After that Amelia gave him medicine. Then, they both laid down on his bed after he drank his medicine. This time, he was hugging her and his leg was on her stomach. His hand was wrapped on her waist while her head was in his arm.
Levi was staring at her face. He knew that he could stare forever in her beautiful face and he would never get tired of it. He would always want to wake up and see her face first thing in the morning and her face to be the last thing that he would be seeing before he went to sleep at night.
“Hey, are you not going to sleep?” Amelia asked him if her eyebrows were knitted together again while she was looking at him.
He shook his head as a response.
“Maybe not now. I want to fall asleep looking at your face. I want to wake up and it’s your face that I wanted to see first thing in the morning,” he said, full of emotions while he was looking at her.
“You know what, Levi? That’s enough. You are being so sweet,” she said to him and then she pinched his nose.
He just wanted to make her feel that he meant every word that he was uttering at her. He wanted to make her feel that she was special not just because of what happened between the two of them.
“As long as it makes you smile, I want those smiles to cheer me up as I am moving on and then I am looking forward to our future. I want to leave everything behind and just let it go by gone,” he exclaimed.
Amelia gave him a smack kiss on his lips after that the woman hugged him so tight. He was surprised when she sank her face to his chest. They were in that position until his eyelids were getting heavy as he dozed off.
Amelia woke up from the ray of the sun hitting her face with a knitted forehead. She slowly opened her eyes. She felt her body was sore. She was exhausted and then she felt a weight on her chest and on her legs. She realized it was Levi’s arm and leg that was on her top.
She slowly removed it so that Levi wouldn’t wake up. She got off the bed and then she closed the curtain that they forgot to close last night.
She was standing on the side of the bed, and she couldn’t help but stare at Levi who was peacefully sleeping. Amelia couldn’t help but smile as she remembered what happened last night.
She slowly bowed her head to give him a kiss into his lips but she was shocked when Levi sucked her lips instead when her face got closer to his face. Then the man was not content as he held her nape and this time.
Amelia never thought that she would be waking up in the morning like this. Her lips only parted Levi’s lips when they were already running out of breath.
She could feel herself panting and her heart was pounding so fast. And, as she rested her head in Levi’s chest, she could also feel his heart beating so fast.
“Baby, it is still early. Can you come back to my side? Come on, let’s sleep more,” Levi said in a lazy tone while his eyes were still closed.
“Just continue sleeping, sleepy head. Who even told you to wake up?” She said while smiling.
“Oh, because I felt your soft lips next to mine,” Levi said while smiling as his eyes were still closed.
"Go back to sleep, let me just go and prepare our breakfast." She said and stood up and walked to the washroom to do her daily routine. When she's done, she went to the kitchen to make breakfast for them.
She was so engrossed in making pancakes when she heard the elevator door open. Then, there were footsteps that were approaching in her direction.
“Good morning, honey,” a baritone voice from behind said. She turned her head and she saw Logan, Harper and Leonard.
“Oh, good morning, guys,” she greeted.
“It’s that a pancake that you are making?” Harper asked.
She nodded. “Yes. Guys, sit down there and let me make more of it so we can all have breakfast together.”
“Wow, that’s great. Thank you, Amelia. I am honestly craving for that,” she said with excitement in her voice.
“Woah, you might be pregnant?” She teased her but she noticed that the two people suddenly went quiet. They were both speechless and she could feel the tension around her.
“Come on, I am just kidding,” she said smiling and then she continued to do what she was doing. She didn’t mean anything on what she had said so she was surprised with the reaction of Logan and Harper.
Amelia went to the fridge and then she took out blueberries and strawberries. Then, she washed them and cut the strawberries into four while Harper turned on the electric kettle.
“Let me help you, Amelia,” she said to her while smiling.
“Thank you.”
“By the way, where’s my brother? Is he still sleeping?” Logan asked from behind before he went out of the room.
“Hey, I am here,” she heard Levi shouting.
“Great because I am already about to kidnap your personal therapist,” she heard Logan laugh after saying those words.
Amelia couldn’t help but shake her head because of how naughty the man was. It was obvious he was teasing his brother.
They were eating at the table when she volunteered to feed Leonard. While she was feeding the little boy she couldn’t explain the strange feeling that she had. It was as if she felt that she was feeding her own son. The feeling was the same emotions that she felt towards her own son, Luke and she couldn’t figure out why she was feeling this towards Leonard.
The meal was over when Levi and Logan went down to their office and the two women were left in the penthouse.
Amelia couldn’t help but wonder with the way that Harper was looking at her. She would look at her and then she would look away. It was as if the woman wanted to say something, but she just couldn’t say it.
Harper was just silently looking at her. She wanted to tell her to spill out whatever was bothering her but at the same time she was a bit shy. She just met the woman, and they were not that close so she didn’t want her to think that she was assuming.
Then afterwards, she heard the woman cough as if she was trying to get her attention.
She lifted her head and looked at her. Her eyes were as if questioning her what she wanted to say.
“Uhm… Amelia, there’s something that I want to ask from you. If you don’t mind,” she said while looking at her. “But you have the right not to answer it,” she added quickly, which made her frown.
