Chapter 51 The Grand Bazaar in the Other World
"Today, there is one last thing to announce." Henry's calm and resolute voice quieted the excited crowd.
Mila's heart clenched, fearing she might witness Henry's embarrassment, which would be unbearable for her.
But in the next moment, Henry patted Mila's shoulder and pulled her forward, proclaiming, "From today, the official department will establish a superstore and recruit a group of orcs, like my assistant Mila, to work alongside you."
"What is a superstore?"
Someone in the crowd exclaimed, "Are they all as beautiful as Miss Mila?"
"No way! Can there be orcs as beautiful as Miss Mila?"
"Henry is truly a kind noble, so compassionate."
"What do orcs look like? I've only seen Miss Mila; are the others as beautiful?"
"It's our fault for working too slowly; we must not lose to the orcs."
Mila was stunned, and Wyatt was bewildered. The reactions were completely different from what they had imagined. The commoners were not aggressive or discriminatory towards orcs.
In a corner of the crowd, a group of orcs wrapped in burlap stood. Ellie covered her mouth, tears streaming down. The indifferent response of the commoners was completely unexpected.
Gabriel, standing off to the side, scratched his head in confusion. He quietly tossed the wooden stick he was holding into a corner.
"Ellie, what should we do now?" Gabriel asked cautiously, seeing the leader cry for the first time while the other orcs were well-behaved.
Ellie said, "Let's go; it's time for us to respond to Lord Henry." Ellie wiped away a tear, her eyes red-rimmed, and a heart-stirring smile appearing on her face.
"Yes!" Gabriel replied.
Ellie led the way, with Gabriel by her side, and the orcs all threw off the burlap on their heads and walked towards the platform.
"Fox tribe orc Ellie, willing to serve Lord Henry," Ellie said, her voice crisp and firm, as she knelt on one knee.
"Bull tribe orc Gabriel, willing to serve Lord Henry," Gabriel roared, and the other orcs followed suit.
"Rise, all of you, from this moment on, you are my subjects," Henry said gently.
Ellie and Gabriel replied, "Yes, my lord!"
The commoners looked curiously at Ellie and the others, then began to whisper among themselves.
"Wow! Miss Ellie is so cute."
"That big-eared pig tribe orc, those ears don't look like a pig's."
Such comments actually calmed the anxious orcs; the commoners here were different from what they had seen before.
"Everyone, go to work; the superstore will open in three days, and you can buy wheat and other supplies there," Henry's calm and powerful voice sounded.
The commoners needed to understand the big market, and they knew what it was as long as they knew they could buy wheat there.
The commoners obediently dispersed; they had to go to work, the days of winter were not far away, and they had to hurry to build new houses.
Henry turned to Wyatt and said, "Take Ellie's companions down and follow the requirements I gave them earlier; they only have three days to learn."
What Henry meant by learning was how to become a supermarket salesperson or a server.
"Understood!" Wyatt nodded and took away all the orcs except Ellie and Gabriel.
The group quickly returned to the castle and sat in the council chamber. Mila couldn't help but ask, "Henry, how did you do it? Those people don't discriminate against us orcs."
Henry crossed his hands in front of his chest and chuckled, "What do you think Eldoria is like?"
"Poor!" Mila said.
"Remote, with few outsiders," Ellie thought for a moment and added, "They are very simple!"
"Henry, please continue!" Mila urged.
"You're right; Eldoria is remote and barren; the ordinary commoners are not even full, let alone have time to pay attention to orcs, not even time to listen to rumors; that is to say, the people of Eldoria only know that there are orcs, but they have rarely seen orcs, let alone brainwashed to discriminate against orcs."
Henry had done his research; even the commoners who rarely went out of Eldoria, who had heard bad things about orcs?
Only people like Vincent and Wyatt, who had gone out for experience, would worry about the good and bad of orcs.
"So that's how it is," Mila understood.
Gabriel, on the side, quickly thought of Audrey, the human girl who had been kind to him.
"You were the one who rushed in from the window that day, right?" Henry looked at Gabriel and chuckled, "You should be pretty good; go join the army!"
This topic was brought up, and Ellie's face turned as red as the oil injected from inside a transparent glass rising from her neck.
Mila also blushed; if Ellie hadn't reminded her, she would have thought of something else.
"Can I bring a few companions with me?" Gabriel asked nervously.
"Yes, all male orcs who want to join the army can go, except for female orcs," Henry affirmed.
Gabriel said, "Good! I will join the army and kill the enemy for you, my lord."
Gabriel straightened his chest and silently thought, 'I will go see Audrey in the future, and I will treat her well when I become powerful!'
Henry said, "Go ahead!"
Henry had someone take Gabriel to the military camp; the heavy cavalry and infantry had a place, and the orcs, who were stronger than humans, were the best source of troops.
