Chapter 113 Mr. Clancy Does Wife a Favor

The next day, as soon as Queenie stepped out of the room, she was startled to see a woman doing a handstand in the living room.

Before she could ask who that lady was, Benoit came out pushing a wheelchair.

He looked at the woman doing the handstand expressionlessly and asked, "Has the craziness left your mind?"

"It has." The woman responded like a disciplined soldier.

"Apologize to Queenie." Benoit commanded.

The woman spoke like a trained soldier, "Queenie, I failed in my duty yesterday and couldn't protect you. This shouldn’t have happened. Please forgive me."

It was Kate. She was standing on her hands, and Queenie didn't know how long she had been doing that. Her face turned pale, and her hands were already trembling. She couldn't bear it and said, "Please come down."

"No, Mr. Clancy hasn't given the order yet, so I can't come down," Kate responded.

Queenie looked at Benoit and said, "Just let her come down. Being so strict with a girl is too much. Besides, I was fine yesterday."

Benoit glanced at Kate and said, "You should thank Queenie too."

Kate landed on her feet, calmed her breathing, and politely bowed to Queenie. "Thank you, Queenie."

Only now did Queenie see Kate's face clearly. "You're the kind person who helped me when I was surrounded by the media reporters last time."

"Queenie, I'm Kate. It's my duty to do all of this."

Benoit pointed at Kate and said, "From now on, Kate will be by your side. She is usually responsible for protecting you in secret. Being a woman, it should be more convenient to have her with you."

Queenie didn't expect that Benoit had been secretly assigning a female bodyguard to protect her. Warmth flooded her heart once again.

"Okay. Thank you, dear."

"You don't have to be so polite to me forever." Benoit gazed tenderly at Queenie, but when he looked at Kate again, his demeanor turned icy. "Why didn't you follow Queenie into the alley yesterday?"

Kate's face turned pale, and she tightly clenched her hands, offering no explanation. "Mr. Clancy, it was my fault!"

Benoit furrowed his brows slightly. He knew Kate must have encountered something.

Otherwise, with her sharpness and skills, Queenie wouldn't have been touched by those petty gangsters.

Benoit's voice turned stern. "Kate, remember your duty. I don't want there to be a next time!"

"Yes, Mr. Clancy," Kate nodded.

With that, Benoit gave a few more phone numbers to Queenie, saying, "Manley, Kate, Mark, Tom, you can deploy them anytime. They all have your number on their phones and know who you are."

Upon hearing this, Kate's eyes widened slightly.

Did Mr. Clancy actually give Queenie all the four trusted people?

The doorbell rang, and Manley walked in, saying, "Mr. Clancy, everything is arranged. Jacob is at Sound Restaurant."

"Good. Queenie, let's go to Sound Restaurant," Benoit said, leading Queenie, Manley, and Kate to the restaurant.

Queenie didn't know who Jacob was. Seeing that Benoit didn't seem like they were really there to dine, it felt more like trouble.

She couldn't help but whisper, "What are we doing here, anyway?"

"To inform the parents? My wife was bullied, and I have to tell someone's parents!" Benoit adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose and smiled gently.

At the entrance to the private room, two black-suited bodyguards stopped them.

"Who are you? Do you have a reservation?"

Benoit signaled to Manley with his eyes, saying, "Make an appointment with them."

As soon as he finished speaking, two thuds rang out.

The two black-suited bodyguards fell to the ground.

Queenie thought to herself, "This way of making appointments is quite unique."

Manley kicked open the door and pushed Benoit into the private room.

As Queenie entered the room, she saw several well-dressed old men sitting around the table, all of them looking at them intently.

Benoit pointed to the middle one, a man dressed in a black Tang suit, and introduced him with a light laugh.

"That's the one who shares the same last name as me. To distinguish him from the others, they call me Mr. Clancy, and this one is called Jacob, the Little Mr. Clancy."

Jacob, who was 82 years old, couldn't hide the displeasure on his face when he was introduced as the "Little Mr. Clancy" by someone younger.

Before he could say anything, Benoit teased him again.

"He is also our sister-in-law's father. Today, I brought you here to confront this parent."

With that, Benoit lifted his chin and looked at Jacob with a warm smile in his eyes.

"Old man, your daughter bullied my wife. How do you intend to handle this?"

As Benoit's words fell, the entire private room fell quiet.
