Chapter 37 You, the Mutant Catwoman!

Gabriel exclaimed, ready to charge at Henry and Willow. He had heard Mila's uncomfortable calls and knew the noble was troubling her.
A slender arm swiftly slapped Gabriel's head, scolding, "What are you yelling in the dead of night?"
Mila, holding Ellie, looking at Henry with concern. Tonight, it was her friend who had barged in. The fact that someone had entered the backyard and Henry's room due to ear-digging made her uneasy.
She had always been the guardian of their backyard, yet quite unexpectedly, an intrusion occurred under her watching, even if the invader was her friend.
"It's not what you think." Gabriel scratched his head, his eyes on Ellie, awaiting her command.
Ellie realized that Mila had a soft spot for Henry. No, it was a vague affection that drove Mila to help him.
"Gabriel, go back and let them know we're safe," Ellie said, held by Mila.
"But..." Gabriel glanced at Henry, worried he might harm Ellie and the others.
"Go back! You're useless!" Mila scolded, glaring furiously.
"It was Mila who taught me," Gabriel said, afraid of Mila's wrath.
"Leaving right!" Mila raised her hand, ready to strike, and Gabriel swiftly jumped out the window.
Henry was amused by watching Gabriel's escape.
"It's fine. They're Mila's friends." Henry said, patting Willow's head, "just an unusual way of visiting!"
Willow couldn't help but laugh seeing Ellie in Mila's arms.
"Henry, this is my best friend, Ellie, a clever fox orc," Mila introduced, raising Ellie's arms.
"Stop! If you continue, I'll reveal your habit of stealing food." Ellie threatened.
"Who steals food? I borrowed it with my skills. That's not stealing." Mila said, grabbing Ellie's ear.
"No." Her ears were sensitive, and instantly became submissive.
Henry, watching the playful catgirl and fox orc with joy. It was the first time he saw this side of Mila.
"Alright, it's late. Mila, take your friends to rest," Henry said, glad to have met two new types of orc.
"Okay!" Mila immediately complied, carrying Ellie away.
"Hey, put me down. I can walk," Ellie protested.
"No."
"What? Are you challenging me, little cat? Take this! You're a mutated cat. No, you are a cow-girl now!"
"The chest was still so flat. Little pitiful Ellie, Let me help you!"
Willow and Henry watched the two of them, wondering if they were enemies or close friends.
"Henry, I'll clean up here. You can sleep in my room," Willow said, her face slightly became red.
"Let the staff handle it tomorrow. You go and rest," Henry said.
"What about you?" Willow asked.
"I have some work to finish in the study. I took a nap at noon, so I'm not tired."
Henry left with his hands waving. It was too late to sleep here, so he decided to return to Earth.
"Alright." Willow felt a little disappointed.
Mila and Ellie bickered all the way back to Mila's room, where Mila threw Ellie onto the soft bed.
"Wow, so soft!" Ellie's petite body sank into the blankets, making her feel incredibly comfortable.
"Ellie, aren't you supposed to go to the South now?" Mila's voice was a bit low.
Ellie lowered her head with her fox ears drooping, exuding a sense of melancholy.
Mila fell silent. She could guess why Ellie was hesitating. Ellie was just worried about her. Without Henry, she might have starved in the dungeon, with no chance of seeing each other again.
Ellie suddenly jumped out of bed and threw herself into Mila's arms, her hands tightly embracing Mila, from sobbing to crying loudly.
Her backbone had returned, her reliance, her food..., her sense of security had returned.
"Alright, stop crying. I'm fine. I was planning to go to the South to find you in the future, but I didn't expect to see you now."
Mila gently patted Ellie's back. Although Ellie was older, she was too depend on Mila, making her seem like a little sister when she in front of Mila.
"Mila, what exactly happened? Why didn't you come back to us for so long?"
"It all started about eight or nine days ago. That day, I was rescued from the dungeon by Henry."
The two of them chatted in the privacy of the room.
