Chapter 138 I Want to Follow You

"Let's go right now." Henry said in a deep voice.

As long as they captured the fleeing bandits, the threat of banditry in Eldoria would be eliminated.

After all, Eldoria had demonstrated its strength this time, and Henry believed that no sensible bandit would provoke Eldoria. As for whether other cities would be attacked by bandits, it was not his concern, nor did he want to manage.

"I'm going too!" Tess raised her hand and shouted, following along eagerly.

Henry turned to look at this bovine orc and said softly, "You'll be safer with the others."

"No!" Tess turned her head and glanced at the crouching orcs, her face full of dissatisfaction. She had risked her life to warn everyone just now, but no one had responded.

She turned back and said seriously, "You saved me. You're a good person, and I want to follow you."

Tess had always relied on her instincts, just like when she ran away from home in disguise as a man. Sometimes, her instincts seemed unreliable, but she had always managed to get through dangerous situations unscathed. This time was no different. All the bandits who had tried to harm her were now dead.

Of course, the main reason was what Henry had just said, that he could grant freedom to the orcs. It had struck a chord with Tess, who didn't like being constrained. The reason she wanted to leave her tribe was that her older sister had been strict with her.

In essence, Tess was just a rebellious teenage girl, throwing a tantrum and running away from home. After a series of adventures, meeting Henry had made her feel a sense of security.

"No, it's too dangerous!" Henry refused outright.

But as he took a few steps forward, he stopped after a dozen or so steps and turned to look at Tess, who was silently following him. He said helplessly, "It's really dangerous. I won't be able to take care of you."

"I don't need you to take care of me. I'm strong enough. Those bandits are no match for me." Tess said, clenching her fist and raising her slender arm.

Henry's mouth twitched. Had she already forgotten the danger she had just faced?

"Wait a minute!" Tess saw Henry's disbelief and picked up a short knife that one of the bandits had used. She walked over to a tree as thick as a thigh and started hacking at it with the knife.

Henry sighed helplessly. This orc seemed even more stupid now. What was she trying to prove by chopping a tree with a knife? Shall she manifest the magnitude of her strength?

"Get out of the way!"

Henry unsheathed his sword and drove Tess away. He split the tree, and after three or four strikes, the tree fell.

"Now I have this. Those bandits don't have a chance against me." Tess said, picking up the tree and hoisting it onto her shoulder. She walked towards the edge of the forest. "I'll show you!"

"Using a tree as a weapon?"

Henry realized that the bovine orc was casually carrying a 9.8-feet-long tree with all its branches and leaves still intact. Her strength was truly terrifying.

Outside the forest, the direction of Hyratos was clearly visible. At this moment, more than a hundred bandits were running towards the forest.

"Hey! Look at me!" Tess laughed lightly and charged at the bandits with the tree.

Suddenly, Henry felt a bit sorry for those bandits. If this tree hit them, they would either die or be maimed.

"Stop them all!" Henry shouted coldly, drawing his sword and rushing forward.

"Yes!"

Mila followed closely behind, and the members of the War Wolf Battle Squad split into pairs and spread out. Twelve people were facing more than a hundred enemies, and if they wanted to intimidate the other side, they had to be ruthless.

The first to confront the bandits was Tess, who held the thick tree trunk and fiercely smashed it down on the bandits, muttering all the while.

"You bastards, not only did you not give me porridge, but you also want me to work."

"After I finish working, you won't give me anything to eat, and I'll smash you to death."

What does it feel like to be hit by a tree trunk? It was like using a mop to swat a fly. Wherever Tess went, there were bandits writhing on the ground.

"To the left, to the right."

Henry's sword danced skillfully, splattering blood as one bandit after another fell. These were just ordinary bandits, not like the knights of David, each of whom could take on ten.

Mila, on the other hand, was even more ruthless. She killed all the bandits in her path, taking out the bandits that Henry had to face.

Henry shouted at the bandits. "Those who surrender will not be killed, lie on the ground with your hands on your head."

"Those who surrender will not be killed, lie on the ground with your hands on your head!" Mila and the members of the War Wolf Battle Squad immediately followed suit, and those intimidated bandits all lay on the ground, hands tightly clutching their heads.

All the bandits who didn't make this move were killed, and those bandits who were scared to death lay down as quickly as possible, afraid that they would be killed if they were late.

The cavalry that chased out from Hyratos also arrived, and they also brought dozens of bandits, all of whom were driven into a pile, too scared to move.

"Lord Henry, all the bandits are here." The cavalry saluted and reported. "Sergeant David is still in the city, clearing out those scattered bandits!"

"Very well, tie up all these bandits, then take them to the ship and lock them up." Henry nodded and ordered.

"Yes!"

There were more than a hundred live bandits, just enough to be sent to the coal mine. Winter was coming, and there was a great demand for coal. Relying on the civilians recruited before to mine coal was still not enough.

"It's finally over!" Mila flicked the blood off her sword, and she killed the most people.

"It's just the end of a phase, and the real goal has not been achieved." Henry sheathed his sword and walked towards Hyratos.

Whether or not he could bring people to Eldoria, the next step was crucial, and it was time for him to perform.

"Hey! What's your name?" Tess caught up and shouted from behind. "My name is Tess, a bovine orc."

"Henry, a nobleman, just an ordinary nobleman!" Henry raised his hand with a light smile.

"Henry? What a strange name!" Tess scratched her head and asked, "If I work for you, can I also get paid?"

"Yes! As long as you're willing to work, you'll get paid." Henry nodded affirmatively.

"I'm very strong. What kind of work can I do?" Tess asked.

Henry shrugged. "That will have to wait until you return to Eldoria, and then it's up to your own choice."

"Huh? Are there many choices?" Tess was surprised.

"Of course, everyone has the right to choose." Henry nodded with a smile.
