Chapter 161 The Touching Silly Rabbit
Henry understood the situation after Emily telling. The burden on the Bunny Girl's shoulders was the legacy of her parents, a responsibility passed down before their death.
The weight of this responsibility seemed to overwhelm Emily, a young Bunny Girl of sixteen or seventeen, who tasked with leading the tribe of orcs to the south.
Henry turned to look at Ellie and Mila, the two beast girls who had once carried the weight of a team.
Mila and Ellie noticed Henry's gaze and smiled at each other, finding solace in his presence.
Their lives had become carefree, no longer burdened by worries, enjoying their days with food, fun, and activities they loved.
"Sir, I would like to bring the tribe of orcs to Eldoria. Would you be willing to accommodate them?" Emily suddenly stood up, her long rabbit ears drooping.
Henry, after a moment of silence, looked at Emily and said, "Emily, I am more than willing to accommodate them as long as they are willing to work."
"Thank you, sir," Emily said, her eyes glistening with gratitude. She had initially doubted Henry's intentions, wondering if he was deceiving the orcs, but she had come to realize that not all humans were as her parents had described. Henry was different, genuinely willing to help the orcs.
Now, Emily spent her days happily in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals, and then went to school to teach. Before class, she read a passage from "The Lord of the Rings," written by Henry, and then taught the human children how to read, earning the title of "Teacher Emily." She was so happy.
At noon, she returned to the castle and enjoy a meal prepared by Willow, the happiest part of her day, with Mila and Ellie playfully fighting over food, and Henry occasionally joining in.
In the afternoon, she continued her classes, and after school, she would sometimes wander around Eldoria with Ellie, buying hamburgers and lollipops.
In the evening, she occasionally listened to Henry's lectures with Ellie or watched him work in his study.
These were perhaps the happiest days of her life, and she wanted to immerse herself in this kind of life forever. However, she had not forgotten her original intention. She had come to experience life and see if Eldoria truly accepted the orcs and if they could survive here.
After a few days, Emily found the answers she was looking for. Eldoria was willing to accept the orcs and could provide a home for them. So, she couldn't stay immersed in this happiness; she had to go back and bring her tribe to Eldoria.
After all, winter was approaching, and last year's tragedy must not be repeated.
"You don't have to thank me. I would be happy to welcome any orcs to Eldoria," Henry said gently.
It would be a good thing if the orcs from Emily's tribe joined Eldoria for him. Eldoria needed more people, regardless of their race.
Moreover, if the orcs from Emily's tribe joined Eldoria, her burden would be on themselves. They would have to work hard to support themselves and not rely on the so-called tribal leaders for everything.
"One last question," Henry's dark eyes flickered as he asked, "Emily, are you really sure that your people will be willing to follow you? Are they willing to come to Eldoria?"
Emily was taken aback, then nodded seriously. "They will follow me."
Henry fell silent for a moment and then said gently, "So, when do you plan to leave?"
"I will leave for the tribe tomorrow and tell them the good news," Emily said with a smile, her eyes filled with anticipation, imagining the excited reaction of the orcs when they heard the news.
"What? You're going alone to the Azure Peak Range?" Ellie exclaimed. "Are you out of your mind? What nonsense are you talking about? You know how dangerous the Azure Peak Range is. Foolish bunny, you go in there alone that was seeking death."
"I..." Emily was at a loss for words. With her abilities, it would be very difficult for her to return to the tribe alive.
"I'll have the members of the War Wolf Battle Squad take you," Henry said softly.
"My lord, it's not necessary. I can go alone," Emily said, a little panicked, waving her hand. "I don't want the tribe to misunderstand."
Henry furrowed his brow, quickly realizing why. If Emily brought the War Wolf Battle Squad to the tribe, no one would believe her. They would only think that Emily had brought humans to capture the orcs and enslave them.
"Henry, let me take Emily," Mila said softly.
She had lived in the Azure Peak Range before, and with her current abilities, as long as she didn't encounter a large group of beasts, she would be completely safe.
"No, Mila can't go. You still need to protect the safety of the Henry," Emily was the first to disagree.
"I can protect Henry!" Tess said, "But I need a weapon."
Emily blinked and looked at Henry, unable to make up her mind.
Henry turned to look at Mila and said seriously, "Is there any danger?"
"None!" Mila shrugged, "The Azure Peak Range is completely safe for me as long as I don't enter the inner circle."
Ellie, supporting her chin, pondered, "With Mila's abilities, it's indeed safe if she's just taking the silly bunny."
She was the one who knew Mila the best, having been with her for the past few years, and they had initially lived together in the Azure Peak Range for a while.
"I'll have the War Wolf Battle Squad escort you for a while," Henry finally decided to let them go there.
"Thank you so much, everyone," Emily bowed deeply, her rabbit ears drooping.
"You may be a silly bunny, but you're our friend," Ellie exclaimed, rolling her eyes. "Friends help each other. Do we need any more reasons?"
"Yes!" Mila nodded.
Tears glistened in Emily's eyes as she wiped them away and nodded heavily.
She wanted to continue living in the castle, eating the delicious food Willow made, going shopping with Ellie, learning self-defense techniques from Mila, and reading the books written by Henry.
