Chapter 19 Benoit's Identity

"I..." Jeremy explained calmly after a brief panic. "Since my sister is so shameless, I'll just tell you the truth. Pollard's mother didn't like Queenie at all, so we want Monica to marry into the Clancy family instead. This is what our family decided!"
Jenna nodded. "Okay, I don't care about your family's issues."
Jeremy was overjoyed, and then he heard Jenna's calm voice again.
"But let me ask you this. Did you set Queenie up and send her to Mr. Carter?"
"I..." Jeremy walked towards Jenna with an embarrassed expression on his face, gently held her arms, and explained, "Baby, this matter is really complicated. Besides, Queenie is not a good person."
As he said that, he turned his head and glanced at Benoit. "See? She didn't even let go of the crippled and climbed onto his bed!
"She wanted to get married so much and always wanted to leave home.
"Between those two people, isn't marrying Mr. Carter better than this cripple in a wheelchair?
"If she marries Mr. Carter, her husband at least has real power!"
Hearing this, Jenna looked at Jeremy in shock.
Jeremy was a bit embarrassed being stared at. "Baby, not everyone is as good as you. Queenie is not very good, so we did this to her. It is impossible for us to treat you like this. As long as you marry me, I guarantee that our family will treat you nicely..."
Jeremy wanted to explain something else, but Jenna interrupted him directly. "Jeremy, let me ask you one last time. Did you participate in setting Queenie up? Yes or no?"
"Yes." Jeremy gritted his teeth and replied, "But this matter could have a good result! Mr. Carter wants to marry Queenie, and Queenie is the teacher of Mr. Carter's child. After getting married, Queenie will be the wife of Mr. Carter, and she can teach his child well. She will also live a good life, so isn't this the best of both sides?"
Before he finished speaking, Jenna slapped Jeremy in the face.
There was a loud snap, which made Jeremy's eardrums buzz.
Jeremy covered his burning face and looked at Jenna in disbelief. "Baby?"
"Don't call me that!" Jenna raised her hand to stop him and explained uncomfortably, "I'm sick of the scumbag! If you call me that again, I'm going to throw up!"
She didn't really like this marriage at first, and she didn't really want to agree to it. She just said they could spend some time together to get to know each other.
But during this time together, Jeremy obeyed her and was extremely considerate. Even if she couldn't fall in love with Jeremy, she really couldn't find a single fault.
But now she suddenly knew that this person's true face was like this, and she felt annoyed at being deceived.
"Jeremy, do you think I'm stupid? I've had private contact with Queenie, and I know her a little.
"She works hard, and she is many times better than Monica in your family!"
Jeremy didn't want anyone to say that about his sister, so he subconsciously yelled, "I don't allow you to talk about Monica like this!"
After yelling, he felt a little regretful. This marriage was extremely important to him, and it was also a bonus item for his father to measure his value, so he coaxed Jenna in a gentle voice.
"Baby, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. Listen to me. Let's not fight over a useless person and Queenie, shall we?"
Jenna sneered and pushed him away suddenly. "It seems that you still don't know what you have done wrong,
"Well, not to mention Queenie's behavior, even if she wants to climb into someone's bed, that's her own business!
"Her body, her choice! But you make decisions for her, and you set her up. This is a crime!
"Jeremy, you are her brother, and how could you give her to a divorced man in his late 50s, yet you still have the nerve to say it's a good day?
"Do you have a fucking conscience? Do you even know what's right or wrong?"
Jenna got excited and kicked Jeremy's calf fiercely. "Take Monica, that spoiled kid, as a treasure. Are you all crazy?"
Jeremy was in so much pain that he stood on one leg, almost falling, but he still yelled angrily, "Jenna, I don't allow you to talk about Monica like that. Monica is so many times better than Queenie!"
After he said that, a sonorous male voice sounded not far away.
"What's the noise?"
Jeremy followed the sound and saw Sanford Taylor, who was dressed in a suit, approaching with anger.
Sanford immediately looked at his wife and daughter. "What happened?"
Sheila was still in shock, and she regained her composure before explaining. "Jenna wants to break off the engagement with the Lorente family."
As she said that, Sheila looked at Jeremy bitterly, shook her head, and said, "Jeremy, I have always liked you very much, and I have long regarded you as my son-in-law.
"I've also heard that you want to take on that project. I even said a few words for you at the coffee party with the ladies yesterday.
"I didn't expect you to do such a shameless thing. You really let me down!"
As soon as Sheila finished speaking, Jeremy's face immediately changed.
He didn't expect Sheila to help him lead the way!
He knew that this marriage would help him!
Jeremy hurriedly went to coax Sheila. "Mrs. Taylor, I did not do well in this matter, but I was also forced by my family. Please forgive me this time. I promise not to do it again in the future."
Sheila shook her head in disappointment. "Your family forced you? Even though your family forced you, do you have to do it? Don't you have your own principles of life?"
Seeing that Sheila wouldn't forgive him, Jeremy looked at Sanford eagerly. "Mr. Taylor, you have to trust me! I really have a deep feeling for Jenna! You see, both of our family businesses will be even better in the future after we get married."
Sanford didn't know the reason, but when he heard this, he couldn't help but sneer. "I never need to sell my daughter for glory! I don't need to rely on my daughter's marriage to bring anything to the Taylor family! All I want is her happiness!"
"Me! I'm sure I can give Jenna happiness!" Jeremy anxiously stepped forward to explain and then pointed to Benoit behind him. "Mr. Taylor, listen to me. These two people are here to make trouble today, so Jenna and Mrs. Taylor misunderstood me. I can explain clearly. We don't need to give up our close relationship because of such two people, and one is disabled, right?"
Sanford subconsciously looked in the direction Jeremy pointed, and his pupils shrank suddenly.
"Mr. Clancy!"
Sanford exclaimed, and his heart almost jumped out of his throat in fright.
He was 5'10 feet tall and quickly bowed half his body to meet Benoit for fear that Benoit would punish him for his negligence just now.
"Mr. Clancy, I'm really sorry. I was blocked by this kid just now, and I didn't see you. I really didn't mean to not greet you."
Benoit responded lightly with a nod.
Jeremy was shocked when he saw Sanford, who always looked tough and serious, politely and voluntarily walk towards the cripple with a bow.
"Mr. Taylor, you... What did you call this cripple just now?"
