Chapter 24 The Incredible Weapons

Wyatt and Mila followed Henry with curiosity as they headed to the logistics warehouse. Without Henry's authorization, only the logistics Scrivener could enter.
"Lord Henry," the logistics Scrivener saluted respectfully, opened the warehouse door, and stepped aside.
Henry nodded and led the two inside. They saw wooden racks and several large boxes, which were actually safe boxes.
Henry opened one of the safe boxes and took out a recurve bow, handing it to Wyatt. "This is a recurve bow from my hometown. You can feels its power."
Wyatt took the bow, feeling its weight. As a knight, he had high requirements, and archery was a necessary skill. His archery was as accurate as those of seasoned hunters.
The recurve bow was one of the weapons Henry brought from Earth for his army.
Wyatt was amazed. The bowstring was much harder to pull than the longbows he had used before.
The arrow hit the target on the wall, piercing the wall completely. Half of the arrow was embedded in the wall.
Wyatt and Mila took a deep breath in astonishment. "The power of this recurve bow is incredible. It can penetrate the wall from about 160 feet away. The knight's armor..."
Everyone present understood that the knight's armor couldn't withstand this recurve bow.
"The draw weight of this recurve bow is too high. Just a small portion can pull it, and even if they can, they can't shoot many arrows. It also requires specially made arrows that can penetrate the knight's armor," Mila immediately noticed the recurve bow's drawbacks.
Henry had anticipated this. He opened another box and took out another recurve bow. "I have other recurve bows here, but they are not as powerful as the one Wyatt is holding. However, with special arrows, they can still pierce armor from 95 to 130 feet away."
"I'll give it a try," Mila said as she took the bow. With a little effort, she pulled the bowstring, and the arrow hit the bull's eye, penetrating the entire target.
"Amazing!" Wyatt praised after seeing.
"I only have a few recurve bows as powerful as the one Wyatt is holding, but I have dozens of medium-level bows of Mila's holding," Henry said.
Henry opened another box, which contained specially made arrows.
"These arrows can easily penetrate a knight's armor, but use them sparingly. We don't have many." Henry said.
Henry then opened other boxes. One of them contained only three longbows. He took one out and said, "This is a compound hunting bow, a level higher than the recurve bow. It's more powerful than Wyatt's but easier to draw."
"What?" Wyatt and Mila were amazed and quickly put down the recurve bow to pick up the compound hunting bow, but they were a bit confused.
"How do you use this? There are so many strings," Mila said, a little confused. She also noticed that the bow was not made of wood and had a few small circles.
"This is the main string," Henry explained, and both of them, being experts in bows, immediately understood how to use it.
They both pulled the strings and shot the arrows. The target only had one hole, and the entire arrow was embedded in the wall.
"This... this is too terrifying. I'm afraid it can shoot through a knight," Wyatt said, shivering.
"Henry, such a weapon cannot be left here. If someone gets hold of it, it will be too dangerous for us," Mila said anxiously.
She immediately thought of assassination. With a compound hunting bow like this, one could easily kill someone from about 330 feet away.
"Yes, it must be strictly guarded," Wyatt said seriously.
Henry waved his hand, "Alright, Wyatt, you can have one of these compound hunting bows and Mila, you can have one too. The remaining one will be kept as a reward for future heroes. It's a waste to hide it. It's better to use it."
"No, this should be kept as a reserve," Wyatt immediately refused resolutely. He refused to accept the compound hunting bow, knowing that it was too valuable. If sold in the capital, it could fetch at least a thousand gold coins.
"It's too precious, equivalent to several years' income of a noble family. I can't take it," Wyatt said.
"Henry, it's a waste for me to have this compound hunting bow. I'd rather take the recurve bow," Wyatt carefully put down the compound hunting bow and picked up the powerful recurve bow.
"Henry, I can't take it either. The military knife you gave me is enough," Mila said, and a military knife appeared in her hand.
Henry was helpless. The compound hunting bow was too advanced for people of this era. Even the recurve bow was much more advanced than the longbow of this era.
Even Wyatt and Mila felt that it was too precious. That was why Henry only brought three compound hunting bows. The recurve bow was enough for the people of this era.
