Amelia’s first day of work with Levi was not that bad or good. Probably, it was because of the past that they had. They were trying to act casual with each other though they couldn’t deny that there was something going on between them, especially Levi who had the courage to ask her and demand for an answer for her sudden disappearance.

She could still feel her heart beating so fast after she left Levi in his room and had given him his last medicine for the day.

She let out a deep sigh. This was just the start of her every day with Levi in this townhouse. She should get herself ready even more.

Elene left them right after their lunch. The incidents that happened to her and Levi that afternoon had no continuation because after they talked about where she went and why she was gone in the past three years, everything went back to normal as if they hadn't talked about it.

When she entered his room, he was awake and reading a book. The rest of the day, they didn't talk about his or her personal life. And, she was grateful for that.

This was what Amelia exactly wanted everything to happen. She was there to earn money and nothing more. She came there as Levi’s personal therapist and nurse to help him walk again and not to help him move on and love again.

She had to always remember that so she could guard her heart all the time. She knew that she had the right vision, but she could never tell when her heart would betray her.

Amelia was lying down on her bed and she was starting to text her best friend, Elene. She couldn’t imagine that the woman would just leave her just like that.

“Hey, girl!” She said in her message to her best friend.

“Yes? How’s your first day so far? Did he ask about what happened to you three years ago?” Elene asked one after the other.

It was as if Amelia could already imagine her facial expressions.

“Well, as expected,” she said. “He asked and demanded for an answer.

“So, what did you tell him?”

“I told him that I am here for work and nothing else.”

“Hmp! If he only knew. Anyway, forget about it and just relax as much as you can while you are there. Because whether we like it or not, soon, he will find out. I am going to sleep now. Good night.”

“Good night.”

“Good night,” Elene replied again and then she put down her phone on the top of the bedside table.

There were a lot of things that were running inside her head.

She woke up early and then she took a shower. Amelia was dismayed when she realized that she forgot her hair dryer in her apartment. So, she had no choice but to tighten her hair even if it was still wet.

Then, she decided to head into the kitchen to make a coffee for herself. The kitchen was empty though she had already seen that the breakfast was already prepared on the dining table.

She took a piece of sausage to the table while she was having her coffee and when she finished drinking, she decided to go into Levi’s bedroom.

Amelia knew that this would always be her daily routine. So, as much as possible, she had to make herself comfortable even if there was something strange happening between her and Levi. She had to always remind herself that she was there to help the man walk. She was there for work and not because of anything else.

So, today would be their first session. She slightly knocked on the door and then after that she pushed it open.

When she got inside of Levi’s bedroom, she found the man was still soundly sleeping on his bed. Amelia couldn’t help herself but to look at his handsome face. She checked her wrist watch for his medicine time. She started to prepare all his medicine when all of a sudden, she heard Levi’s voice from behind.

“Good morning,” the man greeted her in a hoarse voice. She almost jumped because she was startled when he suddenly spoke.

“Oh, good morning, sir. How’s your night?” She said to recover from the embarrassment.

“Well, shouldn’t I be the one supposedly asking you? So, how’s your first night here? Were you able to sleep?” He asked while looking at what she was doing.

Amelia couldn’t understand but all of a sudden, she felt conscious in every action that she was taking. She couldn’t understand herself.

“Well, not bad at all. I can say that I was able to sleep,” she lied. The truth was that she was tossing and turning every side of her bed for the whole night.

It was already dawn when she fell asleep, and she even heard the sound of the cockcrow.

Amelia went inside of the washroom so she could get all what Levi needed to clean him up. She tried to act professional despite the things that she knew that she had to do with the man. She accepted being his nurse, so better for her to behave accordingly.

After she cleaned him up, she could feel his eyes on her as she started to remove his pajamas. Last night, it was Uncle Mon who had helped him to change his clothes but today, it was her since she was already there. On top of that, the old man had his own task to do so Levi couldn’t rely on him all the time.

She heard Levi take a deep breath while he was watching her.

“It seems like I made a mistake to get a woman as my personal therapist,” Levi murmured which made her lift her head but quickly looked away from him.
