Chapter 111 Seeing as God!
"Okay, sir!" The promoter took the note and slowly scratched it off.
"First-prize?" The promoter was dumbfounded, and other salespeople were stunned.
They suspected they might be mistaken and took another look, confirming it was indeed the first prize.
"Sir, you're really lucky," the promoter managed a smile. Out of thousands of notes, he had managed to pick the first prize, and it was only the first day of the event.
"Yes, I'm quite lucky." Henry politely smiled, took the jade pendant, and left.
At the supermarket entrance, after thanking a few salespeople, Henry left with his things. He found a secluded place without surveillance cameras and stored everything in his space.
"Oh! It's already past eleven at night."
Henry checked his phone and yawned. While others' nightlife was just beginning, he was feeling a bit sleepy.
"It's time to go back."
With his hands in his pockets, Henry took slow steps, his eyes scanning the passersby. How many of them were genuinely happy, and how many were just putting on a facade?
With the high property prices, the pressure of fast-paced life, and the impetuous society, the human heart is complex and inscrutable.
He wondered how long would it take for the other world to become like this. Or was it that the human heart was never satisfied, always wanting more? Does knowledge bring complexity?
The more he thought, the further he went. Suddenly, he felt a slight tingling at the back of his head, which was like a sense of danger. Though it was faint, it still indicated harm.
"East? West? South? North?"
Henry quickly considered the four directions in his mind, trying to figure out where to go. However, the sense of danger persisted.
"So, northeast? Southwest? Southeast!!"
When his thoughts turned to the southeast, the warning sensation disappeared. Henry walked in that direction. Just a second later, a caterpillar fell from where he had just been, landing on a tree.
From the warning to Henry's reaction, it took only a second. The human brain processed information quickly, but Henry realized he could have reacted even faster.
"Does it still take a second?"
Henry looked at the wriggling caterpillar while curling his lip, subconsciously feeling that if it fell on him, it would trigger an allergic reaction.
He has had this ability since he started crossing, and it was with this ability that he saved Willow. It was also this ability that allowed him to live well in the other world for a month before obtaining the position of Lord.
Later, he had the protection of catgirl - Mila and the Wyatt family's guards, so he was never in a dangerous situation.
"It seems that I still need to practice this ability when I go back. It would be embarrassing if it is not useful when there is danger."
Henry sighed. He had been busy lately, and if it weren't for the caterpillar today, he would have been a bit complacent.
What is a warning sense? At first, Henry thought it was similar to Spider-Man's ability in Marvel- the spider sense, but after trying it, he found it was completely different.
Although the warning sense didn't have a great attack power, it was just a passive skill. In Henry's view, it was the most suitable and very powerful ability for him.
When there was danger or harm, the warning sense would give a warning about two or three seconds in advance. After Henry reacted, he could predict the next move, which was an alternative prediction, or it could be considered as the ability to predict the next one and two seconds.
As long as he didn't encounter a machine gun's all-round sweep or a nuclear bomb explosion, he could perfectly avoid it and counterattack.
If Henry used the ability to respond in one-tenth of a second, he could defeat a hundred enemies, especially in the other world. Giving him a set of armor and a long sword, he could rush into the enemy's formation and kill a hundred enemies.
This ability was too comprehensive. If it was not possible to predict what is harmful to Henry within two or three seconds, or if it was a crisis, he wanted to go and buy a lottery ticket.
Henry stepped on the caterpillar and left. He was going back to sleep, and he would find someone to practice with tomorrow.
When Henry returned home, he had something else in his hand, which was the express delivery he had just received in the security room.
He locked the door and stuffed a small piece of paper in the door crack. If anyone sneaked in, he would know just by looking at the paper on the ground.
In the bedroom, after an hour of printing, there were mess of information papers on the floor. Henry pursed his lips again, gathered the papers, and put them into the space.
Originally, he didn't want to use paper to print the information, but wanted to store it in electronic products. But then he thought, if there is a problem with the electronic products, that would be a big difficult, so he had two strings to his bow.
He couldn't swipe on his phone and then copy it with a pen, with drawings as a cover, and others won't feel too strange.
Put up another stack of paper, lock the bedroom door, put a chair on top, and then the whole person disappears in the bedroom, leaving the printer in the office.
The next, he appeared in the secret room. Henry decided that the next time he moved, he would also make a secret room on Earth; of course, this had to wait for him to confirm that there were really ginseng, and then sell the ginseng to do it.
"I'm back, and I feel like my body is full of energy."
Henry felt as if the invisible shackles on his body had been removed, or it was just a psychological effect.
After taking out the drawings in the space, he locked them in an iron cabinet and put a few books bought from the supermarket on the bookshelf, then entered the twelve-digit password, opened the door with the key, and left the secret room.
Close the cabinet door, no one in the room, the warning sense did not work, Henry took out everything in the space and put them on the table.
Tomorrow, Willow would secretly move to a private warehouse; she never asks where these things come from, as if she didn't see it, just being helpful.
Henry also tried to ask a few women, if they didn't curious about where the things came from? These women just smiled and said, "Henry, everyone has their own secrets, you are sent by God to save us, so no matter how amazing you are, it is reasonable!"
This made Henry not know how to respond, and they all regarded him as a god.
Was it ancient feudal superstition? Or attributing all the unknown to the god?
None of it matters; they considered him as the only god was enough.
