Chapter 125 The Money-making Machine

Henry looked at Willow, who was busy packing, then turned to Wyatt and said, "Uncle Wyatt, I entrust Eldoria to you in my absence."
"Let me go instead, Henry!" Wyatt insisted.
The three women had just been persuading, so Wyatt didn't want to interrupt. Now, Henry was asking him, a former knight, to stay and guard the home. It was a sign of great trust, but wasn't a knight supposed to be at the forefront of his master?
"Eldoria is my foundation. Nothing can go wrong here. Uncle Wyatt, you are one of the most trusted people and knights. I trust you," Henry said earnestly.
Wyatt was an experienced knight who had served in the royal knight order. Even if he had a broken leg, Henry valued his leadership skills, which were essential for protecting the home.
Wyatt realized that it was true. Apart from Henry, only his experience could barely manage the security of a city. His sons were too young and capable of leading troops, but they were still inexperienced in management. As for Miss Ellie, she only knew how to handle internal affairs.
"So, Henry, how many soldiers will you take with you?"
Since he couldn't go, Wyatt asked the most important question.
"I'll take half of them. We're just going for an ambush. That should be enough," Henry said with a slight smile, thinking of the bandit's plan. "They would never expect us to intercept the message, right?"
It had been four days since Riley delivered the bandit's message. It would take three days for Baron Omar's Solanis to reach Eldoria, making it a six-day round trip.
Perhaps Baron Omar was still thinking that Riley was on his way back to Solanis.
It took four days for Hyratos to come and go from Eldoria. So, two days later would be the time for the bandits to attack, exactly six days later. By the time Omar realized something was wrong, it would be too late.
Henry had calculated everything. He wanted to catch them off guard, to kill two birds with one stone. Reputation was the best way to attract refugees, and then it was time to show their strength.
"Henry, taking only half of the soldiers is too few," Wyatt became anxious. The fifty soldiers were no match for the five hundred bandits.
"The War Wolf Battle Squad will also accompany me. You don't have to worry about my safety."
Henry chuckled, "Besides, this time, I will bring the entire army crossbows. Even with half the people, we can still suppress any troublemakers. Anyone who dares to cause trouble, I'll have them killed."
"And while I'm in Hyratos, it will be time for the wheat to be harvested. You still need to organize people to harvest the wheat and be on guard."
"Yes!" Wyatt was convinced. Henry had thought of everything. Considering Henry's strength, ordinary people couldn't harm him, not to mention Miss Mila with him.
"Go! Load the military supplies onto the ship and depart at three o'clock in the afternoon," Henry waved his hand.
"Yes!"
Wyatt saluted, then quickly walked out. He had to take care of the logistics, select the soldiers, and remind his sons. Henry's safety was the most important.
"Henry, the Garden Eatery is opening at noon. Should we postpone the opening until after you return from Hyratos?" Ellie softly suggested. Her current state of mind was similar to when she was worried about Mila going out to find food, but now her concern was for Henry.
"Well, let's postpone it!" Henry nodded. These were all minor matters. He said to Ellie seriously, "The most important things in the market now are salt and wheat. One must have a Social Security Card to buy a large quantity. Without Social Security Card, you can only buy a small amount."
"I got it. I won't allow those merchants to buy in bulk," Ellie nodded. She knew the importance of these two things, and they were the foundation of Eldoria's stability.
"Before leaving, I will intimidate them a bit, and I believe it will make them behave cautiously for a few days," Henry's eyes flickered. He knew how dangerous merchants could be. Some people would even sell their own country for money, and he had to be careful.
"If they dare to reach out, I'll cut them down," Ellie said fiercely, but her appearance was still cute.
"It's just a precaution; you don't need to worry too much."
Henry said in a deep voice, "Everything they demand, you should suppress it, everything will be discussed when I come back, at most five days, I will be back."
"I got it!" Ellie nodded.
Apart from Henry, Ellie was the only one in Eldoria with the ability to handle internal affairs, and Vincent counted as half.
In fact, what really worried Henry was the wheat harvest. Two days later was the day of the wheat harvest, and by then, he should have just arrived in Hyratos, preparing to participate in the battle to wipe out the bandits.
They could only rely on this wheat in the winter, or he could bring back a few more ships of wheat from Hyratos so that wine could be brewed, and the money-making machine — perfume also needed alcohol.
The greenhouse vegetables had to be started as well. With vegetables in winter, he believed that the nobles in other cities would go crazy. Unfortunately, the plastic film brought from Earth was limited, and there was no way to plant a large amount unless they could find something to replace the plastic film.
Henry had thought of a substitute, something that people of this era could also make, but it could only be put off until next year. There was no time left this year.
"And the steel furnace, don't stop the work at the coal mine. Let them continue to mine and smelt iron. The demand for steel will multiply next year," Henry reminded.
"Okay!"
Ellie nodded, looking at Henry in a daze. She now felt that Henry was a bit like Mila, nagging before going out, but it was very reassuring.
"Henry, you should get ready," Mila reminded from the side, "You need a weapon and sturdy armor."
"Yes, let's go to the private warehouse."
Henry got up and walked out. His previous preparations could now come in handy.
Ellie followed behind, grabbed Mila, and opened her mouth, but no sound came out.
"Protect Henry and make sure he comes back safely!!!" Ellie spoke silently.
Mila understood in a second. It was these words, just like when she went out, Ellie reminded her.
"Don't worry, leave it to me!"
Mila also responded silently, whoever dies, Henry won't die. Their hope is all on Henry.
"You two, hurry up and catch up." Henry's voice came from the front.
"Yes!"
