Chapter 59 I Have Tasted the Cuisine of Royal City

Brandon had arrived, seeking an audience with Henry immediately after disembarking the ship, given that they didn't have much time left in Hyratos.
Upon seeing Henry, Brandon wanted to speak, but seeing others at the table, he awkwardly remained silent.
Brandon looked at Mila and Ellie in surprise, unable to understand why Henry, as a noble, allowed two orcs to dine with them.
Although the orcs were beautiful, dressed better than him, and had impeccable table manners. Brandon still felt they didn't deserve to dine with nobles.
"Mr. Brandon, please have a seat and enjoy the meal," Henry said.
Henry also noticed Brandon's reaction. In this era, nobles held a disdainful view of orcs. No matter how outstanding or beautiful an orc might be, they were still considered inferior, even more so than commoners.
Mila and Ellie paid no mind to the contempt in Brandon's eyes and focused on their food. The opinions of other nobles meant nothing to them.
They only cared about Henry's opinion, so in the presence of others, they were no longer casual with their dining, not wanting to embarrass Henry.
Brandon stammered. He wanted to refuse, but he found himself sitting at the table, watching Henry and the others use a knife and fork to pick up their food. He tried to imitate them, but he was clumsier than a three-year-old child.
Brandon's face turned red with embarrassment. He couldn't even match the orcs in something as simple as using the knife and fork.
Brandon picked up the knife and fork, disregarding the novelty of the knife and fork as a dining method.
Steaks, Grilled Pork Ribs, Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches, and so on. Brandon had never heard of these, let alone tasted them.
Brandon cast aside the notions of not dining with or looking down upon orcs.
He was lost in the thought that if he could eat such delicious food every day, he would be willing to stand while eating and let the beasts sit down.
Brandon's current appearance was even more pitiful than when he had his first pastry. After he finished eating, he saw Henry, Mila, Ellie, and Willow staring at him in astonishment.
"The meal at Lord Henry's house is truly delicious," Brandon said, using the napkin to wipe away the grease from his mouth. To his horror, he found a piece of food stuck to his face.
Was he walking around with a leaf stuck to his face?
Feeling embarrassed and completely devoid of any noble demeanor, Brandon blushed deeply. He thought he had been terribly rude, worse than those crass merchants.
Mila and Ellie sneered. They felt that most nobles were nothing but a joke.
"Mr. Brandon, it's quite unexpected that you could return so soon," Henry said calmly.
Brandon's behavior made Henry think of a certain animal with big ears that he had seen before.
Dessert was soon served, a delicate slice of layered cake for each person.
Brandon swallowed hard, trying to tear his gaze away from the cake. He stammered, "I want to ... to get the fur... no, no... I mean to bring Lord Henry's cattle and sheep earlier."
The temptation of the food made him yell out his true thoughts, skipping any form of subtlety.
After speaking, Brandon took a spoon and scooped out a large portion of the cake, stuffing it into his mouth and making his cheeks bulge like a watermelon.
One piece of cake was devoured in two bites by Brandon, who then licked the plate. It was a sight that made Henry twitch, and he glanced at Willow.
Willow nodded in understanding. This plate was no longer usable. She decided to throw away those utensils that Brandon had used; it was just too disgusting.
Only after finishing did Brandon, in a belated realization, look up and see Henry and the others staring at him, especially noticing that the others had only taken a few bites of their cakes.

Brandon felt the weight of embarrassment settles heavily upon him. He swallowed hard, the sound clear yet muffled, effectively dampening the appetites of Henry and the others at the table.
"Mr. Brandon, the cattle and horses will be handed over tomorrow, and I have prepared a lot of hides. You will be able to purchase many of them tomorrow," Henry said, raising an eyebrow and handing the small spoon to Willow.
"Okay, okay," Willow replied.
Brandon quickly stood up, and his bulky body accidentally knocked into the plate, causing it to fall to the ground with a loud crash.
Brandon's face turned even redder. Today, he had truly embarrassed himself, going to a noble's house for a meal and breaking their plate.
"It's alright, Mr. Brandon must be very tired. Wyatt, please see our guest out," Henry said with a faint smile.
Brandon followed Wyatt out of the castle, his mind in a complete daze.
Brandon muttered, "I've had so many delicious meal in my life. I've had my fair share of delicacies, even in the Royal City. Why did I lose control today?"
"What's wrong? It's happened twice now. Am I just a country bumpkin? That's impossible, right?"
"No, it's that Lord Henry's food is too delicious. Only the food from his home makes me lose control like this. But it shouldn't be. I am someone who has tasted the delicacies of the Royal City."
"It's as if it's poisonous. I go crazy as soon as I start eating, just like a mad dog. It's really embarrassing, but why do I still want to eat it?"
The guards carrying Brandon heard him muttering these words all the way, with the most frequent mention being the irresistible food at Lord Henry's house.
