Chapter 107 Expensive Value

"Henry, wash your hands!"
Mila obediently brought a bucket of water and placed it in front of Henry. From the pocket of his coat, she took out a small piece of soap, knowing well that Henry valued cleanliness.
He always washed his hands before meals and after using the restroom. This time, with the smell of blood on his hands, washing was a necessity.
Originally, they had planned for a picnic, which was why Mila had thoughtfully brought along a small piece of soap.
"Great!" Henry praised as he took the soap and lathered it in his hands, creating a fragrant lather that masked the smell of blood.
David and others looked on with envy. They knew the value of such a simple item, as their parents had one, but they were never allowed to use it, being deemed unworthy.
David, in particular, remembered a time when he had used too much soap in the shower, creating a mess of bubbles that had led to a scolding from Wyatt.
Items like soap were usually reserved for the use of the nobles in the castle, including Henry, Willow, Mila, Ellie, and now Emily.
Only the parents had such privileges in Wyatt's family. Henry had intended to give them a few more pieces, but Wyatt had refused, saying that David and his brothers were still young and it wasn't good to spoil them with too many rewards.
"David, I heard you're getting married," Henry said, his tone light as he carefully cleaned his nails. "Congratulations! When's the big day?"
"In a couple of days," David, with his honest face, blushed and scratched his cheek, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"How's the new house coming along?" Henry asked, inspecting his hands for any dirt.
"It's already decorated," David replied, thinking of the new house that Henry had given him. He was filled with gratitude.
Once he was married, he couldn't continue living in the castle's front yard. He would only stay there during his daily duties, spending most of his time in the military camp.
This was one of the benefits of serving in the Lord's Manor. Henry had already planned to provide trusted individuals like David with a house as a way of winning their loyalty.
"Great! I'll give you a box of soap as a gift." Henry said, washing away the soap suds from his hands.
"Thank you, Henry!" David exclaimed excitedly, imagining the expression on his fiancee's face when she received the soap.
It was well known among the commoners that items from the Lord's Manor were priceless and hard to come by, usually only obtained as rewards.
For example, Vincent, just because he had once eaten a meal at the Lord's Manor, would always boast, "I'm someone who has had a meal with Henry."
"Alright, let's continue with the military exercises as planned and make their cooperation tighter," Henry instructed. "The accident today was due to the team being too loose."
"Yes!"
Henry nodded and ordered a few inexperienced doctors to prepare some saline solution for Emerson to drink later.
"Yes!"
After giving the orders, Henry felt a bit hungry. He turned to Mila and said, "Let's go back to the castle."
"Okay, Henry," Mila replied softly, following behind him.
As everyone watched the carriage disappear into the distance, they all had the same thought: if even a dying person could be saved, what couldn't Lord Henry do?
By the time they returned to the castle, it was already past lunchtime. However, the kitchen was always prepared with food, which would only be served to Henry after Willow had inspected it.
During the noon surgery, Henry had gotten blood splattered on him. Being a bit of a clean freak, one of the first things he did upon returning to the castle was to take a shower.
As Henry lay in the bath, looking up at the steamy ceiling, he couldn't help but think about the days on Earth.
"I never expect to have such a life before." Henry murmured.
Even if he became wealthy, he wouldn't be able to enjoy such a life.
It was because human hearts were too complicated, and societal norms would bind people, surrounded by too much calculation. And most importantly, there were no orc girls.
Henry remembered what Ellie had whispered in his ear a few days ago, and a faint smile appeared on his face. "It seems I need to prepare for tonight's return to Earth."
He now preferred to stay in this era, coming back to Earth every day to bring something or search for information rather than waiting on Earth.
The life of a noble could lead to decadence, with orc girls bickering over food, the gleaming eyes of the other as they enjoyed their meal; every morning, the obedient Willow would attend to him, and he had a group of people he could rely on, a scene straight out of an anime.
Willow put down the food and asked Mila with concern, "Mila, what happened today? Why did Henry urgently have someone take away the first aid kit?"
"Willow, you don't know, there was a shield soldier named Emerson today..." Mila's eyes sparkled as she recounted the whole story.
After listening, Willow felt a bit regretful. "Wow! It's a pity I didn't see it at the scene."
Mila didn't know why her face suddenly turned red. She carefully adjusted her collar. It was great to be able to go out alone with Henry today.
When Henry finished his shower, he saw Willow admiring him, and he shook his head with a wry smile. This matter would eventually spread, and he hoped it wouldn't be blown out of proportion.
"Henry, you've worked hard!" Willow pulled out a chair for Henry.
Henry patted Willow's head, a slight smile playing on his lips, feeling extremely content.
This kind of life, even if he couldn't return to Earth in the future, would be just fine, wouldn't it?
