit.
Seeing Benoit openly causing trouble for Jacob, many of them found an excuse to leave their seats.
Among them, two elderly men, who weren’t afraid of the Clancy family, tapped Jacob's shoulder and said with sarcasm, "Little Mr. Clancy, we'll leave first."
"Yes, we won't hinder the bonding between you, Mr. Clancy and Mr. Clancy Jr." After the mischievous old men left, the private room fell completely silent. In the next instant, over twenty men in black swiftly rushed upstairs and surrounded Queenie and her group.
Queenie, who had never witnessed such a spectacle before, was genuinely startled. Meanwhile, Jacob sat calmly in a grand redwood armchair, casually brewing tea.
"Benoit, don't be too arrogant. After all, I am your elder," Jacob said, his voice calm.
Benoit adjusted his glasses on his nose and smiled politely.
"Am I being arrogant?" As soon as the words fell, Kate, with a military-like voice, loudly shouted, "Not arrogant!" Benoit shrugged at Jacob.
"You see, everyone says I'm not arrogant. If I were, I would have just attacked your daughter directly. Why would I bother coming to you and filing a complaint politely?"
Benoit then smirked at Queenie and added, "I forgot to introduce myself to you. Privately, to differentiate between our family and sister-in-law's family, some people also refer to us as 'the Clancy family' while they call sister-in-law's family 'the Little Clancy family'." Benoit particularly emphasized the word 'little'.
Jacob's face twitched in anger. As if Benoit still didn't understand, he continued, "So, sister-in-law's father also has people privately referring to him as 'the Little Clancy family' or 'Little Mr. Clancy' to differentiate him from my father."
Benoit then gestured towards Jacob and asked, "Isn't that right, 'Little Clancy'?"
Seeing Jacob's face turn red with anger, Queenie winked at Benoit, gesturing for him to not be so arrogant. In the next instant, there was a loud bang. Jacob threw the bowl in his hand and exclaimed, "Benoit, you've gone too far!"
With that, Jacob signaled his henchmen with his eyes. Kate immediately stood in front of Queenie and asked, "Queenie, how do you want me to handle this?"
"Huh?" Queenie was a bit dumbfounded. Benoit nodded confidently at her and said, "Kate is now your person. You can make requests, just like you used to with Mr. Clancy. Should we knock these people out? Or should we break their hands and feet? Maybe draw some blood?"
Kate spoke with full confidence, while Queenie looked utterly confused. She finally understood why Benoit was so arrogant. It seemed that all his subordinates were just as arrogant! Still not accustomed to being a villain, Queenie whispered, "Just knock them out. Don't hurt them too much."
After saying that, she anxiously looked at Manley and said, "Help Kate, she's just a girl..." Before she could finish her sentence, there was a loud bang.
Kate had already knocked down several black-clad bodyguards.
The bodyguards groaned on the ground.
Kate bent down and asked them seriously, "Doesn't hurt too much, does it?"
After knocking down a few more bodyguards, there were still around a dozen left.
Kate looked at them and said straightforwardly, "You guys are no match for me, so let's forget about it, shall we?"
Her gaze was sincere, and there was no trace of arrogance.
But she was clearly using the sincerest attitude to say the most impressive words!
Queenie was speechless.
In less than a few minutes, Kate, a woman, had knocked down over twenty bodyguards, and her hairstyle remained intact.
Jacob's mouth twitched in anger. "Benoit, what the hell are you trying to do!"
Benoit laughed lightly and reminded him, "Next time you talk to me, remember to include 'big' before my name. I am your 'big' Mr. Clancy!"
Where did he learn this infuriating skill?
Saying that, Benoit took a sip of tea.
"Well, you see, your daughter has repeatedly bullied my wife with malicious intent and hasn't learned her lesson yet. Out of a psychological need for compensation, I think you should compensate me with a piece of land."
Saying that, Benoit threw the legal documents in Manley's hand onto the table.
"Take a look. If there's no problem, just sign it!"
Queenie thought to herself, “Isn't this plain robbery? What's the difference?”
