Chapter 39 How to Treat Orcs

Henry took the head seat, and Mila sat next to him with Ellie.
Ellie's stomach growled.
Ellie stared at the food on the table, her throat rolling. The smell of meat filled her nose, making her salivate.
Today's lunch was a variety of dishes, including burgers and French fries.
"Mila, did you make all this just for me?" Ellie asked softly, tugging at Mila's sleeve.
Mila licked her lips, shook her head, and said, "No, this is how we usually eat in the castle."
Well, what Mila called a regular meal was just a dozen stir-fried dishes, but that was because of her big appetite.
Henry couldn't finish them all if there were five or six dishes in front of him.
Ellie didn't know this, so she thought to herself, 'The nobles are so extravagant, having a dozen dishes for a meal. But why do I feel envious?'
"Eating before it gets cold," Henry said, picking up his chopsticks.
Mila didn't hesitate and served Ellie a big piece of steak. "This is a special steak that you can only get here," she said.
Ellie tried to use the chopsticks but found it difficult to control the chopsticks to pick up the meat.
She was hungry and wanted to use her hands, but seeing that Mila was using chopsticks, she didn't want to embarrass herself.
"Bring a set of knives and forks," Henry instructed a maid.
Soon, the utensils were placed in front of Ellie. She quickly used the fork to take her first bite.
"It's delicious," Ellie said, her eyes squinting, her fox ears twitching, and her tail swaying.
Henry saw Ellie's joyful expression, similar to how Mila looked when she had a few bowls of porridge.
Ellie was completely captivated by the food. She had never eaten anything so delicious in her life.
Mila didn't hold back. She always said that the most embarrassing moments in her life were when Henry saved her, so she didn't need to pretend to be elegant.
Henry was full after two bowls of rice. When two girls are competing for food, He notices that Ellie, with her petite frame, eats more than him.
Ellie sat back in her chair, patting her belly, feeling completely satisfied.
"You ate too much, Ellie," Mila pouted. She had only eaten seventy percent of her meal, giving most to Ellie.
"You've gained weight. You can't eat anymore, or your body will start sagging," Ellie said, glancing at Mila's chest.
Mila's face turned red as she noticed Henry's gaze. She reached under the table and pinched Ellie's waist, saying, "Terrible. How dare you say that."
Ellie smirked, then asked seriously, "Henry, what do you think of the orcs?"
Henry knew that his answer was crucial. If he didn't respond well, she might not open up to him or even leave Eldoria.
"What aspects are you referring to?" Henry gave Mila a reassuring smile. "I don't know much about orcs. The first orc I met was actually Mila."
"What?" Ellie's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at Henry. She couldn't believe that Mila was the first orc he had ever seen.
Mila was also stunned. She didn't expect to be the first orc Henry had encountered. That's why Henry was so curious about her.
"Yes, Mila is the first orc I've met in this world," Henry confirmed.
"How is that possible? You're a noble," Ellie still found it hard to believe, but her intuition told her that Henry was telling the truth.
She couldn't imagine that Henry arrived in this world for a month. Ellie had surmised that Henry, during his twenty-year journey from birth to the present, had never encountered a beastman.
"I became a noble not long ago," Henry shrugged, glanced at Mila, and smiled. Actually, I think orcs are quite cute."
A blush appeared on Mila's cheeks, and she felt a surge of joy. She was the first orc Henry had ever seen.
"But... Not everyone has the same idea as yours," Ellie looked at Henry with a complicated expression and said bitterly, "They treat us like beasts."
"I don't know how others would treat orcs. In my territory, orcs are no different from commoners," Henry said, crossing his arms.
"No different from commoners?" Ellie was stunned, looking at Henry in disbelief. Not everyone could say such words.
"Yes, orcs are also members of the human race, just a little different."
Henry stood up, walked to the window, and looked outside, saying with a smile, "I may not be able to control others. But in my territory, as long as they follow the rules, orcs are my dwellers, and I will protect them in the same way."
