Chapter 134 The Beginning of the Assassination Plan

"What's that sound?" Henry had just disembarked from the ship when he heard the distant wailing and howling.

"I have no idea! But there are probably over four hundred people!" Mila's cat ears twitched.

"Oh? Over four hundred? The bandits must have started their attack on Hyratos."
Henry nodded, pulling up his sleeve to check the time. It was already past one in the afternoon, and it seemed the bandits were indeed attacking Hyratos.

Two figures on horseback came galloping towards Henry, stopping just about 16 feet away before dismounting. It was the member of the War Wolf Battle Squad that had gone ahead to scout with Leo and Number Two. Leo respectfully reported, "My lord, the bandits have already begun their attack on Hyratos. There are also around fifty bandits in the forest outside the city, along with over four hundred slaves."

"Prepare for the mission!" Henry's words were met with everyone straightening their chests, awaiting his orders.

"David and Charles, take our men and enter from the dock to support Hyratos. Use the crossbows to suppress the bandits and capture anyone who surrenders. I want them to mine until they drop." Henry's face was stern.

"Yes!" David and Charles both saluted.

"Go! I'll lead the War Wolf Battle Squad to cut off their retreat!" Henry waved his hand.

"No, Henry, it's too dangerous. Let me handle the ambush." Charles was anxious. With their equipment, killing the fifty bandits would be child's play, and they would definitely be routed.

But ambushing was different. There were only eight members of the War Wolf Battle Squad, plus Mila and Henry, making a total of ten people. How could they ambush the fleeing bandits, especially with another fifty in the forest?

"This is a military order!"

Henry's face darkened, silencing David, who had been about to speak.

"Prepare to depart immediately. I don't want to see the failure. Show the might of our Eldoria." Henry's aura was overwhelming, displaying a commanding presence.

"Yes!" David and Charles turned and walked away, accompanied by the roar of, "Arm up, get into battle formation."

The sound of clashing armor filled the air as the sword and shield soldiers put on their armor, with the spear soldiers carrying crossbows and the archers equipped with recurve bows.

This time, they formed a dense formation of archers, killing a wave before the enemy even got close. As long as they shot three or four times, they could easily take down hundreds of bandits.

Then it was the turn of the sword and shield soldiers, supported by the tank heavy armor team, with the archers in the rear. The cavalry would charge in at the end. By then, the bandits would be terrified.

This combination was devised by David and Charles and approved by Henry.

"Let's go!"

The fifty-person team immediately pushed towards the inner city of Hyratos. As for the militia at the dock, they had already fled!

"Prepare!" Henry said calmly.

"Yes!" Mila replied.

Mila immediately helped Henry put on his scale armor and took out an exquisite long sword from a long box, strapping it to Henry's waist.

Mila stared at Henry in a daze, completely devoid of his usual refined demeanor, replaced by a sense of iron and valor.

"Do you want to see? Feast your eyes on me when we get back!"

Henry chuckled, pinched the catgirl's nose, and walked towards the warhorse, effortlessly mounting it with a tug of the reins.

The warhorse neighed, galloping out, with the fully armed War Wolf Battle Squad following closely behind.

Mila's face was filled with seriousness and determination. She mounted her horse with ease, catching up with Henry, and rode by his side, her hand tightly gripping the recurve bow, ready to shoot anyone who appeared within range.

The members of the War Wolf Battle Squad were also armed with bows and arrows. They surrounded Henry in the middle, afraid that anyone would harm even a single hair on his head.

When they were a distance away from the forest, everyone dismounted and hid. They had to deal with the fifty bandits in the forest first and then go to ambush the others. Henry intended to capture all these bandits.

At this moment, Hyratos was in chaos. The militia recruited by the Lord of Hyratos had been reduced to a few, fighting alongside a dozen knights against the bandits' onslaught.

The Lord of Hyratos was sitting on the city wall, his knights blocking the ladder to the upper city wall, trying to kill the bandits surging up.

"Get that fat pig down here!" the bandit leader roared.

He wanted the lord to lead the way to the castle's treasury. The richest person was usually the lord, and only the lord knew about the treasury. As long as they could get their hands on the lord's savings, two-thirds of the mission would be completed.

"I'll go somewhere else!" the second-in-command of the bandits sneered.

"Go ahead!" The bandit leader, of course, knew what he was up to. Those merchants were rich.

"Follow me!" The second-in-command of the bandits led over a hundred bandits with long spears towards the bustling area of Hyratos.

The civilians in the city were hiding in the corners of their houses, trembling with fear. Some of them regretted not listening to those who came to recruit them. If they were in Eldoria now, maybe nothing would have happened, right?

"Ah, No!"

The second-in-command of the bandits flicked the blood off his long sword and continued forward. These peasants knew they were coming but still dared to run around in the streets.

The bandits occasionally broke into houses with long spears and killed who they could see, with anything valuable being stuffed into their pockets.

The sound of orderly footsteps echoed in the distance, causing the bandits to jump and look towards the people appearing on the road.

"Only fifty people, and they dare to come." The second in command of the bandits sneered.

In terms of numbers, the bandits had the upper hand, so what caution did he need? Of course, he would just kill them and take their equipment.

"We are soldiers of Eldoria, here to support you." David shouted.

"We are ready!" The fifty people shouted in unison, their morale rising.

"Ridiculous! Kill them!"

The second-in-command of the bandits waved his hand, and the hundreds of bandits behind him charged toward David and the others with their long spears in a chaotic and disorganized manner, treating David and the others as the militia they had killed before.

"Shoot!" David's eyes gleamed with a cold light.

The sword and shield soldiers lowered their shields, revealing the people behind them with bows and then. In the astonished eyes of the bandits, those deadly arrows shot into the bodies of the bandits, taking away wicked lives.
