Chapter 102 Does Mr. Clancy Know?

Queenie remembered the times she had been with Benoit without protection and hadn't gotten pregnant. Her face turned even paler.

The doctor took off her glasses and looked at Queenie. "Your endocrine data does seem to have some issues."

Just with that sentence, Queenie's eyes immediately turned red. She loved children so much and longed to have one of her own. The thought of not being able to conceive caused her heart and chest to ache painfully.

"Miss, don't cry. I've reviewed your data, and while there are some minor issues, it doesn't require immediate treatment."

"But can I still get pregnant?" Queenie asked anxiously.

"To be honest, your condition isn't severe. However, Polycystic ovary syndrome is a complicated condition. In clinical practice, many patients with polycystic ovaries get pregnant without treatment, while others, even with seemingly mild data, undergo years of treatment without success. My suggestion is that you're still young, so try conceiving naturally first. Let's not use hormone medication for now. Based on your data, I don't think it's necessary. Try improving your diet, exercise, practice yoga, and relax both your mind and body. If it doesn't work, then come back to me for medication."

"Alright," Queenie nodded.

Seeing her lips turn pale, the doctor couldn't help but offer a few more words of comfort. "Don't worry, your data isn't severe. I've seen many people with more serious data who were still able to get pregnant."

"What if I really can't conceive, doctor? How would I be treated?" Queenie asked with concern.

"Typically, we start with ovulation induction to see if the couple can conceive naturally. If that doesn't work, then we explore options like artificial insemination and IVF. Relax, young lady. You're still very young, and everything will be fine," the doctor said kindly with a smile.

Queenie picked up her test report and left the office with light steps.

Just as she walked out of Ms. Wilson's office, Queenie noticed a woman of similar age coming out of another office. The woman burst into loud sobs as soon as she stepped out.

Two women, around sixty years old, approached her and offered comfort. "Girl, it's okay, don't cry. Don't scare your mom! Medical technology is so advanced nowadays. Everything will be fine!"

"That's right! If you can't have children, then don't! We don't need to suffer through this! It's already this day and age. What's the point of carrying on the family line? Daughter-in-law, don't worry. I am an open-minded mother-in-law. Whether you want to keep trying to have children or not, or even consider adoption, it's all up to you! Life is short. We shouldn't waste all our time on the pursuit of an offspring! We should truly experience life. Whether or not you have children, in the grand scheme of things, we're all just a handful of dust."

Hearing these words, the woman cried even harder. "Mom, thank you."

As if influenced by these women's comforting words, Queenie turned her face and wiped away her tears. She truly envied that woman! To have such caring mother-in-law and mother must be wonderful. If she had such a strong support system, maybe she wouldn't feel so helpless at the moment.

Barbara Clancy, sensing Queenie's sadness, couldn't help but give her a tight hug. "Queenie, don't be upset. The doctors have said it's not as serious as you think."

Queenie knew that both the doctors and Barbara Clancy were trying to comfort her, so she managed to force a smile. Her voice was low, filled with melancholy, as she asked, "Does your brother know about this? Does Mr. Clancy know?"
