Chapter 79 The Witch Doctor

Henry felt a bit helpless. He just wanted to inspect the wheat harvest before preparing for it, but he didn't expect to encounter an orc.
"Is this a rabbit tribe orc?" Henry looked at Mila dragging the girl, her long ears now drooping.
"Yes, a rabbit tribe orc, but really tall." Ellie, with a lollipop in her mouth, sounded a little displeased. At her height of 4.92 feet, she looked like a child.
Ellie thought, 'Although she is cute and petite, standing next to Henry, they look like siblings. And if she never grew taller, with Henry maturing, they would look like father and daughter.'
Ellie's eyes gradually lost their luster as the words "father and daughter" echoed in her mind.
She tugged at her fox ears, trying to shake off the thought. It was too absurd, and she couldn't allow it.
Henry blinked, looking at Ellie, who suddenly seemed a bit lost, and couldn't help but smile gently, patting her head. "You're cute like this!"
Ellie's body stiffened, mechanically turning her head to Henry, pouting, "Even so, I won't envy her for being taller than me."
Willow chuckled, covering her mouth. She thought, 'Isn't that a clear expression of envy?' She remembered Ellie privately seeking advice on how to grow taller.
Mila added, "You won't envy her, just be jealous."
"You, you mutated little cat!" Ellie exploded, ready to use her cat's eighteen claws if Willow didn't stop her.
Henry shook his head with a smile, looking at the tall rabbit tribe orc in front of him. Mila, at 5.24 feet, only reached the rabbit orc's shoulder.
With pink hair and a somewhat dirty face, it was hard to tell what she really looked like. But what caught his attention the most was the orc's bandaged right arm, now a deep red.
"Hurry, take her back to the castle; her wound is still bleeding," Henry ordered quickly.
"Okay!" Mila immediately helped the orc onto the carriage and stood by, ready to act if needed.
Even though they were both orcs, she wouldn't allow anyone to harm Henry. To her, except for Ellie and the other orc companions in Eldoria, the rest were strangers. Both she and Ellie had been betrayed by orcs before; some orcs would rather be enslaved people than be hungry for freedom.
The group started their journey back to the castle, and Leo and the others immediately expanded their defense range to thousands of feet, taking care of any potential threats.
"After the mission is completed, everyone will be punished." Leo said coldly, "I hope this kind of situation won't happen again, or else you will be kicked out of the War Wolf Battle Squad by the instructor."
"I didn't anticipate that direction; I'll accept double the punishment." Number Two said, his face is dark with self-blame.
"Go back and write the report more clearly." Leo said, patting Number Two's shoulder before riding off.
They were referring to Emily's sudden appearance, with her being only about 65.6 feet away from Henry. Such a distance was dangerous in the wilderness; a single arrow could be life-threatening.
The War Wolf Battle Squad operated on the principle that if one member made a mistake, the whole team would be punished. Trust and teamwork were cultivated in this way.
Henry's safety had always been the top priority of the War Wolf Battle Squad; no one dared to be careless.
The group soon returned to the castle, and Mila and Ellie took the unconscious rabbit tribe orc to clean up and change clothes before Henry was notified to come and see.
Henry untied the bandage and immediately smelled a foul odor, his face turning serious. "This wound is infected." he said.
"Infection?" Mila frowned; it was the first time she had heard of this term.
Whenever she got injured, she just did a simple treatment, and in a few days, she would be back to her usual self.
"After she got injured, she didn't clean it properly, and she didn't rest much," Henry explained. He touched the forehead of the bunny girl and, then touched Mila's forehead, and finally patted Ellie's head. It was clear that the bunny girl had a fever.
"She has a fever; we need to cool her down. Get ready with cold towels," Henry immediately instructed. "Willow, go to my room and bring the box with the red mark on it.
"Got it!" Ellie ran to fetch water and towels.
"Understood," Willow went to get the box.
Soon, the two of them came back, and Henry immediately had Ellie wet the towel and cover the bunny girl's forehead. He instructed, "This step is to reduce the fever in the person; otherwise, it will burn the person's head, and the brain cells will die, turning the person into an idiot."
The three women nodded obediently. They didn't know what brain cells were, but as long as they remembered that a hot head was an illness called 'fever,' they knew to use a wet towel to cool it down.
Henry immediately opened the first aid kit, a deluxe version he had spent tens of thousands on.
"Give her these medicines." Henry took out anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing drugs from the box and handed them to Willow.
In this era, medicine was at a very basic level. When injured or sick, people would only seek help from shaman-like witch doctors, who would also conveniently book the funeral.
Those with strong immunity would survive, but those who were unlucky would be taken advantage of by the witch doctors, who could make money by simply performing a funeral.
