Chapter 101

“Oh, I passed by my office. There’s an important thing that I needed to do,” Levi replied. He was ashamed to admit that he was just inside the car, and he just watched them as they got inside the building. He wanted to get mad at himself because he was thinking so wrong about Amelia and his own brother, Logan. But he was also ashamed to ask them questions as he didn’t want to give them an idea that he was doubting them.

Levi shook his head and he tried to calm his heart and clear his mind especially that Amelia said that she was with Logan, and it looked like the woman had no plan of hiding that from him.
He felt guilty while thinking of all the thoughts that ran in his head earlier.


It didn’t take long, and they finally finished taking a shower. Levi couldn’t deny that what was happening between him, and Amelia was magical. It was something that he never imagined happening for the past three years of his life. He never expected the woman to come back in his life after she disappeared without any trace. Until now, he didn’t know what happened to her back then, but he chose not to dwell in the past but only look forward to what was going to happen between the two of them.

They left the washroom and suddenly, they had a growling sound. They looked at each other and then laughed.

Amelia just realized that it was her stomach.

“Let me just warm the food. I just realized that I still haven’t eaten yet since I left earlier,” Amelia said to Levi in defense while still smiling at him. He could see that her face turned red, but she was trying to hide the embarrassment that she felt.

Levi and Amelia went out of the washroom. “You better change, babe. Let me go and warm the food,” he suggested while he stood up and about to walk out of the room.

“Are you sure? I can do it. I should just be quick,” she said while looking at the man.

Levi nodded her head.

“Yes, that’s easy,” he replied and then he went out of Amelia’s bedroom. Then Levi went into his bedroom and wore his pajamas before he went to the kitchen to warm the food.

After a couple of minutes, Amelia finally arrived, and they started to eat late dinner together. Though Levi already had his dinner earlier during the meeting with his colleagues, he still ate with Amelia. This was the kind of setup he was dreaming about three years ago.

“Tomorrow is Saturday. We are going to Mommy’s house. Are you ready?” Suddenly, Levi asked while they were in the middle of their meal.

Amelia’s eyebrows furrowed while she was eating her food. She didn’t get what the man was trying to say to her.

“Ready for what?” Her eyes were looking at him and her voice was wondering. He was right that the woman had forgotten the discussion that they had a couple of days ago.

“Oh, you already forgot. Didn’t I tell you that I am going to introduce you to my brother and mother? As my official girlfriend?” Levi exclaimed while looking intently at the surprise face of Amelia.

Amelia nodded her head as if she suddenly remembered their conversation.

“Oh, right but I am sorry. I have work tomorrow at the hospital, babe,” she said. She totally forgot Levi’s plan since she had been so busy for the whole week.

“That’s okay. Just ask for a leave please,” Levi suggested. He looked at her as if he was begging. He waited for this day to come, and he wouldn’t like to postpone it. He wanted to tell his family about his relationship with Amelia and the whole world.

“Alright, I will tell them,” Amelia replied, and they continued eating.


After their meal, Levi left Amelia alone in the kitchen as he went inside of his bedroom. He remembered to send a message to his brother. He had to update him about the project and after sending a message, Logan quickly called him. They talked about the projects that they were handling and how everything had gone with his meeting.

Until Amelia entered his bedroom and the call that he had with Logan ended.

Levi couldn’t help but feel excited about what was about to happen tomorrow. He would be making everything about him and Amelia official to his family. And, he could shout to the whole world that Amelia was his girlfriend.

“Bro, you are going to mom’s house tomorrow, right? I have a surprise to tell you,” he said and he couldn’t hide the excitement in his voice. He wanted to tell Logan about it but Levi held his tongue. He needed to put a little bit of suspense.

“Really? Can I guess what it is?” Logan said and he was obviously trying to tease Levi.

He shook his head as if Logan could see him.

“No. Not now. Wait for tomorrow. Just do it there at mom’s house,” they both laughed while he was hugging Amelia.

“Alright, see you tomorrow. By the way, is Amelia coming with you to mom's house?” Logan suddenly asked, which made him frown.

“Yes, is there a problem?” He asked. He tried to turn away the thoughts that started to pop up inside his mind again.

“Nope, not at all,” Logan replied which made his eyebrows furrowed. As he was wondering why Logan was asking about Amelia coming to their house.

Levi and Amelia woke up early the next day. He could feel his heart beating so fast because of the excitement. They prepared themselves to go to his mother’s house and Amelia even suggested getting a cake in a nearby bakeshop to bring at his mother’s house.
He couldn’t help but smile because his girlfriend was so thoughtful. He couldn’t remember any instance that Cameron had thought about his mother.
