Chapter 169 Willow's Request
In the early morning, a familiar and pleasant sound filled the air.
Henry let out a long, lazy yawn, startling the 'little guests' resting by the window.
"It's only seven... Oh, today is the day Mila and Emily are leaving."
Henry, still half-asleep, blinked and turned to see a pair of blue eyes, asking with a faint smile, "Are you ready?"
"Yes!" Mila replied. She was in her camouflage outfit, her blue eyes fixed on Henry. He had brought the outfit from Earth for her.
"Be careful and retreat if necessary," Henry reminded her. He was concerned that Mila, being too straightforward, might be easily deceived.
"I'm not as naive as Tess," Mila chuckled, covering her mouth, her eyes forming crescents.
She had heard Tess talked about her past experiences of being deceived repeatedly. If it weren't for her luck, she might have been sold off.
"Mila, I'm not stupid," Tess's voice boomed from outside. The door swung open, revealing Tess holding a baseball bat, followed by Emily, Ellie, and Willow.
"Good morning, my lord!" Emily greeted nervously. She was also dressed in camouflage, carrying a backpack, all prepared by Henry.
"Morning!"
Henry lazily greeted them, looking at Mila and Emily, and said, "I won't see you off. Just make sure to come back early."
His tone made it seem like they were going out for a few hours of fun, prompting Mila and Emily to smile charmingly.
"Okay!" Emily and Mila nodded.
"Mila, don't worry. I'll take care of Henry's safety," Tess said, slinging the steel baseball bat over her shoulder. She had picked it from a private warehouse the previous night.
The people present were all speechless. How came what this big cow said feels so off?
"We're leaving!" Mila nodded, her blue eyes fixed on Henry. Suddenly, to everyone's astonishment, she rushed toward him and kissed him passionately.
With a gust of fragrant wind, Mila, with a flushed face, grabbed the bewildered Emily and ran out of the room. The four members of the War Wolf Battle Squad, who were waiting outside, escorted them to the Azure Peak Range.
It would take two days to reach Emily's tribe from Eldoria, and the War Wolf Battle Squad would only escort them for the first half of the journey before they had to complete a secret mission assigned by Henry.
The atmosphere became somewhat eerie inside the room, with three pairs of eyes staring at Henry's lips.
Ellie shouted, "Damn it!"
Ellie was already feeling a bit down due to Mila's departure, but now she exploded in anger. Her fox ears stood up, and she exclaimed, "Mila is too cunning."
The last time she kissed Henry, who had been in high spirits for a while. Now she was completely jealous and about to go crazy. So she also pounced toward Henry - only to be lifted off the ground.
"What are you doing, Ellie?" Tess asked, with her purple eyes slightly narrowed, reached out and grabbed Ellie by the back of her collar, holding her up in the air as if she were a little puppy.
"I'm not doing anything! I just...I just wanted to help Henry get dressed, yes, that's it." Ellie quickly came up with a perfect excuse.
"Is that so?" Willow, who was squinting, added, "Ellie, it seems like you're not tall enough!"
Ellie's body seemed to freeze, and the next second, she waved her limbs, her movements resembling a dog's paddle, and pouted, "Damn it, I'll still grow taller."
"It seems like it will be difficult!" Tess muttered under her breath.
"Hey, I heard that, you big cow! I, I..." Ellie's words trailed off. It seemed like she couldn't compare to them, or her intelligence?
Henry yawned, a faint smile on his lips, watching the interaction between the beast-eared girls. It was a lively day.
"Henry, are you getting up? The Garden Eatery is opening for lunch today!" Willow said softly.
"Sure, let's go to the Garden Eatery for breakfast and lunch. Let's see how well they've learned from you," Henry chuckled.
"Great! You be the judge," Willow said playfully.
The chefs at the Garden Eatery had all worked in the castle's kitchen and had learned a thing or two from Willow. This time, they were transferred to be the chefs at the Garden Eatery.
"Then I'll look forward to it!" Henry opened his arms, letting Willow help him change.
After freshening up, the four of them set off, got into a luxurious carriage, and, under the protection of the remaining four members of the War Wolf Battle Squad, headed straight to the Garden Eatery.
In the carriage, Henry half-lay, his head resting on Tess's thigh. This was the legendary lap pillow, and he was enjoying it now.
"Henry, I, I..." Willow suddenly spoke, a bit hesitant.
"Go on, what do you want?" Henry yawned, curious about what request Willow, who was usually calm and gentle, would make.
"It's just that, we want to open a pizza shop on the commercial street," Willow quickly said. This was something she and the other girls had discussed, and Willow was the main person in charge.
"Sure, you can choose the location for the shop," Henry said calmly.
He thought it was something major, but it turned out to be just opening a pizza shop. The commoners in Eldoria might not be willing to spend more than a copper coin on a pizza, so it might not be as popular as the hamburger shop.
"Yeah!" Ellie, Willow, and Tess cheered. They all fell in love with pizza after trying it once.
The significance of opening the shop was to share delicious food. And of course, it would be great to make some money.
In the end, everything they did was just following Henry's general plan, and opening a pizza shop was just a matter of time.
At this moment, the carriage stopped. The coachman's voice came from outside. "Lord Henry, we've arrived at the Garden Eatery!"
