Chapter 58 Brandon Arrived Early

When Henry returned to the castle with Mila and Ellie, it was already evening, and they had their lunch at the military camp.
After watching the Training of the War Wolf Battle Squad and observing the cavalry's practice, the day it was passed quickly.
"Henry, here's the situation in town today," Wyatt approached Henry and handed him a document.
"Oh? Is there something unusual?" Henry raised an eyebrow inquiringly.
Wyatt only handed documents to Henry in exceptional circumstances.
After taking the document, Henry quickly scanned through it and found a report stating that several unidentified individuals had appeared in town, and Vincent's grandson, Victor, had even mentioned human traffickers.
This was Henry's simple source of intelligence gathering, where he had some people keep an eye on any changes or anomalies in the town and report back.
Usually, Henry treated this as gossip to exercise his analytical skills. Wyatt, upon knowing this, was also very interested, so Henry entrusted this matter entirely to Wyatt for management.
"Do you know who they are?" Henry closed the document and asked with interest.
If people arriving in Eldoria during this period were not dressed as commoners, the possibilities narrowed down significantly.
"They disguised themselves," Wyatt said solemnly.
After learning about the situation, he had specifically sent people to observe but failed to recognize the individuals.
"Let's not bother with them. If they are coming for us, they will appear soon," Henry chuckled. "And I have a feeling we will meet them soon."
Mila blinked, looking a bit puzzled at Henry, her ears twitching. She didn't understand the implications of his words.
"Henry, who do you suspect?" Ellie's eyes darted, and her sharp mind immediately caught a different meaning from Henry's words.
"Who have we recently offended?" Henry instructed someone to set up dinner and continued, "Eldoria changes every day, so who would be most interested in this place?"
"We recently hanged a few grain merchants of Baron Omar," Mila raised her hand, speaking and then proudly swaying Ellie's raised tail.
Ellie covered her buttocks, slightly blushing, and frowned, "The person most interested in Eldoria? Could it be that nobleman named Carter?"
"Yes, it's him; Carter sold his lands and title to Henry. It's clear to everyone that he must have ill intentions and some conspiracy; it's only natural for him to pay attention to Eldoria," Ellie analyzed wisely.
Ellie's eyes shimmered with a wise light as she analyzed many things. "So, coming back to Eldoria now, it's almost certainly Carter. Seeing the changes in Eldoria, he definitely won't be able to sit still."
"Well done!" Henry lightly tapped Ellie's fox ears in praise. "I'll add an extra portion of Roasted Vegetable Salad for you later," Henry said.
"Really?" Ellie asked.
Ellie's eyes sparkled as if she had stars in them.
"Yes," Henry replied.
Henry would definitely nod in agreement. Both of his beast-eared girls have their favorite foods. Mila, for example, loves porridge, especially finely cooked grits.
On the other hand, Ellie's absolute favorite is Roasted Vegetable Salad, and she prefers it sweet—the sweeter, the better. She would say something like, "The days were so bitter before; now I want to make up for it by eating more sweet things."
Consuming too much sugar at once can be a significant burden on the body, so Henry always limits Ellie's intake to a certain amount.
Mila asked, "Henry, what about me? I want extra portion, too." Mila reached out and gently placed her hand on Ellie's head, looking at Henry with hopeful eyes.
"You can have as much as you want," Henry sighed. Mila seemed to be getting clingier; was it because of Ellie's presence, providing a contrast, or was it her cat genes?
"I just want two portions," Mila said, then rubbed against Ellie in front of her.
"Mila, you've gained weight again," Ellie escaped from Mila's clutches, looking at her heavy bosom and complaining, "You definitely did it on purpose earlier."
"Ellie, don't be so petty," Mila smirked, glancing at Ellie's flat chest, "Or are you envious?"
"You, you..." Ellie pouted, "Mila, you're definitely a mutant cat girl."
"A mutant? Sounds pretty good," Mila said, shaking her body.
Ellie exclaimed, "Watch out! Here comes the Eighteen Scratch Attack to defeat the cat." With a few playful yowls, Ellie charged towards Mila.
Mila replied, "You're such a weirdo!" Mila jumped up in a flustered manner and ran off into the distance.
"Don't run; I still have seventeen moves left," Ellie grabbed a fluffy feather from somewhere and chased after Mila, making strange noises.
Henry smiled at the two girls playing around and couldn't help but shrug. "Youth is wonderful; no, it's having a catgirl and a fox-eared girl that makes youth truly special."
Incidents like today happened once or twice every day. Mila and Ellie never tired of it; perhaps they were making up for a childhood they never had before.
When Henry entered the dining hall, Mila and Ellie sat at the table, eagerly eyeing the dishes.
"Welcome back, Henry," Willow smiled and pulled out a chair for him.
"Willow, you seem to be in a good mood today," Henry curiously remarked.
Willow just shook her head; she couldn't say that doing what she loved put her in a good mood naturally.
Henry didn't press further and called out, "Let's eat!"
"Wow!" Mila immediately grabbed her bowl of porridge, took a spoonful, and closed her eyes in delight, her tail wagging back and forth.
Ellie said, "Mila, your tail is making me so itchy." Holding the Roasted Vegetable Salad, Ellie clumsily tried to pick up the egg with a fork. Just as she managed to do so, she shivered, and the egg fell back onto the plate.
"Eat quickly, or I'll steal your Roasted Vegetable Salad." Mila licked her lips.
"You dare!" Ellie got anxious and ran to the other side of Henry with her Roasted Vegetable Salad.
She knew that Mila was true to her word, as she often stole food from Mila as well.
Henry understood that this was a sign of their strong bond; after all, things tasted better when you had to fight for them.
"Henry, Brandon from Hyratos is here," Wyatt reported quietly.
Henry said, "Oh? It hasn't even been five days yet? Looks like someone is really in a hurry."
With a slight smirk, Henry added, "Invite him over; let's set an extra place at the table."
Wyatt replied, "Okay!"
