Chapter 93 Rewarded a Box of Lollipops
"Be a teacher?" Emily's light red eyes were filled with astonishment. She never imagined being asked to become a teacher.
She had considered other jobs, like working at a hamburger shop or selling hamburgers, but being a teacher never crossed her mind.
"Yes, be a teacher." Henry nodded, his voice gentle. "There are too few literate people in Eldoria, and even fewer who can teach."
"But, can I really do it?" Emily frowned, feeling a bit apprehensive. She had no problem with other jobs, even something like manual labor.
But being a teacher meant facing a group of human children. She needed to gain experience. What if she didn't do well? What would happen then?
"No need to worry. I'll provide you with teaching materials and methods." Henry reassured, sensing Bunny Girl's nervousness. "I'll demonstrate, and you can learn from me."
Emily let out a sigh, her light red eyes firm. "I'll work hard to become a good teacher!"
"Of course, I believe in you." Henry nodded. As long as the person could read and had the materials he provided, being an elementary school teacher would be no problem.
Henry said, "Willow, go to the private storage room and get something for me."
Henry reached into his sleeve and took out a notebook and a pen from the inner space, quickly writing down some everyday items.
"Okay!" Willow took the paper from Henry and said to the dazed Emily, "Come, let's get some things."
"Okay!" Emily, with her long legs, followed Willow.
Henry watched the two leave, then stood up and stretched. He was going to the study to work on the teaching materials, which were almost complete.
Beside him, Ellie pouted. She had wanted to go to the private storage room, but Mila glared at her, and she obediently stayed put.
"Let's go! Come to the study with me. You did a good job this time, so I'll reward you." Henry said, patting Ellie's head and tweaking her fox ears.
"Really?" Ellie, with her face turning red, looked at Henry with her brown eyes, full of anticipation.
"Yes, but only if you come." Henry joked.
"Of course, I'll come!"
"Haha..."
Henry lazily yawned and walked out, followed by Mila and the eagerly anticipating Ellie.
"Henry, what are you going to reward me with?" Ellie asked, her face upturned, her fox ears twitching as she gestured with her hands. "Is it something delicious?"
"Something like that." Henry yawned again. After lunch, all he wanted to do was sleep.
"Henry, why don't you take a break?" Mila asked with concern. She knew Henry had been writing recently, but she didn't know what it was about.
She knew some words, but the profound things, she didn't understand at all.
Henry just shook his head, squinting at the bright sun in the sky, and said softly, "If Emily can teach those children well, there will be no more discrimination against orcs in Eldoria's next generation."
Mila and Ellie's bodies stiffened, and they stared blankly at Henry's back. They had never felt Henry's greatness until this moment.
That straight back, in the noon sun, was dazzling, even more attractive than the sun itself.
A mist of water rose in Mila's sky-blue eyes, revealing a charming smile. She followed his back with light steps.
Ellie rubbed her eyes, her heart pounding, pouted, and muttered, "The wind is really terrible today... saying something like that out of the blue, Henry is really cunning!"
Ellie thought, 'We could have saved the world in our past lives, so we are lucky to meet Henry.'
Henry had no idea that his unconscious words had captivated two lady orcs.
Indeed, if the children of Eldoria, who orc teachers taught, still discriminated against orcs when they went out or worked in the future, Henry didn't mind bringing about their destruction.
There was only the sound of Henry's footsteps along the way. A faint fragrance came from both sides, and a subtle warmth circulated among the three.
Soon, the three arrived at the study. Henry sat at the desk and saw Ellie staring at him with wide eyes.
"Alright, I'll give it to you right away." Henry chuckled and shook his head, opening the bottom drawer of the desk and taking out a box of lollipops.
Mila's perky butt was still on the desk; her head tilted as she looked at the exquisite box and the intricate patterns. She immediately knew that this was something only available in Henry's hometown.
"Give it to me!" Ellie's brown eyes stared at the exquisite box, eagerly exclaiming, "Henry, give it to me; I want it!"
She also recognized what it was, something from Henry's hometown, and it was very precious.
"Here you go!" Henry handed over the box, "Don't eat too many; remember to brush your teeth at night."
"Okay!" Ellie nodded repeatedly, but Henry seriously doubted whether she had listened.
"What a beautiful box!" Ellie held the box in her hands; looking at the exquisite packaging, she felt her heart melting.
Ellie carefully held it, looked up, and asked, "Henry, what is this?"
Henry propped his chin and said, "Lollipop, the lollipop from my hometown!"
Ellie was stunned, staring foolishly at the exquisite box, her breath quickening, "Henry! Is this really a lollipop? Such a beautiful lollipop?"
"Of course, you can open it and take a look." Henry nodded. The lollipop packaging was designed to attract girls, so it was naturally beautiful.
"Great!"
Ellie was a little nervous. She carefully opened the box. Inside were small boxes with transparent parts on top, revealing the colorful lollipops inside.
"Is this really a lollipop? It's so beautiful! Completely different from the lollipops outside." Ellie felt her breath slow down, carefully holding the lollipops.
Henry smiled bitterly. How could it be the same? The lollipops of this era were made of wheat flour, dried fruits, and sugar powder. You could imagine what they looked like. They were completely incomparable to the lollipops on Earth.
