Chapter 133 The Hyratos Gate Broken

It was noon!

The bandits had finally reached the territory of Hyratos and were currently resting in a nearby forest.

"Have the remaining knights of Baron Carter not arrived?" the bandit leader asked, his eyes gleaming with malice.

"No! This is the agreed meeting point." The second-in-command replied coldly.

"They are really brave, not afraid of the consequences."

The bandit leader sneered, looking at the other bandits. "They are the people that Carter didn't take with him. Let's find an opportunity to get rid of them. We can divide the spoils among ourselves."

"Okay!" the second-in-command replied with a cold smile. "Leave it to me!"

"Good. Let's get started. Let's take Hyratos before nightfall and have our way with the noble women inside." The bandit leader shouted.

The bandits laughed wickedly, their eyes filled with bloodlust and lewdness.

Over a hundred bandits mounted their horses, drew their swords, and gathered together, waiting for the three hundred bandit archers behind them.

Tess, among the orcs, saw the bandits gathering, and her purple eyes lit up with joy. This was a good opportunity to escape.

"Leave thirty men to watch the orcs. Anyone who dares to move, kill them." the bandit leader ordered.

Tess's body tensed up, and she gnashed he teeth. Why leave people behind? Everyone should be looting!

"Yes!"

Five bandit archers immediately took their positions, their eyes fixed on the orcs, making them restless, afraid that they would be attacked at any moment.

The bandit leader looked at the agitated orcs, a cold light flashing in his eyes. He whispered to the second-in-command. "Make arrangements. After we take Hyratos, half of these orcs are killed, and the rest are driven to Hyratos."

"No problem!" the second-in-command replied, casting a malicious glance at the orcs.

When Tess saw this, her body stiffened. The bandit's cold gaze was similar to the one her sister had when hunting beasts, and it meant death for the beasts.

"No, I must escape." Tess's purple eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for an opportunity.

After whispering to a few bandit archers, the bandit leader returned to his horse, raised his hand, and shouted, "Let's go! Target Hyratos and take everything!"

The bandits, led by the bandit leader, spurred their horses and brandished their swords.

The warhorses neighed and galloped, their bodies low, following the undulating terrain.
In an instant, they burst out of the forest and charged towards Hyratos, not far away. Behind them, three hundred bandit archers chased after them, fearing they would miss out on the loot.

The commotion immediately woke up the Lord of Hyratos, who was still on the city wall. He widened his eyes as if they were about to pop out.

"Enemy attack! The bandits are coming!" The shrill voice of the Lord of Hyratos rang out.

Even without his reminder, the sound of over a hundred galloping horses could be heard from afar, making the temporary militia recruited by Hyratos nervous, their hands trembling as they held the longbows bought from Eldoria.

Except for a dozen knights, these militiamen had not been trained for more than a few days. It was already good enough that they could stand calmly on the city wall.

In this era, the walls of cities at the level of baron and viscount were low, not exceeding 19 or 23 feet, and most of them were earthen walls.

Just like Hyratos, even though it was a bustling city, the Lord of Hyratos was reluctant to spend gold coins on maintenance, and the height of the city wall was only about 23 feet, with some places even cracked.

But it was enough to hold off the bandits for a while, so the Lord of Hyratos was not too nervous. At least he was relatively calm in encouraging the people.

"As long as we solve these bandits, each person will be rewarded with fifty... each person will be rewarded with one hundred copper coins."

The Lord of Hyratos shouted, "And the reinforcements from Eldoria are on their way and will be here soon."

This sentence slightly boosted everyone's morale. It was really too little for Hyratos to offer a hundred copper coins. It was only one hundred copper coins for everyone to risk their lives, equivalent to two month's salary, which did not inspire a blood-boiling impulse.

The bandits stopped 656 feet away from Hyratos, frowning and looking at the tightly closed city gate.

"What's going on?" the bandit leader said coldly. "With Hyratos' ability, there's no way they could have set up defenses in just a minute."

"Maybe the information was leaked. Don't forget, that old man Carter hasn't arrived yet." The second-in-command said, his eyes full of wise light.

It's no wonder he would think so. Only a few people knew the whole robbery plan, and even the bandits in their group only found out about the operation plan yesterday.

"Damn! I'll take down Hyratos first, and I won't rest until I kill that old man." The bandit leader roared.

Originally, they could have taken Hyratos immediately, but now that things had gone awry, it was natural for him to be angry.

"Don't be angry. Don't we still have a backup plan?" The second-in-command said coldly. "Let them do it. It's better late than never."

"Baron Omar has thought it thoroughly!"

The bandit leader nodded, waved his hand at the surrounding bandits, and shouted.

The next second, more than four hundred bandits followed suit, and the sound spread far and wide.

On the city wall, the Lord of Hyratos' face was contorted. What were these bandits up to?

The next second, his face changed.

"Kill! Open the city gate!"

More than twenty people ran out of Hyratos, holding long swords and wooden spears, and charged at the city gate.

There were only seven or eight militiamen guarding the city gate, and most of the militiamen were on the city wall, too late to support.

Just as they collided, how could these militiamen be a match for the bandits? They were quickly killed.

The city gate was immediately opened.
